  1. Hi guys, i've done modding the engine (for now). It feels smooth. Now i'm looking for a firmer set of coilovers. Are the Tein coils any good? And also, are anti roll bars necessary? Thanks for your opinions!
  2. My worry abt the 4" exhaust was the compromise in mid range torque. So since it wudnt be affected (apart fr the noise level) then i might as well get it then instead of the Ganador Titanium. Then at least when i'm ready for more power i dun haf to change my exhaust again. Thanks!
  3. So say my target for now is 300 - 400 rwkw. If i change to to 4" piping, would it compromise my mid-range torque? The intlet of the ganador muffler is relatively small (which is currently same size as my nismo which looks to me something like 2.5"!!) when compared to other mufflers in its class. This is the reason why i wanted to change my nismo exhaust. If i were to choose this ganador muffler, it wud be for its straight flow shape n its lightness (as opposed to the nismo's "s-shaped" piping n heaviness. My question is, is it worth it? Thanks for your opinions again. very much appreciated.
  4. Hi guys, i'm in a dilemma here. I have 2 second hand exhaust system to choose from. First is a Ganador titanium wif 80mm piping and the other is a Trust TR Power Evolution wif 94mm piping. The difference is only AUD300 (Ganador being the more exp one). my current Nismo exhaust is 80mm but it has a big square restrictor kinda box. Current mods are not extensive- apexi air filter, fcon vpro, boost controller, tomei fuel pump. Gonna keep the rest stock for next 1-2 years. Which one should i choose? i'm just afraid the Trust one wud get me in some serious shit wif the cops. Your opinion are much appreciated.
  5. Hi guys my r34 gtr v-spec 2 oil and water temps were hitting ard the high 90 deg C under normal driving on a 30-40 deg C day. I read fr other posts that temps anywhere under 120deg C is ok. But to be on the safe side, i installed a HKS oil cooler recently. My oil temp is now ard 85deg C and if i push the car harder, it sits ard 92-95 deg C. Water temp sits ard 85-95 deg C. Some of my mates told me with the oil coolers, oil temp shud be ard 75-85 deg C. Is mine a little high? Oh ya, i'm using Q8 oil. Think is mobil or HKS. Thanks for your comments..
  6. 2 quick question: 1. Can the HKS FconV Pro work with the Mine's ecu? Or do i need to get a stock ecu to run with it? 2. And if i get the Power FC instead, do i also need to get a EIDS if i install a blow-off valve? Thanks!

  8. Hi guys, i own a Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec 2. Modifications include- HKS down pipe, Nismo de-cat exhaust system, Apexi power intake air filters, Mine's ecu, Blitz boost controller. I did a dyno test and the car is 425bhp (engine) and 315bhp (wheels). My target is to get as much as possible with stock intercooler, turbo, injectors and clutch. Hopefully around 450bhp (engine). Previously i was contemplating whether to change the Mines ecu to a Power FC or a FconV pro. But i think its too costly. My mechanic advised me to change my camshaft to HKS 264 cams and a fuel regulator (to increase the fuel supply). Maybe a SAFC to fine tune a little. Later perhaps changing my head gasket as well if i have cash to spare. He said this will give me around 450bhp. He said changing the the cams would also give me more torque (is this true?) Thanks for ure advice.
  9. So do i just "add-on" the powef FC (ie, work to together with the mine's ecu) or do i haf to get rid of the mine ecu first? Will i see much improvements with my current setting? Thanks!
  10. Hmm.. so using a SAFC with the Mines ECU is not an option? Assume i go with the Power FC, how much increase in performance am i looking at? I'm just wondering if its worth it, or shud i just spend the money on other more useful parts (since i already haf the mines ecu). I would like to keep the turbo n intercooler stock. Thanks for your advices guys.
  11. Hi guys, i own a Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec 2. Modifications include- HKS down pipe, Nismo de-cat exhaust system, Apexi power intake air filters, Mine's ecu, Blitz boost controller. My questions are: 1. I learnt (fr this forum) that Mine's ecu cannot be tuned, unless its sent back to japan. Under my current config, do i need to add a Apexi Power FC or HKS F Con V to fine tune the car? Is it worth the money? Or can i just use a Apexi SAFC as a much much cheaper alternative? Or shud just leave it alone and spend the money on other parts. 2. As for the Blitz boost controller, what is the recommended "gain", "ratio" and "boost level" should i be running on? Currently my gain is 5, ratio is 60 and boost limit is 1.25 (is this ok?). I don't really know wat setting to run on. And can someone teach me how to use the the scramble boost? I don't wish to change the turbo or intercooler. i want to keep these items stock. I will be extremely satisfied with 410-430bhp under very stable conditions. is it achievable? pls advise me. Thank you very very much.
