  1. I have G35 skyline wheels on mine. If you are looking for similar id go for the 350Z version of my wheel which have the centre of the spokes sunken in but with the same style and finish. I think those would look tops. Theyre also 18x8 so are a decent width and offset. Id love to get some form of Rays gram lights for my car but $$$$$$$ for little gain.
  2. Some more food for the thread:
  3. They are the same as R33 just bigger so they dont work either, unfortunately. RWD S2 turbo is a laurel/sylvia suspension setup.
  4. Unsure dude. SK says they fit S2 4wd. Not sure if the rear rotors are different between 4wd and 2wd, also this is only the front pair i have. I think laurel gear will fit my car.
  5. anyone wanna buy some s2 rs4 slotted rotors? :]
  6. hahah nice. It looks like 350Z brake rotors are 49ish as well. But 320 OD so thats a no no. 33GTST calipers would be nice, but my R33 rotors are now 6 mm too small for them hahaa.
  7. yep height is different by about 4-5mm.
  8. WARNING: DBA R33 rotors machined down 6mm do not fit S2 Stagea. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=172901
  9. Righto. Had a bit of a play around today. The R33 rotors will not fit at all without a 5mm spacer behind the rotor. Im not sure if this is dodgy or what. Also i believe the R33 rotor is wider at 30mm when the original rotor appears to be 28mm. So even with a spacer you would need the pads machined down to fit in the caliper. On the upside i managed to fit new brake pads no worries. S2 pads are the ones in the link below, which are db1398s: http://www.fujibrake.co.jp/pads/fblpad_e.php?fblno=AFP385S I managed to get a hold of KASHIYAMA [ D1231M ] and they are a perfect fit. $400 door stops, yay!! joe, id advise going genuine or getting a hold of some specific rotors from japan, i think there is anything available in nz or aus for our cars.
  10. possibly although the OD is the same. Calipers appear the same. Id hazard a guess and say they are the same
  11. Hey there. Ive hacked up an image of where it contacts. Its rubbing on the back side edge of the disc against the caliper support. I think the offset is different to the standard disc and i think the disc might be a bit wider as well so im having my doubts as to whether these are going to work at all. Im going to see if i can fit the new disc and new pads in the caliper tomorrow. If i can get that to work i think i will see if the disc sits in the centre of the caliper. If it does i will grind the caliper support a bit. If its not centred then i may look into getting spacers. If the new gear doesnt fit in the caliper then i think i will throw in the towel and have an expensive set of paper weights, im expecting this and after spending about $450 on discs and machining im pretty pissed off about it to be honest, only myself to blame for relying on the internet i guess. Moral of the story so far is dont trust internet forums to give you the correct parts fitments. Circled is the contact area.
  12. The car is an S2, so S2 calipers. DB1398 appear to be the fitment although i have a different brand of pad from japan. Heres some pics of the gear. The new disc fouls on the back side against the top outside edge of the caliper support. I think the recommendation should be removed from the brakes sticky but i dunno whether that will happen.
  13. As recommended by the brakes sticky i got some R33 rotors machined down 6mm for my S2 Turbo. I have found that these DO NOT fit. They sit too far back and rub against the caliper so do not buy them unless you feel like grinding the caliper away, which i am going to do over the weekend. I would recommend going with the genuine items from Nissan or upgrading the calipers. Have also found that DB1398 pads may fit S2 stageas as well. Will be investigating this option. If anyone has fitted R33 rotors to an S2 could you please let me know how you got on? Pretty peeved at the moment having spent about $450 for no gain as yet. Oh well thats the life of a stag.
  14. is it 0w-40? You could try a thicker oil, say 10w-40
  15. Also agree with the above. What are you going to get tuned? You can read the manual and setup the boost controller yourself. Kinda sounds like you might be starting to have coil issuses. Youll find out if it gets worse with more boost.
  16. Bear in mind that you have a GCG turbo, according to your sig and im running the good old ceramic wonder. :] The Z32 helps because it should produce a lower AFM voltage for a given airflow. Thus R&R will kick in later and be easier to tune around. Increasing the fuel pressure can have a similar effect because you can dial out more airflow to get around R&R. Emanage allows you to completely bypass R&R and other quirks in the factory ecu while still having the auto shift logic in place. Power FC wont work well because it doesnt talk to the Auto ecu. Another issue with the SITC is that it doesnt have enough resolution. To be suited to a neo stagea/skyline it needs a point at 4500-5000 rpm due to R&R cutting timing horribly. SITC only has points at 4000 and 5600 and at each of these points the timing is near normal. Below is a timing map from my car during R&R. Note the large hole at 4600rpm. I have the point at 4000rpm dialed up to +5 and 0 at 5600rpm. Any more timing at 5600 causes me detonation.
  17. I would vote Emanage ultimate so long as you have a tuner that can tune it. It allows for a lot of control. I have SAFC2 and SITC and have 186rwkw, exhaust, fmic, boost controller and a few other bits and bobs. The apexi combo is tricky to get tuned just right because you have to work around R&R. I would recommend an upgrade to fuel pump and/or a z32 AFM as well to aide in tuning.
  18. Hey guys. I need some replacement discs and pads for my S2 RWD turbo stag. Does anyone have any ideas on part numbers and sizes for these? I have heard they are different to the 4wd and non turbo brakes and the discs may possibly match to r32 turbo? Anyone have any info? Cheers!
  19. mine gets about 420 in the city and 500 on the open road, per tank. SAFC, SITC, FMIC, exhaust and near 12psi. Also S2 rwd auto. 300 means something is wrong...
  20. Got my car dynoed again after FMIC and a retune by myself, gained a few kws. Happy with the afrs and the overall result. Next on the list is an FPR and a turbo upgrade eventually.
  21. good idea about the movie. You may want to try a lower gap spark plug to see if that helps out.
  22. hence why no one goes to a dealer for repairs, let alone servicing.
  23. lookin good now joe!
