your telling me i am Closed minded ! lol ok ... it wouldnt be that i have had these trigger systems before or anything! the programmable out did it with no guesswork at all with higher octane fuel, premixed plus deppending on the ECU it can contain Auxillary's to inject what ever you need in sequence... not relying on some 3rd hand pressure switch to first gauge manifold pressures and then react.... We used to build these things ,,, there not much more than an adjustable hobbs pressure switch and a Hvolume pump.... good luck with that eye burning invisable crap....
-
Why would you want to inject water to stop detination , this technology was pioneered way before the availability and easy use of programmable ECU'S which kind of eliminated the need for Auxillury ping control.... save your money and get a PFC or a wolf 3D and recieve way more freedom and piece of mind !

Should I Get A Pfc Help Me Make Up My Mind!
ish replied to PhilGTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you are on 200kw's + if you know where the little restrictors are ! your Standard ECU will learn this power not a problem! Get a PFC if you want a plug and play upgrade for bigger turbos and around the 250 260 + kilowatt's -
i have had my motec M8 installed in an R32 GTR but took it with me when i sold the car. Motec offer probably the most hi tec features available for the track and the street but you have to remember that none of it comes cheap... What you get is basicly an After market ECU with basic features enabled allowing controling of engine mapping etc and a certain amount of logging time to make these adjustments . Where Motec starts to seperate its self from the other Ecus is it is can be opened up futher feature wise at a cost giving more serious racing features... Wideband Lambda, Constant Logging, Launch Control, Boost control, Gearcut ,Telemetry and so on! As far as cost goes thats very hard to say . After purchasing the right ECU for your needs you have to sought of know what your wanting from your ECU to determine if it needs to be fully installed or piggybacked deppending on what you want it to control .... each feature can cost different amounts or become enabled in groups.... i will have a look though my old tuning reciepts and mail to give yo a bit better idea My M8 came off a touring car with every feature enabled Very luck find Hope this Helps abit http://www.motec.com.au/ < Dload the software and have a bit of a play http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIABV8/category30_1.htm < Basic purchase pricing

definatley a buyers market at the moment. After chasing down a nice r32GTR 18 months ago i started to wonder on the devaluation and sorta freaked a bit when my 22000 dollar car i was babyn fell away to around the 19000 mark in 6 months ... Now i can get one for even less with much better AM accesories. its happening now that unmodified clean low KM Skylines will out value some individuals expencivley modified packages as less and less original cars become available.

tell us mike how you managed to belly that thing in such an odd place ? did the boost snap on and it over steered or did it understeer and you lost the front wheels skating?
-
Omg! m3gtr you have ranted so much about your personal views I feel your close to getting this thread closed because you simply can’t handle others opinions! which is a shame You have put up fantastic points for and against on all facets of Drifting but there is no need to get so pissed off…. It’s only a discussion I strongly suggest you pull back on the victimization angle you’re going down now about history because we are all friends here who understand history and it has nothing to do with Drifting!!!

have a little faith!!! Fuga, Stagea, Cima and President are not exactly competive comparisons to a GTR sports car. Our luxery market is saturated and basicly controlled by the 2 locals here. My belief is we will get access to certain models of this GTR top end through ordering rather than a complete brand release that you can walk in and buy your self an infinity
-
you can guess with logic ! The original R32s where priced up that high due to the high Yen and low Aussie $ value at the time so it makes it slighty more Viable this time. We have (aust) very similar production requirments as in we are already right hand drive with similar complience rules. To me its a no brainer that the car will be available for purchase here, just may have to waite on your order if you have the money.... I say we all chip in a few bucks and get a SAU demo car, develope it like hell and create a frenzy so they have to keep sending them

cant wait for this

Ill give you a greeting... should have done all that to a 26 and judging by your response attitude to some of the respected members around here i would say not many care about your cut and pasting ...

First you need some champions , then you need followers , then you need people with vision and money, then u need Tv to make money out of it so it can perpetuate it's self . Australia is screwed on population and venues in Drift for a start because we are dont have the spoondoolies or the numbers to create extra viable Comps/seasons outside what 7, 9 and 10 use to make advertising dollars with. I believe Baby boomers control most of what is allowed to come to fruition on these level's Eg. V8 supa car, afl, Nrl, tennis, cricket swimming because they control the corperate $$$ and media while most other sports are fairly sectioned of to the followers (underground you might say) If your drifting sport was good enuff to draw the small amount of people in this country that we have away from there V8 supa car , tennis etc then it may take off. Bottom line ...drifting although spectacular cant develope the money because not enuff people are into it and the magority(being the cashed up people) in this country dont want to see it. Japan and the US have massive populations which can carry many sports because of the money it can generate from so many more fans . its a shame really that we are still so small .... I dont have any answers for the pekers trying it on the street in dangerous situations..... i bet even with a scene you would still have these people trying to show off.

Fitting A Autronic Sm2 Computer To A R32 Gtr 1990
ish replied to SysLink67's topic in Western Australia
i havent run an autronic sm2 but have similar Motec M8 Engine tune wise on the dyno you will get similar results being that both Ecu's allow fuel mapping and adjustment/calibration software . the Autronic has a few more expandable features as in a closed loop function, Sefl tuning mode, logging and i think traction control ...dont quote me but To run an Autronic system you will need to follow a strict install process, auxilary autronic loom and sensors where as the Apexi PFC is virtually plug and play. -
poo sandwitch .... so close but yet so far
