I don't really like the SUBARU that much, its DESIGN is not as good as the skyline, but perhaps the MAINTENANCE is the same for the both the SUBARU and skyline because there are lots of parts here. The THING is you are asking a skyline forum, so the answer will be biased. But WITH all MY experience to date, I would consider the cash that it takes to buy, run and maintain either of the cars. The REASON I'm saying this is because running either car will cost you heaps. Think about it carefully before you decide to buy either. EDIT: underlined more mistakes

good on you my friend, always good to help the lost dogs (though i wouldnt go near a rotteweiler or something that scary that is wandering around).....i got a beagle, and wont let anyone touch him. But he did escape ones via our back gate - thank heavens the people who found him owned a beagle themselves - and they knew where we lived. But yeah, ensure that the whole backyard is fenced off (which is what we have done now so spence cant escape), and have the dog chipped, walked etc.

Hi all, Just found out today that the Air con is not really working properly. Here is the history: Last year, after I bought the car, found out that it was not gassed. So took it back and got it gassed. Almost exactly a year later, the aircon is gone. Is it possible that re-gassing only lasts for a year? When i turn it on, it makes some sound as if the aircon is working, the engine idle is still the same or just a bit more, and the fan works harder. Im guessing that once its re-gassed it should last for a while. So maybe there is a problem with the aircon unit??? If possible, does anyone know of a place where I can take it for it to be checked out around the Mt Waverley/Glen Waverley area?

haha...well..yeah they are not the safest for people or if they got good cars. A friend of mine (who is a lawyer) worked at a springvale law firm for work experience. One night when he was leaving work, he noticed that there was someone going through his car - so he yells out...and the guy doesnt run, but just calmly gets up and walks away. My friend goes "did u take anything??????" - the guy replies "nope" and just keeps walking - all this happened when there was a police station just down the road. Now thats dodgey i tells ya

+1 and if its going to cost you heaps to fix - take it to an unsuspecting dealer, trade it in for something thats not going to cost u as much to maintain.... personally - wouldnt have bought that for 14 grand in the first place - 32 gtrs usually around the 20 grand figure if you want a decent one....

maybe try clayton? Blackburn/Nunawading is not bad - and u just take the eastern freeway to the city (no e-tag required). Id stay away from places like dandenong and springy (but thats just my opinion) - just in terms of general safety.

woudl be pretty fast im assuming.....if they are turbo charged.....

watch "tokyo drift" you will see why they limited the speed gts-ts can hit around 230 or so without the limiter on....so gtrs (i would assume) will do heaps more.... from what i know though, most cars dont hit those speeds even on the track (unless you were driving some monster which hits 0-200 in like 10 seconds) - again i could be wrong about this, but this is what i heard.... was talking to wayne at gtauto about this - he said it was not a hard thing to do, its just one wire that needs to be taken care of or something......but unless the car is going to be used for trackwork - probably no need to cut the limiter....

the american muscle seems to be going back to the 60's by the looks of things......and yeah....i checked out its wheels - on 22's and the rear was 335mm wide on each side (i think).....
