Hi All Does anyone know where and how much I can get an ECU for please? I took my V35 to get the pinging resolved only to find it has an aftermarket IMPUL chip glued in place. The tuner can't get it out and the tune is a schocker apparently. Any ideas please? cheers Geoff

Where And What To Do With The V35 Exhuast?

mmm, I rang Pro Tech and told them my V35 was pinging so could they do anything about it? "Nope, just try ringing around" was the reply. STRIKE ONE! Then rang Autotek who did some work on my old 300ZX "I'll get one of the mechanics to ring back if that is okay?" That was 11am and no reply, STRIKE TWO!! So much for interest in earning my cash! Silverwater Automotive were the only ones interested who said they had worked on a V35 before. Cheers Geoff -

In my opinion there is only Mark from MRC Dyno at Castle Hill. He can't do the ECU which you need to get done at Silverwater Automotive but for any other mechanical work Mark is the one to go to. Cheers Geoff -

My mate has just returned from Japan where he was able to rent a GTR for around $700 per day. He said it was VERY nice GTR for rent in Japan He actually wanted to rent this one but they said "Go rent a GTR white boy!"

I noticed my V35 pings quite a lot. I had it tuned by a very trustworthy guy who worked on my Zed and pinging in a turbo engine is a real worry but not so much in an NA. Anyway he said the computer on the V35 has everything tied up so he can't adjust it. Has anyone else noticed excessive pinging? cheers Geoff

Hidee hoe Since I am fairly new here I thought I'd organise a night out 6th Jan 7pm for Putt Putt at Ermington http://www.puttputt.com.au/putt-putt-sydney#location $16 for two rounds but I think only time for one round of 18 Then across the road and up the hill to Carlingford for chinese food at 8:30. Any interest as I have to book? Cheers Geoff

I had an auto 300zx and changed it to 5sp and the difference was awesome! When I started looking at V35s I drove heaps of autos as I do lots of city driving but when I drove a 6spd I couldn't consider going auto again. 6sp forever!!! (ps..I know the new GTR is not a Skyline per say!!)

My auto headlight sensor seems a little too sensitive as the lights come on if I even drive through a shadow! Wouldn't normally worry but a friend on a recent cruise said it looked like I kept flashing him to the point of being annoying. Is this adjustable? cheers Geoff

After a fair bit of searching I found some nice wheels. Next time I need tyres I might have them powder coated gold/bronze, maybe The tyres are Marangoni which I've never heard of, probably shite but will see. 19 x8.5 on front and 19x9.5 rears with 275s on rear. Offst is +35 and should have been +25 to be the best fit, oh well Got em at Big O Tyres at Moorebank. Cheers Geoff

Worse than Sydney Shirley you're joking Stephen. Good advice though for sticking with 18s though. -

Well, I just had a set of RPO3s and they went out of shape very easily and had to be worked back into round. As far as I remember I never hit a pothole once, but the old Star Corps bounced off everything, no probs -
Bugger! I am in the same boat with only one key and as it's a 2005 model no BCM code to be found

I drove a V35 with the Kenstyle front bat and it was just bloody hopeless! It's not necessarily any lower but poking out so far it would last about 5 minutes before you rip it off on our crappy roads, sadly. Cheers Geoff -
Well after several years of very happy but expensive years of Z32 ownership I sold my black beast and bought a V35 It's a 2005 premium model with 6spd box. The clutch is stunningly difficult to get accustomed with, but I am trying. ...and of course it only came with one key and I have just read the post about $500 from Nissan Also, no FM radio frequency match to Aus for the time being. Only real bug bear is that when tried to fit my Enkei's there is a sixth gold "bolt" on the hub which I suppose is a locator for the Japanese stock wheels. Does anyone else have these and can they be removed? Cheers Geoff
