  1. Hi . i have a small bug i am trying to fix urgently with my AC climate control. I have just waited whole week for the appointment to have the gas done , new dryer and replaced fuse . All worked fine until 2 days later when it started to fail so i took it back and had to leave car there all day and walk home .... He rings me at 600pm and says the fuse keeps blowing and it has to go to a sparky ;/ Now i have to wait another week for the sparkie Does anyone have any clues on this on what the short could be caused by so i can go hunting with the test light ... the cars black and the heat wave is killing me trying to go away for holiday thanks ...

  3. i drive a vl and a r32R and i think ScorpR32 hits many nails on heads ... the ratio of jerks is exagerated more because of the marketing dermagraphic for a commodore i think... the boyz ,the beer, the shed , the bitches etc they have always been like that the beer swilling australian pride wankers. it goes back even further to the uneducated hoon ... there was a time i couldnt even take my turbo Calais to the nats with out being crusified by 5 litre owners .... since then many overhead cams have given them an uppercut and now they just talks poo and remain in denial there using cavemen donks ....
  4. hey hey , just picked up the Gtr from its first magor service and farily happy although no dyno run was available ! the car now has a full set of redline fluids except cooling new spark plugs (some platinum type) gapped to a .9 Big thanks to all you guys and especialy ferni for nailing the problem with the plugs .. it was hard to drive it round for that week unserviced wanting to give it a serve but not ... the top end miss is gone and its just Wicked!!! B) i have one question for any others using redline 10/30 10/40 about oil pressure. its definetly lower than what was in it but is smooth and quiet. at idle 750rpm there is almost none on the gauge but it rise's real fast as soon as cars revs climb ... is that ok ? I am thinking it is not to bad because of how constant it stays as soon as you start to rev it so that would mean the oil is flying around smoother nicely ... correct me if I'm wrong??? thanks again SAU's
  5. thanks ferni .... i am off to get new plugs in a minute on a sader note .... edge mechanical called me and stated that he wasent comfortable doing the run with just the electrics pulled which made him hesitant on time frame for a shaft detatch ... we both are studying it so we can do it later .... this is the basic service i will cary out on it instead engine Redline 10w30 gearbox:redline lightwieght shockproof diffs: shell synthetic lsd hydrolics systems: undecided yet Cooling system undecided yet

Thanks SKY031 ,Mulkers.... as it turns out the guy i am going to is Edge Mechanical using old business's retalicks dyno. its worked out well as he atleast is prepared to study thie car and bring in pros if needed (not like the others i tried) failing that i will gladly try shepp ... good reports from there Anyone want a set of twin Hks pods?
  7. OK then ... For future Ref for others maybe , i found a place in Albury/wodonga that was willing to take a look at the gtr on his 2 wheel dyno. He has just taken over the business and isnt listed yet and sort of leaning his new dyno but has a good range of performance cars he works on, all very happy from grapevine reports ... Just wondering if anyone who does this can offer any feedback on how you went actualy doing it saftey wise. the guys really interested to try but a bit hesitant and I am a bit nervous about it but know it can be done . the main reason we are attempting this is i have just got the car and thats really the only bug being a miss in top end power . i have changed the fuel filter > no different I have reset the ECu as per manual >no different it runs HKS pods which i dont like and havent cleaned (unsure how yet)but i doubt its the problem .......will be changing to apexi on dyno day any tips i can give the new dyno guy about the hook up and test procedure would be fantastic as he really wants a gtr in his shop for promo ? thanks 35
  8. thast exaclty why MattSR ... of course it will need tweaks on installation but essentialy MattSR your were spot on with how my motec will run .. i have the money to do it now just gathering information and the right man to do it .... Seems like a an expensive way to get rid of a topend miss and gather some more clean HP but it sure beats interviewing each mechanic thats guessing in my area .... A progressive upgrade for the gtr ......cant wait !
  9. i will be going the m600 motec with logging and wideband.... Mainly because where i live i cant even get a response about he cars tuning. from anyone... Not even here !!!
  10. can anyone comment on the fuchs range for a RB26? .... they have an engine oil 5-50 fully synthetic for 65 dollars... the rep told me he used to work for nissan servicing and this is the best he has seen!
  11. it not somethimg to risk //// just put new oil in it to the level!!! why would you even try this ? a 30 dollar bottle of oil Vs fixing a diff a heat beated diff...hmmm hard decision ! not

  13. umm how do you convince a dyno operator that it is back at 2 wheel drive so he will put it on his dyno to tune it .. i have a r32 and i said i would turn off the front wheels and he still wont do it ...any suggestions ?
  14. hey .... I recently got my baby home after months of hunting for a good example. I live in a town that you would think could accommodate tuning of an Awd Gtr but NOOO! Albury /Wodonga has the population and the cars but unfortunately no one game to take it on. Thinking About it My self if i could just get some training on One (AW) Dyno! Anyway I have to find an alternative and don’t mind traveling. Could anyone recommend where i could take the car to get its standard map looked at as it has a stutter up top under boost and no one here will even look at it.... i just want to keep this car right and not guess for the moment so i dont accidently hurt it . Albury is 300 kms from melb and 450 to outter sydney on the hume Hwy. Millions of things are freighted through everynight which puzzles me why this place is so dead for good turbo mechanics , performance parts and information ... A few suggestions would really help SAU ...thanks
  15. wheeled n dealed Vl turbos and kits .... its all been about getting the gtr .... i got it now and really havent found anything else i would strive for noyt even the Aw drive TT turbo porche...
  16. interesting!!! ... it sits at idle fine and nothing changes after a harder drive ... i am thinking a plug would give a more constant miss and not just fail up top . I am from Vl land and the learning curve is faily simular but totaly different........ i will work it out
  17. didnt want to start a new thread so i thought i would ask here. as its simular.... my R32 gtr runs really well to the say last bit of topend then just starts to spluter as its adjusts it self ....its odd because the car is potent right up to where it plato's out then goes hard again. i am guessing fuel pressure maybe? I'm not sure that i can get this car on a dyno in this town as there all 2 wheelers and i dont really want o send all drive to the back until i undestand it more ... Any hints before i go hunting !
  18. its done 140,000km. What i can tell straight off is someone has spent a bit servicing it and maintaining the driveline. One thing ill ask is ... AC cant be gased for a few days but cabin is hotter than it should be even at night in the cool ?!? reminds me of a car with heater on no fan running. Middle console and dash are not over hot just warm i My thinking is maybe the 3 inch is causing the heat through the cabin and may need attention but not sure. i dont want the climate contol on all the time when it is gased but until my manual get here i dont know Jack about the heating system ... the cars temp is perfect at all times ...

I took it to engine builder mates today... after he stopped spinning out i had it (because i told no one i was getting) he said the same thing as djr81 mentioned ...Also it has a tinest exhaust leak at a flange where sealent has broken away,,, apart from that lookin foward to giving her a good home ...))

  22. hello all .... been floating around here asking a few questions before i made a purchase ... b Heres briefly what i settled on and thanks to furrybarry for his reply 1990 GtR black freshly painted basicly stock through out ... pretty tidy 3inch exhaust Hks adjustable suspention Downers Slight tick in engine ... barley noticable i havent fully inspected yet... hoping for a small manifold leak or ill get the head recoed : no gas in Aircon from shipping... and its bloody hot in the sun

  25. hey nice to me you all ... i have been combing though the threads and nice place thought i would say hello and smooze over the same topic as slaughter is asking i am in the same situation of finding a nice R32/r33 after having Vlt,s most of my driving . will probably get r32 ...fav! this week i am test driving one for the first time but to be hounest i know nothing about the animals as far as the diffs and torque setting to test this out . the rb26 doesent really bother me overhauling if it ever gets to that . BUT Is there any way to test this part of the driveline (ATESSA E-TS torque system)..... and diff condition I ask because i live 300 kms from anyone that will look at a gtr if i break it and have to go in blind not knowing tradies in the area ...
