  2. shit man....thats not good at all. Always had reservations about buying online unless The person has a lot of good trader ratings (eg, Batmbl - lots of people gave him a good rating, and hence was good enough to trust and he did follow through on his promise and products) good luck man - this has gone on too long...hopefully u get the money back.
  3. unless he wants to compare with this http://e46m3performance.com/
  4. e36 had 210kws at the fly didnt it? the e46 has 256kw. I would think the e36 would give the ls1 a run for its money. e46 will def beat the ls1, imo. The new m3 - please...dont even put it next to a commonwhore for its age though, the e36 was technologically advanced...so put that against the ls1 where there are lots of cornering, itd leave the commodore for dead. gotta luv that dash!
  5. how tall is that guy????? He looks like the japanese version of tony robbins!!!
  6. well guys...almost done - its the mazda 2 'genki'. Brought home the mazda 2 neo and mum loved it....dad was impressed too (but hes not as open about how he feels about the car). But then again, dad is a German car fan. so tis 21990 drive away, less trade in for our 85 accord and 82 civic (i cant be stuff prepping the cars for private sale & it will cost more to fix and get roadworthy). I figure might as well go for the top range genki, as it has more safety features. Plus I didnt know this, but honda jazz's are made in thailand and not japan. So thats a big no no in my books. But Mazdas are built in japan. So yep - in a month or so, there will be a new mazda next to the R33 in the garage
  7. yeah - I quite like the mazda 2 'genki' - its got 4 more airbags than the jazz and better brakes. I will be going in tommorrow to mulgrave mazda to talk to the guy again, see how the seats fold etc..... sis-in-law has a mazda 6, its fantastic....gonna be hard to convince dad though.....but i will have to see what happens tommorrow....
  8. trust me man...if ur not enjoying it now...whats the point of sticking around for the rest of it....i did 4 years of IT, hated every single moment of it - should have dropped it in second year...but like you I thought "cant afford to drop it now" - and i have a huge hecs debt

  12. man id get that stagea for myself! yeah the jazz is pretty good...luved the paddle shift! haha...was soo much fun to drive...wish my next high performance car has it.... Rabid - i wish man....the guy wants to get a 318 or a 320 sedan....if he did get the m5, id be questioning my own sanity....as well as his
  13. hahah..nah just imagining a 54 yr old woman and a 64 year old man racing each other in their sliding turboed gtirs!! lol actually...dad wants to get a BMW later down the track - when he retires that is....in about a year or 2
  14. eyah...mazda 3 is def a possibility...problem is if i go for something like that, itd have to be a used car (which i dont mind) but mum always wanted a new car....so yeah...my budget can only go as far as 22k or there abouts. JVP - yeah...i will be checking out the swift on the weekend....and hopefully see what they think of it....they only want a small car anyway cos dads gonna retire in 2 years and mums only working part time...so they want reliability, safety and low running costs....so yeah...see hwo it goes i suppose.
  15. hahahaa....... :laughing-smiley-014:
  16. hmmm...will have to go with the parents and check em out.... end of financial year so most dealerships ahve some specials going...
  17. the corolla would be a better choice than the yaris....main reason is because of the space. For a small car, compared to the jazz and the mazda 2 - the yaris i felt was a let down for the space. How much are new/demo corollas?
  18. the guy suing for 64 million or whatever for the misplaced drycleaning it is actually is a magistrate. Like any dry cleaner earns that much lol. Turns out that he even started to cry in court over the misplaced pants - the dry cleaners didnt fall for the tears though...
  19. viper ftw!!! But only the first generation vipers....the current ones dont tickle my fancy
  20. yeah...i actually had a look on the suzuki website. Might pay em a visit this weekend. Dont know if my parents would like the sports one - but for around 23k, it might be a good one to take for a spin. Also had a look at the yaris, but it was shocking though.....no space for anything.
  21. damn man...should have warned me about that
  22. Currently looking at either a honda jazz or a mazda 2 to buy for the parents as a present. They both like hondas - so they are pretty keen on the jazz. The good thing about the Jazz Vti is the CVT transmission and the vtec. CVT transmission comes with paddle shift as well (which is a lot of fun to use), and the vtec makes the car more responsive than the mazda 2. However, the Mazda 2 'genki', comes with 6 airbags (honda comes with 2). Both cars have ABS - and the mazda brakes are much better imo. Mazda also comes with steering controls for the stereo. I reckon the Jazz has a bit more space - so its got space to put the shopping when dad goes to the market, and there is enough space to transport my beagle around as well. And the cvt - just unreal - dont feel the gear changes or anything. Im tending to go towards the Jazz at the moment - but want to know what people think of those 2 cars. Oh, but one thing is for certain, it felt good to get back into the r33 after driving those 2 cars! Are there any other cars you guys/girls can recommend? The mazda is around 22k, and the jazz is 23.5k.
  23. good thing too...now to see if japan really can out perform the italians and the germans
  24. correct me if im wrong, but isnt the "gentleman's agreement" no longer in play now in japan (i.e the 206 kw limit) ? thats why the gtr is rumored to have in excess of 330kw
  25. isnt it strange how in a world of high petrol prices and depleted oil resouces, car manufacturers are still building big engines (i.e 6ltr v8s, 5ltr v10s and v12s etc)? but i suppose the supercar category is not going to be sufficient with a 1.8 ltr 4 cyl with 8 turbos or something....
