  4. Hi i just have a few questions to ask to help me understand a few things better. Any comments or better still links would be fantastic. What is the general process with Tuning using Wideband lambda and logging feature's for Road/Track Tuning. How do they piggyback the M8 to the standard GTR Ecu so that functions Like Attesa, Air con Etc. are run perfectly by the stock Ecu. This is basicly the setup i have designed and wanting to use so i can learn to tune the car my self on the road & track days. Thank's

  6. All Learning drifters should understand Small little things like the Machinery and How they rape it ... Golds levels in oil on the dipstick what next? .... If you could describe your Gold theory better Texture Carrot Etc ... we could tell if you have a blown head gasket or just totaly Nieve.....
  7. SteveL it was way more things than just the wrong oil that caused tension. I simply found out he had BS'd me on a few points > this Was not the Point of the Thread I Asked here about the viscos because i didnt know and wanted to get the info form people that did, incase of Damage. Regarding the OIL analysis I just found it Personaly interesting to see what becomes of the oil after a term, not to argue. Its all good now ... Cars home ,it has its proper oil and the Vl Commie has its own batch now too, Nothing Wasted! thanks everyone.
  8. Bummer mate ... the Fibre glass bonnet is a doozey!!! How hell do you find out about that ? It might be like n15m0's Info on Steering wheels, Accepted brand's Or Maybe get/borrow a stock one simply for Deffects. Good luck ...

  11. it was a case of me swallowing my temper to get my car outta there! Redline make it in that Viscos For there Big ol Gappy motors in the States .
  12. My Solution.... Drain the 20/50, Place it in VL RB 30 Sohc re buy 10w40 And replace without changing the filter !

  14. Yeah its pissed me off a bit ..... I will do a short change 2000 To be hounest i just want the car outta his shop ... He came across as knowing a bit but as you go along you realise that he is learning as he is going ... This is the last mechanic to ever touch this Car in the town of Albury Wodonga .. I have learnt so so the hard way .... it is mega Cold here in winter so it makes no sense again! Thanks Ish!
  15. I just had discussion's with my mechanic where i told him i wanted a 10w 40 redline rating in the gtr! What it had! I find out he couldnt get it and has put in a 15 w 50 version ... NOw i am paranoid about this because of the complex componnents in the 26's head . He made a statement that i will have better oil pressure because it reads low on the guage ... I just belive the Gauge is intermitent . and waiting to install a better device.. Now we are talking $130 worth of oil here and i just wanted opinions if i should re change or run it until next change ... What could happen ? Topend ware? to me the motor is very Quiet and strong with 140,000 km's .. I do know it had its magor service at 100000 belt (Etc) What do you think ?
  16. Changing the actual Dumps I cant comment on really but i was able to change both rear dump gaskets ....Turbos on. I would of assumed this could be done !
  17. I will throw another one up ? I want An AR of .84 for the To4z on a 2.6 litre but may have to settle for an AR of 1. for now .... My curse from Vl days. Will the motec be able with its antilag enabled be able to adjust the Lag with such a big rear Ar? I Know its a total theoy question but it facinates me !

  19. I just thought i would throw this up as i am in the waiting stage ... I would luv to work on it until it was finished but not all suppliers and tradesmen feel the same ;/ Its turned out that i will be updateting the R32 gtr with a Motec m8 and its normal twin turbos until certain parts are fabricated and Sourced... Now i am Aware that the ceramic twins are good for a maximum of about 14 Psi before they fail, So for now i am wondering? 1.How far can I tune the the car Power wise before the injectors and pump reach there limit 2. Once the upgrade of a single To4Z rear Ar 1, Pump, injectors etc... How many ponies before the stage 1 RB26 oil pump surface collar and stock internals get risky? Cheers ish!

  22. Well I know this is not what you want but i may as well mention it ... I have the same, a brand new in the box To4z with a rear AR of 1 suited for a RB 3.0 / 3.1 litre application ... since i have opted to go the Rb 26 i need a .84 rear ... Currently I am waiting on the supplier to change mine over after he agreed to but i havent heard back yet .... If i sell this one i will grab it ... I had it sold but the supplier told me all would be good with the change over now i cant get ahold of him ! and knocked the buyer back... Is it a split pulse ?

  25. Sorry to hear Razor... Not here to make you feel bad but you live in Sydney, you have no Comp insurance and you left this car on the street in the middle of the night regulary I am guessing! a recipe for disaster. I hope you hear something but to me this was planned as a quick money maker for how easy it was for the thieves to execute. Again sorry for your loss but how much do you want to push it ?
