  1. Great day - great fun driving in the wet too my oil temp gauge is playing up - other than that the car went without any hassles. Thanks goes out to Adz for all the advice on driving in the rain as well as general info on the skyline. Also goes to Driver Dynamics for organising the day - cant wait for the one in March!! Oh and the 20 minute session in the M5 was bloody awesome!!!!
  2. nice car - very clean - congrats
  3. nah dont have a website but its from a local car shop - Car Bitz in Syndal, Vic I wont know how good they are until i try it when tracking the car (but so far the water and oil temp work fine - same with boost - but its the oil pressure that i keep my eye on all the time) they sell RDA's too now - similar price to the group buys
  4. thanx trent - they were only 70 each, and the guy installed it realy well - cant wait to see how they go on the track

  9. sweet! thanks guys - much appreciated. Cant wait for this weekend now!!
  10. yeah man, i just got pics of the tires - will be emailing htem to kev. The tires have been on since I purchased the car, which was in Feb13th 2006 - so they are probably due for change - but still have heaps of tread on them. Its a crap feeling when you have to push the car out of the pits to the front of the gates.....but at the same time i was glad that the engine didnt need a full rebuild However, I have been shit scared about taking the car to the track cos its been out of action for so long hehe
  11. Thanks for the reply man - yeah they are not bald, but there is more wear on the insides - got me worried when everyone is saying its best to get roadworthy tires..... Im still awaiting reply from Kev though - dont want a repeat performance of last time where there is oil all over the track
  12. will put up my setup when i get home tonight - I got Venom gauges: boost, water temp, oil temp and oil pressure
  13. that i believe is a nismo cluster - i could be wrong though
  14. Hey guys & gals - need some advice. Just got my car back from Revzone today - the guys did a mad job in fitting the guages, and fixing most of the faults (has to go back for abs and aircon work though). However, the mechanic - justin - said that my tyres are not good enough for track work. There is plenty of tread, but on the fronts, the inside of the tyres are wearing out. How much of a problem will it cause (considering that the track day is part of the Driver Dynamics training)? I heard that I cannot take it to the limit (which i wasnt planning on doing) and that if its raining it will probably be cause problems. The car is already moving towards the right side (very minimal though) when I tested it out at a car park earlier tonight. The first time i cancelled a track day like this was because there was problems with the car, the second time i cancelled it was because the workshop i took it to didnt do any work on it - hence car was a disaster waiting to happen. And I dont want to cancel this one cos Im dying to go to the track day (mind you, I have already paid a deposit for the march one - but thats ages away ) Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated cheers!

    Tuf-732 Is Back

nice good to see that it has been fixed - im still waiting for my car to be perfect too. in the last 4 months, i think i only drove it for a few days or something (6 weeks in a workshop with jack all work done to it, work in the city so i only drive it on the weekends and some week nights, and now its at revzone and actually has had work done to it )
  21. smart chap. The only thing that should matter is that YOU enjoy YOUR car. Similar to modena, i have stopped modifying my car - but will be taking my almost stock car to the track during driver training and what not to enjoy the power and speed of the car. My car has only got the exhaust, pod, guages and an upgraded sound system - was thinking of putting new rotors, but will just keep the current ones. The prices of pretty much everything is going up, so for people like myself and mr modena it will get harder to save the cash to get property and stuff. Much of my cash now is going into investing in stocks, saving for the property and saving for our business. And that in turn has kept me happy cos I have a reasonably quick car (quick enough for me anyway), and i have cash growing
  22. something like supercars.net?
  23. i like to drive without the driving lights on, and just hte normal lights - specially cos i changed the bulbs to a extreme white glowing ones...... car looks soo cool with that i miss my car
