  3. Why is it that a car that hasnt been drifted/thrashed ineligible to be imported under SEVS? Am I reading this wrong? I thought 180's are eligible under SEVS
  4. The guy has vertical doors? sorry - i have been trying to study for exams and my mind is just soo messed up!!
  5. i like the fact that you can view the guages etc from the inside of the car while your driving it do a search on youtube for the videos on it...looks alright to me
  6. jeez - glad u and your daughter are ok if the cops have his numberplates, then he will def be spoken to. I hope they feed his testicles to some pitbulls (on second thoughts, no i feel sorry for the pitbulls) glad you and ur lil girl are ok though
  7. actually, I find that my gts-t is wasted on the roads as well - the more i drive it the more I want to take it to the track for a bit of fun. Any skyline, I reckon is wasted on these roads - but thats my opinion. Edit - once i get a proper full time job, Im actually planning to save the r33 for the track and thinking of getting something like a little jazz or something for daily driving
  8. nice car is it an import or one thats already been delivered here through mitsu australia?
  9. hes gone silent it seems
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRov79AVTLE Love this video - 4 of the sweetest Japanese machines in a race
  11. thats no wagon - it looks like a freakin rocket!
  12. nah cos i filled it up when there was quarter tank of petrol....its just wierd - i will see how it goes when i fill it next time (if i get to fill it before my next service). I do know that skyline fuel gauges are notorious for being faulty.
  13. i have a question - I pumped up with v-power today (had a quarter tank of ultimate left). Came to about 33 ltrs - but then it only came to 3/4 tank full would there be something to do with expansion of the fuel or is it just that my guage is stuffed? Im guessing my gauge is stuffed.
  14. lol - i did the whole bucket and chamoise thing during the day, then got to talking to another customer who said that he was told off when the guy saw him use the bucket and sponge.... its a stupid rule i reckon that we have to use that stupid brush - wonder if there are any other car washes that allow the use of sponge and bucket
  15. i read that in vic, u can use high pressure water units - like those karcher ones - thats what I have been using - doesnt use as much as just a standard hose, as most of the dirt is washed away anyway. I sent an email to melbourne water, but the bastards havent replied yet. Probably planning for the 25 pools they are about to build....
  16. do a search for BATMBL as the username - or go to www.bosimporting.com.au He usually has group buys going so keep an eye out for them
  17. My current exhaust - Batmbl s/steel split dump/front + large Catco cat (from batmbl) + trust PE2 catback. Very quiet and car is more responsive. I got mine fitted at RE Customs in springvale (ordered the catback through them too). Total it came to about 1500 odd for the system. Talk to Ray - good bloke and very helpful when it comes to car related matters. He will give you a full price for fitting etc. If you need more info on my exhaust feel free to pm me
  18. nice video! But i wasnt happy to hear that it will be some power auto gear box or whatever the guy was talking about - it should be manual like all gtrs. Looked great though - and looks similar to the porsche shape
  19. ask him why is it back up in price? If he says the price tag on that is a mistake, then ask him why he didnt tell u the real price. I was talkng to a guy behind the counter at BP station who bought a s1 r3 from PRCS - said it cost him 12g. The cars are pretty cheap i heard, but I gotta question the quality. If you really like this car, get it inspected fully....then haggle ur hearts content if the inspection works out ok EDIT - I also heard that the prices sometimes are without the extra costs like orc for instance
  20. id call him an idiot
  21. Hmmm, that is strange, I got one myself - it went up to 8 mins when I went for an hour long drive (with not much stop/start). If its only 30 mins and you are doing 100 all the way, it depends how often you go slow or are stopped. Usually, when the revs are below 2000 the time count down (or it should count down). So if you are above 2000 for the majority of the way back (never stopping/slowing etc) then it maybe is possible to go to 5 mins.
  22. could you give us a run down on the mods? or if there is a link with the mods that you have done to it, could I have a look?
  23. get all the paper work and if they dont have any papers showing hte compression test, get one done - the only way you will know if the car is worth buying or not. But as one of the other members said, if its just looks you are after - keep shopping - cos there are cheaper r33's around
  24. alternator or startermotor? I know that if the alternator dies, the car just dies without warning - has happened to our old honda accord.
  25. more power without the pod filter? or is it without the panel filter?
