pretty much all the engine mods are custom lol. The silver tanks are intake plenums which sit above individual throttles. Random things like complete custom made loom and piping and etc.
That thing is so full of awesomes.
Heh, S1/S2 stageas without kits tend to look naff.
Add a kit and theyre nice just like the original.
That one looks like the base model anyway, no turbo etc
Currently i have:
Panasonic CQ7401 headunit
DLS reference MS6 fronts
Kicker S10L7 10" sub
a fusion fp1404 powering the fronts
and a pioneer GM-D510 M powering the sub.
Havent actually installed the DLS speakers yet as i just bought them.
Pics for interest.
Some focal 165A1s that i used to have and also some JBL power 6.5s
Didnt like the focals at all and the jbls were okay.
Another crash due to in-experience I dont think id ever get my missus driving my car in the wet without traction control. Even then id be worried as she hasnt handled a rwd car before.
Gas+corner+wet+liner = skids no two ways about it.
I dont know what the heck a 'VQ R34' turbo is. But an r34 turbo wouldnt be a worthwhile upgrade and a vg30 turbo definately isnt.
A better course of action would be a fuel computer, boost controller maybe a replacement turbo of some description and a good tune.
The aristo is by far the classier car. Its got a better engine too. Over here in NZ there a millions of turbo legnums and they arent really up there spec wise.
You could also try a nissan cima with a 4.1L V8 or a turbo leopard or a turbo gloria/cedric or even turbo laurel

I always thought 32-35 was a good pressure.
I got my 18's with nankang ns2's on them new. They seem okay but nothing to write home about.
Camber absolutely destroyed the rear ones in less than 6 months, im talking -3 deg, massive toe and the tyre worn right through the steel belt on the inside and new on the outside.
I now have Goodyear GSD3s on the front and for the same profile as the nankangs the goodyears are a much bigger tyre. They also look better and have loads of grip!
Cheapass nankang i guess.
235/40/18
The only downside ive had with my turbo RWD is that suspension parts are less well known. Other than thats its faster and lighter and costs about the same.
Yes if you want to drive them.
They will detonate with lower octane and higher boost.
Its funny that the guy is worried about 2L of low grade in a tank of premium. If the low grade is 91 octane and high is 98 then it works out at about 97.75% octane. Worry? i think not.
I did the same thing as that once. I changed the plugs, put contact cleaner on the coils and the car did the same as yours until i bought new coils. I think it may have been the contact cleaner shrinking the rubber boots or something.
Check the coils
They respond well to the usual mods, getting down to the 12s 1/4 range but they become prohibitively expensive once you get serious, mainly due to the tight space and v config.
We have millions of those here in NZ. As mentioned shy away from the tiptronic version.
As for performance.
Stock for stock a manual legnum/galant vr4 will beat any stagea apart from the rs260.
They weigh significantly less than a 4wd stag and are about the same weight as a RWD stag at 1530kg so handling is possibly in their favour too.
Im inclined to believe they have a better factory tune as well. The VR4 can get some decent performance, down to the high 12s 1/4 mile range but i believe the stagea could be modified further.
Reliability is firmly in nissan's favour although the manual versions of the vr4 arent that bad.
Good cars, but a bit too common in NZ
mine is RWD turbo factory. Handles a bit like a laurel you could say. Different suspension to skyline.
I suspect the 4wd would handle better but the RWD is a crapload lighter theyd be quite similar.
I have no traction problems at all in the dry but it can get a bit loose in the wet.
considerably cheaper here in NZ:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-50612037.htm
and i bought my rwd for $19k from a dealer last year and that was expensive.
You'll probably need an adapter flange and piping, possibly obtainable from the shop you got the BOV. BOVs like greddy type RS are pretty much direct fit.
That kitted white one is mint! I might buy one next if i dont get a GTR hah.
The vq25det is a mint engine it has over 400NM standard!
The only problem i see is they are very heavy.
