PM sent regarding fans and shroud -
If we're talking April, I'd be available from 14th - 20th.

That's a shame.... who is keen to organise a meet and greet, social event anyway? Pretty much exactly the same as what would have happened with this, except this time not at a workshop? Perhaps we could occupy the public bbq area at either Mullaloo Scarborough beach?
-
I'm interested in coming along for the social side of things, however I won't need time on the hoist. I'm a 2/1 FIFO worker, so hopefully it falls on my weekend at home! The next Sunday I will be home is April 17

Welcome to the forum mate! I spent 5 years living in Karratha from about 2007, but these days it's changed so much I barely recognise the place whenever I go back. How long have you been with Rio? I'm out at West Angelas these days. Nick

Can you put me down for 2 as well please? One of each size Cheers

I wish this had been discussed a couple of months ago. I recently bought a Kakimoto Hyper Full Mega N1, supposedly 90mm throughout. Upon inspection when it arrived, it was stepped down going into the centre muffler, yet maintained the 90mm external dimensions. Fitted the exhaust anyway and even without dyno results, I can tell you that performance has been choked up. The turbos aren't spooling as quickly and I'm not nearly making as much power. Very disappointing

Thanks mate, that .jpeg doesn't load properly though?

Nick_GTR replied to Nick_GTR's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
All PM's replied to. Thanks for all the interest -
Up for sale is a cat back titanium exhaust to suit a BNR34 - $250 It's in pretty good condition, but it's crazy loud. So loud in fact I've just replaced it with a Kakimoto Full Mega because it's was starting to annoy my neighbours. Dimensions shown in photos. External pipe diameter 80.55mm, internal pipe diameter 77.77mm, tip size 107.49mm. There are absolutely no restrictions throughout. Standard BNR34 suspension in good condition - $150 Located in Perth, however I'm happy to ship at buyer's expense. Cheers, Nick 0406 677 386

R34 Gtr Non V-spec Rear Diff
Nick_GTR replied to Nick_GTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I figured as much.... -
Hi everyone, I'm chasing some clarification on the rear diff in a non V-Spec R34 GTR. I've read countless threads and spec sheets which refer to them as a "conventional mechanical diff". Are they supposed to be an LSD or open diff? My reason for asking is I had the back end of my GTR up on stands earlier in the week, and when I spun one wheel clockwise, the other spun anti-clockwise. To my knowledge, this would suggest it's on open diff? I could have sworn all GTR's are supposed to have a limited slip rear? I've found a few things wrong/not as advertised with my car lately and it's starting to piss me off.... Cheers

I'm guessing GTT?

Yellow Sticker....after A Good 6 Years Without Them
Nick_GTR replied to Flash89's topic in Western Australia
Exactly right Ben C34, needing a mod plate for a factory fitted strut brace is retarded. The guy at the workshop had absolutely no idea what he was doing... -
Yellow Sticker....after A Good 6 Years Without Them
Nick_GTR replied to Flash89's topic in Western Australia
Dude, that really sucks. I don't know what's going on with the cops at the moment, but they're being a serious pain in the arse! I've just been yellow stickered as well. Driving home from doing some groceries with my wife and 3 coppers decided they were bored enough to hassle me. In their opinion... - Car too low (bullshit, the lowest part of my car/undercarriage is 120mm) - Didn't like the "look" of my exhaust - Oil leaks, but couldn't actually point any out to me. Apparently all Jap cars leak. They didn't measure anything in regard to ride height, it was just a guess. Exhaust simply wasn't to their satisfaction. Oil leaks were an assumption. I took it on the chin and went on my way, sticker and all. Went to a local inspection workshop, paid the inspection fee, and they said there wasn't an issue with the 3 problems the coppers raised, but handed me a list of things they wanted fixed, and slapped a FRESH yellow sticker on it. They're telling me I need a mod plate for the factory fitted GTR front strut brace, my front window tint is too dark and my front number plate is on a funny angle. Are there ANY honest inspection stations in Perth? Why would I need a mod plate for a factory fitted strut brace? I took my car around to Tint-a-Car and they've said there's nothing wrong with my tint, and my front plate is dead straight. END RANT. -
I'm still relatively new to Perth, so don't have much in the way of good suggestions, but keen to be involved with whatever is planned
-
I guess that the frustrating part about going to the effort of organising something... I'm sure though considering it seems there are a few people interested in getting this back up and running, if a commitment is made, people will turn up

Next weekend (29th/30th) would be great if that suits anyone else?
