    Lada Jump

that would be an interesting road trip with 40 people in the back of a LADA
  5. http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...5016118,00.html plans to expand to the full f1 track next year. This will also remove turn 8 out of the design
  6. it wouldn't be in the Biante Historic Masters, the car is to new to run. are there any other series that would allow a Group A car to run?
  7. couldn't see it mentioned anywhere in here but there will be Bugatti Veyron on display for 3 days. Its the same one that has been lapping the Adelaide track for 4 days as well as GT5 form any playstation fans going
  8. Nope, Garth left Garry Rodgers so he isn't in the best holden team
  9. Heres a picture of the Keonigsegg, theres more in the "superspotted" thread in the vic section including links to the spins and crash *pic from the Aussie Exotic forums*
  10. just look at the Carrera cup last year when a team owner was arrested and charged with assault after punching another driver who hit his car
  11. RIP Ashley. My condolences go out to his friends and family A very sad time yesterday morning down the paddocks Matt Kingsley has been cleared from critical care with no spinal or head injuries, he should be released from hospitals in the coming days
  12. Alan is one of the best drivers in the country if not one of the most diverse drivers in the world. He started racing against a well known driver who won the F1 world championship last year , this year alone he is driving Australian GT - Ferrari 430 GT3 FIA GT - Aston Martin DBR9 V8 Supercars 0Team vodaphone in enduro's Le Mans series - Ferrari 430 GT2 British GT - Ferrari 430 GT3 last year he did over 30 race meeting spanning some 12 countries, very busy guy No offense but your $10 won't go very far, the guy who owns the team owns the 599 that was in the extreme machine display. And they are known to spend more on a 7 round series than what the V8's spend in a year. Never met Krashos (driver of the 72 car), If it was simon in the White one i can confirm he is a nice guy. I spent most of my weekend down with the no 43 and 88 ferrari's
  13. Rip Ashley, Good news for the ute driver the 3rd one (name escapes me) will be released from hospital in a couple of days. No spinal injury woke up this morning fine but has no recollection of yesterday at all. never good when 5 drivers end up in hospital
  14. it actually did 4 laps after hitting the wall and came close to it on a few other occasions. The flames flared pu when they were pulling off the track at the end of the demonstration
  15. alan simonsen in the coopers car is the best driver in Australia, His 450Hp ferrari was nearly as fast as a 670Hp V8 Supercar. Which porsche did the guy drive?
  16. depends on the car to what is done to them.D'arcys Viper is cranking 650Hp over the 425Hp of the standard one yet the Aston has a street car engine it it. They majority of them may be "rich mofo's" but they are all great guys. I was down with Dave Stevens in the Brennan IT 430 and some 15yr olds were looking at his wheels and brakes, he asked them what they think and they said "yeh not bad but some rich wanker owns it" he didn't look to pleased.
  17. not the safest thing to have happen during an event, like you said lucky it wasn't at any high speed
  18. awesome i have to do a few 430challenge models up for some sponosrs (better than just giving them a picture for their support) and HLJ are out of stock. How long do these guys take to send out the models?
  19. the aston broke its rear lower control arm of the left hand side. It also suffered a fair bit of damage due to the idiots dragging the car out of the gravel, over the road and up onto the truck on 3 wheels. Not a very happy driver/owner in the paddock afterwards a new part was being fabricated but wasn't ready in time. well done to Alan for making it look like a race, he was playing with the lotus. The boys down in th ecoopers garage weren't the least but worried about the lil yellow thing
  20. see if it had the top gear wing it wouldn't have spun
  21. he may have had some suspension damage from contact with another car (at that corner) the lap before. I was about 150m away from turn 8 at the time and didn't find out about the accident until the Biante Masters were canceled due to the severity of the accident and the damage to the track barrier. We walked out to the formation area where people were running around madly then the cars were told to return to the paddock with no information as to why. Plenty of unhappy people having spent large sums of money to race only to have the race canceled.
  22. congrats luke, she looks nice hope to see it around on a cruise some time
  23. JB still rates this as the best car he has ever driven, which is saying a lot looking at his cars over the past few years.
  24. Keiths car from last year is no longer eligible to run in the series. The 360 Challenge is a good car of you have it sorted right finished 4th in last years event in front of some much higher rated drivers. Marc Eddy is happy that he upgraded it to the Gallardo though (3rd outright for the weekend) i had a quick look at the Gallardo's data collection software and hardware today. You can either plug the laptop into the car or you can remove the memory from the ECU and tale it over to the laptop (what eve is easiest). and here i was thinking Keith was just cruising trying to get used to his new car
  25. whateve takes your fancy Steve pity i've run out of V8 drivers, GT,s Carrera cup don't really have the grid girls
