yeah thats right? runs kind of underneath the I/C pipping, wasnt to sure exactly what it was but yeah that sounds right. Got some Vacc pipe from Auto Barn the guy just gave it to me and said there was no point in charging out 10cm so that was good. boosts back to stock about 5-7 psi, so all should be good now
-
Bottom of solenoid conects to the T peice which connects the Intercooler and the wastegate where the top solenoid conects to the piping running under the I/c pipping which i belive is the C.Converter

Just went out and bought ourselfs a 50 inch samsung plasma Thanks mr rudd
-
cheers all sorted just gotta go down to bursons for some vacuum hose and its all good, thanks for all your help much appreciated ben
-
So top to the catalyc convertor( i think its called) bottom to the T which connects IC and wastegate sound right?
-
ok so the first picture is the current setup with the solenoid bypassed the second pic from what i can work out is how it should be with a vacuum house connecting the top of the solenoid to the middle T piece. Does that sound right.?
-
that is like hectic, im no mechanic i cant work that out a bunch of part numbers, thanks anyway i was kinda just hoping for this one goes here this one goes there kinda thing.
-

-

Hey all today i went to indy repairs in Moorabin to clear a EPA notice which was for Emmision Control systems and noise. I had no idea how many things it had to pass i have the list infront of me and there are 34 tests that must be completed here i was thinking it was just a dB test. I failed for 3.7 Variable Turbo Boost Control (needs to go back to standard) 5.4 Vacuum hose/switches (needs to go back to standard) The Stock Boost Solenoid has been bypassed and i have to idea where the hoses go. Can someone please post up some diagrams of what hose goes where, it would be much helpful. I bought the car with the solenoid already bypassed so i had no idea it wasn't Leagle. Cheers Ben

Funny i never knew driving a skyline was driving a illegal car, Didnt even know that have the FMIC where i had it was illegal, when the instuctions on the install tell you to cut a hole bellow the washer bottle you dont exactly think your doing anything illegal, I am a truck driver and i am on the road everyday i see cars all the time (it would be almost 100's) everyday that were a lot more dangerous on the roads than my slightly modified skyline. Anyways FMIC is off and SMIC is back on now ive just got to find a pannel beater to patch the hole up

As if a Defect is not enough from Pettet Today in the mail comes a EPA letter saying i have to get my exhust checked what a A**Hole is Petett If the Epa is so concerned for the enviroment which it is ment to be protecting it wouldnt send you out papper and make you drive 20kms to a tester, what a Rought So much for living in "the land of the Free" this shit just makes me so angry................... Althou Lucky i have a friend who works at the EPA who hopefully can do something about this and rip the letter in half *sit on that Pettet*
-
Yeah that was Pettet and his Sidekick in the Black SS unmarked, and it did happen around lunch time, it must of just been after i was defected. Yeah dang i didnt get any of the guys details i might have to call back and speak to another person there that deals with Defects, It was pretty clear what he told me about what i can do do bypass the V.A.S.S. Pretty good point to get the details of the person i spoke too, wish i did now because i know how crummy VicRoads are majority of the time. Lucky i have the Work Car for a week so i have time to fix it all up.
-
Well i was confused about deff needing a Vass, But i called Vicroads and a guy there told me that i can put it back to stock and get something in writing from the panel beater saying the hole has been covered up thus no longer needing a VASS which is what i thought.
-
Is it at all possible to bypass the VASS certificate, because it looks like the only way its going to get done is if i put the SMIC back in and take my car to a panel beaters to get the hole welded in and painted over the top Thus by passing the VASS? does anyone know if this is correct? Because from what i have been told a S1.5 with drivers airbag will no way get a VASS certificate because of air bag sensor so getting a VASS is really not an option for me Except on the infringment it says VASS certificate must be supplied to remove the defect, im so confused about the whole situation.

The number plate had been previously cut in one or 2 of the corners hardly even noticable, it was even like that when i bought the car so it must of passed the Roadworthy back then not sure that the laws have changed about having a tiny bit of number plate missing.
-
Yeah the defect happned on stud road rowville just outside stud park. Anyways i went into knox police station the other day to see if i could get it extended and the guy made a few phone calls and told me the only person who could extend it was Pettit himself, turns out pettit is on Holidays till the 3rd so from the 28th to the 3rd there is not a hell of a lot i can do about it, My skyline is a S1.5 with drivers airbag, not having much luck finding a engineer working though the chrismas break, a guy in eltham from Torque Torque apparently does alot of work with imports. but he isnt back till the 15th of Jan. Does anyone know of a Wreckers in the eastern suburbs where i can pick up a front Rio bar which i stupidly cut (now obviously have to replace. The up side of the Defect is that i dont have to get a RWC just the V.A.S.S cert. two back tires and a new front number plate. Thanks for the Help

Hey guys i just got home friday night from O.s in Japan, the Next day i was moving into my new house, i was driving along stud road with my g.f following behing in her car and suddenly a black SS cut her off to get behing me and a second later the red and blue flashing lights came on, i was strait away told to lift the hood( no breath test nothing) The police (Pettet of Knox station) told me i couldnt have my intercooler bleed valve pod etc etc. He gave me a minor defect and told me i have to get a enginearing certificate to certify the hole that the intercooler piping goes through and gave me 8 days to fix it (merry christmas) can someone please explain what i have to get done to certify this. I am hoping i dont need to put the stock cooler on and plug up the hole? Has this happned to anyone else and what did you have to do to fix it? thanks Ben
