  1. Well i have splitfire SuperDI coils and they look exactly the same as stockers except theyre blue. Performance feels the same so i guess they are standard items...
  2. Its not a genuine 260rs though. It was converted from a 25X. Still a mint looking vehicle though. I havent seen a single bayside blue stag here in NZ yet. I showed a picture of one to the mrs the other day and she said if i find one, she wants it! Theres also a new model turbo stagea for sale there and a couple of 260's for sale. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...3407&key=404552 theres also this 400kw beasty - check near the end for new engine pics http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/showthread.php?t=47281
  3. Interesting ill have to check that. It is fine at low rpm and full boost, it just falls off up higher. Dont think its pipe leak as it will hold 0.8bar at low rpm... Thanks for the ideas.
  4. Howdy. Ive noticed lately that my S2 turbo seems to fall off boost at high RPM. It happens regardless of boost controller settings (profec b s2). It seems to lose about .1-.15 bar in the last 1500 rpm before redline. Just wondering if this is normal? Perhaps it is just whacky boost control or is it the turbo running out of huff? Boost is currently set at .8 bar if that means anything. Has anyone else noticed this?
  5. i dont think the exhaust would make 25 kw extra.. maybe 10. That S15 might make a 45 kw gain on a full mod setup, turbo, ecu and supporting mods.
  6. The wheels cost me $600 NZD - roughly 550-600 AUD - second hand from a mag shop here (they must have been left from someone who upgraded their G35.) Tyres were nankangs and cost 220NZD per piece. The lights appear to be factory. They have carbon fibre look surrounds. Maybe theyre part of the DayZ thing, im not sure. Oh and its some warning for females not to wear tight clothing due to excessive acceleration. heh. Heres some pics of one of the 260 RS's in NZ with r34 front. http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/showthread.php?t=48301
  7. Yeah yellow grew on me too hehe. All i know about the kit is that it came with the car from Japan and it has DayZ on it on the front and rear. Unfortunately i didnt get leather, wood or sunroofs. I have gunmetal plastic instead which i prefer, but id kill for leather and twin sunnies. Leather looks mint in stageas, well leather is just mint anyway!
  8. Cheers guys! For a plain ol rb25det i think RWD is the better option. I have too much traction in the rear as it is! The 4wd version is really just dead weight in my opinion as the rwd model is already 1540kg, the only advantage would be snow going and suspension parts availability as the RWD model appears to use laurel type sus. gear. Im not sure if the front suspension of the 4wd model will provide better handling but where the 4wd gains there i reckon i can catch up with a lower overall weight. As for GTR gear in a rwd stag, i would probably go for the easy route and do it to a 4wd model. There are a couple of RS260s over here one in particular pushing towards the 350-400kw range on a T04z Also met a guy that converted an RS4-S to an RB26 and run down to the low 11's >:] Once i get the safc2, fmic and exhaust i should be hitting the dyno to see what power it actually makes. Might be a while though heh.
  9. After a quick read it appears that jap cars are a lot cheaper in nz. I thought id share my stag with you guys. Got it for 19k NZD 10 months ago and that was above average price. Ive seen the same model for sale with only 70k on the clock for 12.5k.. granted it had a huge ugly wing on it Specs are: 1999 Stagea RS-V 120k kms RWD, not 4wd, some 100kg lighter. Auto RB25DET Dayz bodykit from jap land. Modifications currently: 18" Nissan G35 coupe wheels, 235 tyres Lowering springs - Laurel front, cefiro rear (a bit too low, but ya cant find springs for rwd stags it seems) Trust airinx filter. Greddy Type RS BOV Greddy ProfecB spec-2 boost control, runnin 0.75 bar. Sound gear: Panasonic CQ7401 headunit JBL power series 6.5" front comps Kicker k6.2 rear comps Kicker S10L7 10" sub, in custom ported box Pioneer GM-D510 D class monoblock Fusion FP-1404 4 channel bridged to 2 channel run front speakers I think thats all for the mo. Next on the list for me is FMIC, Apexi SAFC2 and maybe some more sound gear. Heres the pics anywho!
