My agreed value went down heaps rang them up added hardly anything in mods went up 2k and premium only went up extra $40 or so justcars said its all automated on computer just ring up and say u want a better deal if that doesnt work ring 2 or 3 times u will most likely get a different value everytime

Just afew more ideas -Unplug your ignitor pack - Unplug air flow metre -If you have power fc and comander set rev limiter very low ie. 300rpm and keep controller next to where you sleep -keep axe near back door so when you do catch them attempting to steal it you can run after the pricks -Also big german sheppard helps as a deterant lol

ok i spoke to regency again today to confirm the price and as stated above the CORRECT price is $132 he said the other bloke is trippn lol and second visit is $66. I will edit my original post so the correct info is in there. Cheers iLEC

Ill ring up regency again on monday but the guy did clearly say to me $298 for an inspection i also thought this was a bit steep and questioned him..... ill tell yas how i go.

I did ring up the police station after speaking to regency they said to bring it to your local cop shop and explain the situation and see what happens the only problem is the car is to low and to loud anyway and i have different turbo, ecu, bleedvalve..... so the car is defectable i just didnt get defected on what is actually defectable. So its not gona matter if i bring it to the cop shop cuz there just gona pick on the things thats defectable anyway(fair enough i guess) so im gona raise it and shut it up abit then take it to the cop shop and try my luck but i really think im just wasting my time. It just pisses me off that a coper can defect you when they clearly have no idea what the hell their on about.

I got defected for having a pod filter (which is secure) and for having a front mount intercooler. I rang regency they said it is NOT a defect unless the pod is not secure and if the fmic goes through a structual point of the car(the piping) its a defect which mine did not (cop obviously had no idea what he was on about) and when i rang regency they said it WILL cost $298 for first inspection and i questioned that they said the price went up about 10 months ago. From what i gather the cut reo bar is a definate defect but i have heard if they cant see it they wont pick on it........ i have had to cut mine to fit my fmic and new front bar so still undecided weather or not to change it as they wont be able to see it unless they take my front bar of. So has anyone got any standard 33 gtst series 1 springs i can buy lol. Cheers iLEC

Yeah mate i know they check everything lol but if we could put togethor a checklist maybe we could sticky it ontop of the page to help everyone so far i know you have to have -Standard Turbo -100mm ground clearance lowest point of the car -r33 has to be 345mm high at the front 355mm at the rear -no louder than 90 db -Apparently a front mount and pod is ok if it doesnt go through a structual point of the car and pod is secure (this is what i got defected for induction) which regency say its not even a defect.... - No bleed valve, boost controllers -Must have standard ECU -Suspension Bushes mustnt be cracked or damaged -Hicas lock bar are not allowed cuz its a welded suspension component If anyone has failed the regency test which i gather isnt hard to do could you please post in hear what you needed to change to get through and we can add to the list. Also the regency inspection is now $132 and roughly a 1-2 week wait to get in. Any info posted in hear could go along way to help out alot of people as alot of people are getting defected lately. Hey There The other week i got pulled over and defected so im chasing down some standard parts. Does anyone in the northern suburbs preferably have front and rear springs to suit an r33 gtst series 1 and how much would you want for them? I will add more parts to this post as i go through the whole process. Also if anyone else has been through regency with an r33 can you please tell me what they looked over just so i can get a general idea of how much work i gota do. Cheers Allan

I have also been defected and was told its gona be $298 to go through regency....

i had a ticking noise aswell awhile back turned out afew of my exhaust manifold studs were snapped and the gasket had split and was creating a ticking noise. Replaced studs and gasket all is good now.

read through the policy booklet im pretty sure i read in it ages ago that they can only void your insurance if the illegal mod contributed or caused the accident. I could be wrong havent read the policy book in ages but worth a look i guess.....

yeah my previous bodykit guy told me to go there (pheonix) to get it painted think hes mates wiv them pity my previous bodykit guy cant fit kits for shit i mite take the car down there anyway and have a chat to them bout the side skirts not fitting to well and see what they can do. M&C doyle was one of my other options i just wanted to talk to someone that has personaly dealt with them before. Seems alot of the drifters go there always see the sticker on their cars. Hey all planing on taking my car somewhere to get the kit fitted up and wana make sure its not going to get a flogging while im not around. I heard you can change the rev limit to say 3000 rpm through the hand controller of the power fc is this true? and if so could somebody tell me how you would go about doing this. Cheers iLEC

Hey all been trying to get a body kit fitted up over last few months been getn messed around quiet abit. Can some one please recomend me a workshop to fit up my kit the front and rear bars already fit pretty good but the side skirts are going to need a fair bit of work (maybe cut and reglassed). So i want to find a workshop thats going to spend the time on it that is needed to make it look the best it can. At the moment the kit is on the car it just needs to be fitted up better the taken of to be painted if anyone could suggest a workshop that they have personally dealt with and was pleased with the end result please let me know.
