  1. This will be available for GTR2 soon
  2. The car is powered by the same 224kW 2.0 TFSI engine as used in last year’s class winning Golf GTi hatch entry and features a DSG gearbox with steering wheel mounted shift paddles. I agree i love the look of the car, should be good over the 24Hr period
  3. woops VW's new factory effort
  4. can't say i remember seeing it before ( as i worked for adtrans for the last 4 1/2 years) got the email from a holden dealer so i assumed it had only recently happened nope i worked down at their adrian brien dealership
  5. I have to admit it is funny seeing this happen to a company i have just stopped working for
  6. so you got the wheels on it now? it didn't have them the other day when i ambushed you at sprints
  7. well i now have even more respect for the Alzen boys who are competing at the Carrera cup round at the Monaco GP and the 24Hr on the same weekend. Flying between the 2 tracks would be a bitch little own being in the middle of a 24Hr race at the toughest track in the world.
  8. its not that bad we have coulthard to entertain us for a few more races, he's hit more people that Sato this year
  9. Prodrive? David was still really interested when i spoke with him a few months ago - the biggest issue was getting grid spots and last years McLaren chassis
  10. omg there is a show on channel 7 right now about "america's most hated show" they are fruit loops - scary to think there are people like that around
  11. had another talk to my mate, seems like Bob wants to eventually set up the drag strip but as your said andrew there will not be any top level comps. I personally still think the garden island is the way to go for future motorsport in SA and knowing how Bob can change his mind instantaneously i won't be holding my breath either
  12. hmmm ok then, i'll have to talk to my mate again and see what he has to say. I know Bob wants the whole track resurfaced in time for the AMRC round. As of last May Bob had planned to spend around 7Million between calder and AIR to get both of them up to scratch Steve this has been in the plans since May last year. I'm far from Bobs biggest supporter so i'm not defending him, i'm just going on the information i have been given. A good friend of mine was working with bob to set up a series and so i have been privy to the information regarding his tracks. However Bob being Bob screwed over my mate so now information isn't coming from the top dog
  13. sorry for digging up an old thread, (couldn't find the more recent one) but from what i have heard as of yesterday the front straight / drag strip has been resurfaced, with the rest of the track commencing soon (Bob wants it all ready for his series to run there mid June ) as well the old Calder timing boards are heading this was shortly
  14. they are the same people that do the regency inspections. they have all the tools to check tint, exhaust ect. sturt is just more convenient for southern people
  15. HK is lucky compared to Stephane Ortelli just a few hundred Km's east last weekend. Luckily he has come away with only a broken ankle! and they say F1's aren't safe. These things peel back as easily as the open wheelers and due to their larger underbody surface they seem to be more prone to getting airborn although on another forum there is a thread titled "Is F1's too safe?". and all the idiots inside crying that they are making the tracks safer ect - man there's some dickheads out there
  16. very nice james love the colour
  17. in a nazi dungeon with hookers????? oh sorry thats the other guy in charge
  18. unlucky nice car there adam
  19. we found on the 430 on track they came up to temperature pretty quickly. over the 20 lap races they didn't have any brake fade through out the races either. the car is now running steel brakes as the cost of replacing them every 2 rounds was getting insane
  20. there is a street version as well with the 3.8L only 300 being produced, 257Kw instead of 294Kw
  21. he's still allowed to be funny when he retires
  22. been playing the F1 2006 championship edition on PS3 - having troubles in the race when it starts to rain te team won't put on wet tires so i always end up loosing, anyone know how to get them to put on different tires?
  23. Bernies back at it again. Will this guy ever be happy with how things are
  24. yeah its a stroked VQ35
  25. Yes it will be at Richmond (most central location) unfortunately my new job doesn't start for a few weeks and i won't know my roster until then (I don't want to organize an event i have to miss out on) so sorry for the lack of information at the moment, but like the title of the thread this is to find if there was enough interest to set up a larger event
