  1. PRICE DROP TO $10,500 Apologies to anyone that was interested and wasn't able to view the car previously, it is now 100% ready for viewing/sale and RWC. Just put 4 new Continental contact sport tyres on it, plus 6 months fresh rego.
  2. Car is temporarily unavailable until 21st oct onwards. Getting a service + new tyres and RWC in the meantime. Thanks for current enquiries.
  3. Price drop to $11,200 - Need this car gone.
  4. Little bit of Interest so far but need to sell, so come on people - the car is probably one of the nicest s1 s14s in QLD and looks very very sweet on the road
  5. 1996 series 1 nissan 200sx. It is in excellent condition and drives wonderfully. Selling to help fund overseas trip. Features: - Original black paint which is quite rare - 17" Japanese lightweight alloys with Khumo Semi Slick tyres - RDA slotted brake rotors and sports brake pads front and rear - Genuine Cusco strut tower braces front and rear - Sports suspension set up for road use (firm without being overly firm - handles amazingly well) - Engine is 100% stock apart from: Upgraded stainless steel turbo water lines with earls fittings and upgraded Japanese made Koyo radiator (50% more flow than stock). Both of these were preventative modifications - Excedy HD clutch - HKS hi-power exhaust system - turbo back. (silencer included) - Series 2 200sx tail lights - Nismo front grill/Nismo leather Gear knob. Original gear knob and front grill included - Full Alarm system with central locking. The car drives and handles amazingly and is really a perfect road car for sporting use. It has full service history and original documentation. I've run it on Motul 300v Chrono competition oil and to date it has not used a drop over it's 5000km service intervals. The engine is very very tight. All other fluids used have been Motul. Car has been used as a daily driver for the past year and I have been fastidious about the way it is looked after, as was the previous owner. First 2 photos were taken upon delivery from previous owner last year, hence the VIC number plates. The only thing noteworthy about the car is that the gearbox whines a bit. It's not a grinding whine, just a smooth audible one. It did this when I got it, and it's never developed from there, but it's something that prospective buyers should be aware of. Besides the whine, the gearbox is very tight, synchros are perfect and the whole drivetrain itself feels great. Pics: Price is $12,000, Located on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. 6. This cefiro is practically excellent - Will lives very close to me and I've known this car for over 2 years. It's immaculant and very very well built. New owner will be lucky!
  7. Heres a link to the ad - thanks http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...02#entry3576102
  8. Hey all, time may have come to move into a new car - I built this laurel from a non turbo stocker. I put in the rb20det, manual box, clutch box, tailshaft etc etc. The conversion was done extremely well, and the rb20det was compression tested before it was put in. It registered 160+ on all cylinders. The car is very tight - I know because it's been my 2nd laurel. The underbody is very very clean with minimal dents in the rails, indicating it hasn't had a hard life previously. The doors all close nicely. The interior is quite nice for a car this cheap. Dash is very very clean and everything works. The paint is the major downfall of the car at the moment - It's basically pretty average. On the bonnet there is paint flaking and on the boot the paint has faded and the clear coat is coming off. Aside from that, the body only has a few miner shopping trolley dings which are negligible. Overall cosmetic appearance is pretty piggish - sure as hell isn't going to win any autosalon awards. Specs: Motor/drivetrain *1993 model with the late tail lights *rb20det from r32 front cut - high compression and ran on motul full synthetic 5w-40 oil since I've had it. Starts perfectly every time, doesn't use a drop of oil. I've changed the oil every 3000kms since putting the motor in. Dyno'd when tuned a few months ago in the mid 150kw at the wheels, on stock boost, with stock intercooler. This indicates the motor is very fresh. *5sp manual transmission from r32 - very very tight - possibly the nicest one I've ever felt. *heavy clutch - unsure of what kind *LSD - standard type although decent enough for sports driving/drifting *Nismo white round plastic gear knob *Speedo reads around 80,000kms *apexi pod filter bought new *stock intercooler, stock boost *custom mandrel bent 3 inch exhaust done by expensive exhaust shop running twin 2.5 angled tips at the end - quiet but sounds awesome. Suspension/footwork *Brand new k-sport coilovers - 36 way adjustable and height/stroke adjustable as well. In comparison to cusco coilovers in a friends 180sx, the Ksports hold their own very well. They're stiff but well damped and the car handles pretty amazing for such a basic setup. Not by any means uncomfortable or "floaty" *Ksport camber tops *Work 16x8 mesh front rims with cheapo low profiles, *standard s13 rear rims with worn bridgestone gIIIs Other Brand new JVC mp3 head unit installed just a few weeks ago Will include another 2 stock s13 rims - great drift rims Only pic I have at the moment sorry: I'll add more later. Basically the car is an excellent base. If you wanted to pretty it up, all it would need would be paint and another pair of mesh 16s for the rear. As it sits, it's very capable for drifting or fast driving. The conversion was very very clean and the motor looks as if it was there from factory. There are still a few little things to do, which would be the wiring for the windscreen wipers, and to connect the AC. The motor and gearbox in particular are extremely strong - for a stocker the motor is very very fast. Car will be sold with any remaining rego (expires 02/02) and without RWC - buyer can organize one if need be to transfer the rego. I don't have time and I can't be assed dealing with mechanics - which is the reason why I'm going to a brand new car. I'm willing to drive the laurel to anyone in QLD and drop it off there. I'm located on the sunshine coast, 40 mins north from Brisbane. $8000-ono Contact: 0411 147 357 or PM me here
  9. Sorry guys, sold within minutes of posting this ad!
  10. Awesome, thanks for the replys.... now if only I could know what the clip actually looks like.... Any takers? please?
  11. I swapped a rb20det into a previously rb25de series 1 powered laurel. I got it wired by nizpro in the goldcoast. For some reason now the tacho doesn't work and the windscreen wipers don't work either. It's odd because the window washer spray works when you pull the lever back. I don't really know where to start with either of them. Has anyone got any ideas? Gavin
  12. Embarrassingly enough, I can't remember what the hell holds the actual gear-stick itself into the manual rb20 box - I know I took something off when I took it out of the halfcut, but I can't remember what it looks like or what it does, and now the car is assembled but the gear-stick can be pulled up and out of the gearbox when in neutral... Can anyone help? Gavin
  13. I'll be honest with you - theres some scary lookin electronics in there - I'm not so super with this sort of stuff - I really wish I could just whip something up like that but I really have no experience with it... Thankyou for the link though - if it has to come to it, I'll get an auto electrician to come and do it for me!
  14. Hey all, I just swapped in an rb20det from an r32 skyline into my ex-rb25de c33 laurel. I had the car wired up by a workshop on the goldcoast who do this sort of thing all the time, and they tested the fuel and spark when I picked it up - all was working. I got home, put in the radiator, filled up fluids (clutch/GB/drained motor - refilled etc), drilled some holes for the standard Side mount intercooler (just using it for the moment while I iron out any kinks), fitted intercooler and then grounded places on the loom. I went to try and start the car, but the battery was a little flat and all I got was clicking relays - so then I hooked it up to another car and tryed to jump it - the motor was turning over and over nice and freely but was not firing. First in the troubleshooting list was fuel, so I removed the input line that goes from the filter to the fuel rail (correct one) and of course - no fuel. I then realised I didn't hear the factory pump prime when I turned the key to "on" during starting attempts, so I bust out the multimeter and measured the power line to the fuel pump (supposeably the white one with pink/purple stripe) while a friend switched car to "on" and even tried to start it. NO POWER to the fuel pump. Now i have to find out what has changed - first guess was a relay or fuse - so I checked all the fuses under dash and in bonnet. All were fine. Next I played around with some of the relays under bonnet and in dash - seemed to be working okay so far. I can't really tell which is for the fuel pump though - if anyone knows this can they let me know? The other thing I checked was if the green relays next to the computer where okay by swapping them with the ones out of my r32 halfcut. It seemed to make no difference. Using the multimeter to check the wires to the green relays, one of them was getting a really weak signal when cars ignition was on. So far thats about as far as I have got - pretty clueless where to go from here.... Can anyone give me a hand?
  15. It's old, tired and vibraty - I also like the revvy nature of rb20s
  16. Thanks Simon, this is hugely appreciated... Just to confirm, are you definetly sure that the non vvt rb25de loom will work with the rb20det? Thanks again
  17. Yeah I've gotten that from people actually... So I've decided to use both the standard brake booster and standard pwr steering res/pump but the real question is Am I able to use the rb25de loom with the rb20det motor and ecu?
  18. Hi, I have a c33 laurel with the rb25de auto in it. I purchased an r32 gts-t manual halfcut to put in it, mainly because I like the revy nature or rb20s and they're cheaper than rb25's. I've so far set up both the cut and the car in the same garage and Im about to perform some engine lifting and swapping. In this time, I've noticed the following things: 1. The rb20det ecu plugs straight into the rb25de loom 2. The power steering resivoire is Gold and small in the c33 rb25de laurel, and black and tall with a sensor on top on the 32 gtst rb20det halfcut. I suspect the sensor might be for hicas? - which the laurel DOESN"T have... 3. The Brake booster in the laurel is quite small, the one in the r32 gtst cut is a big bigger. So here are my questions, any help at all would be really ace: Q1. Will the rb20det ecu + rb20det motor work with the rb25de loom? Or will I need to take the loom out of the r32 halfcut and put it into the laurel. Q2. What's the deal with these resivoires? I can only assume that the tall black one with the sensor on it is for the HICAS on the r32, so I wont need it for my non hicas Laurel and can use the standard one. Am I correct? Q3. Looks like I would have to take the brake booster off via the cabin side of the firewall - I don't really want to, so assuming I'm using the standard c33 turbo brakes which it has, can I just leave the standard booster on? Would it be advantageous to put the bigger r32 one on? And lastly, Q4: As far as I know most people use an sr20det manual gearbox crossmember for the rb20 gearbox in the c33, but seeing how mine is an rb25 model, would this be any different? If so, what should I use? Anyone that takes the time to answer these - thanks very very much Gavin

  21. Hey all, I'm the ex owner of a sexy c33 laurel - really wish I didn't sell that car... Anyway, In regards to the rb20e motored auto a31 cefiro, what needs to be done in regards to an rb20det manual swap... Are the brakes the same as the stock rb20det cefiros, do the rb20det bolt straight in, is the gearbox the same as far as autos go and is it any harder to put a manual in because of the whole rb20e thing. How about the diff in the rb20e, is it a VLSD like the turbo models? Thanks, Any info would be really really good, I need it quickish Cheers boys Gavin
