  1. haha i just noticed i wrote my name wrong i'll post this up on the ford forums for you howie if thats ok
  2. well we all know how different the R35 is from the original prototype so hopefully this will change for the best
  3. from what i heard it was, I'll look into it
  4. its a 5 - 10K fine for the driver if the cross to them and they swear, which is absolute BS as they generally go to them after an accident ect. This is part of the reason why the engineers are always telling them to calm down when they get heated under the collar. looking forward to the Clipsall 500 going back to the full F1 track next year. Even though turn 8 supplied some great crashes it will be great to see all of the cars really stretch their legs down the longer straight.
  5. I'll take 2 a nice big single exhaust aswell
  6. haha got enough money cos i can make that happen
  7. wooohooo the clipsal 500 is going back to the full F1 track
  8. they are allowed to broadcast any teams transmissions, its part of the franchise agreement with VESA
  9. Skyline owners only oh sorry dan we'll let you know how it goes
  10. looks like you getting used to the camera, some nice pictures there Flick
  11. JB won't be driving for BJR!!! John said that he will only consider a enduro drive if he is competing full time in a series next year. Which has been shaken up by the Andrew Smith at Lamborghini who sold his car with telling anyone - to the point the new owner went to pick up the car and the mechanics were still getting it ready for sandown and thought Ross Lilley was having them on. if anything i could see him in FPR maybe, due to his ties with prodrive and FPV
  12. everyone was standing there like "W T F........." and the best news is they are only going to get faster with the new rules coming in next year. You also missed the V12 jag that arrived on Saturday morning that thing sounded awesome screaming up the straight That blue jag apparently cost them 700K...........
  13. i arrived in Melbourne Thursday night as i was planning on being there all weekend with Team Lamborghini before the dick head sold the car so i figured i had already book flights and accommodation i may as well be there all weekend. I ended up going and speaking to Dave and Des Wall on the friday afternoon, and i can honestly say they are one of the nicest and most genuine families in motorsport.
  14. I didn't think you were going so i didn't really look out for you. I was in the Garage with the Wall 996 RSR (top picture) for most of the weekend. I spent a fair bit of time in the coopers ferrari garage on the satuday and was up and down pit lane in all of the garages on the sunday what a hard life. I have to say even though its one of the oldest cars out there Teds CCC 360GT is the best sounding car. The Race was pretty boring with such few cars out on track, but when they insist on charging 7K entry fees they won't get cars there. I was sitting with a mate who has his own series (see sig) and he said "there are more people sitting in the grand stand with eligible cars than what is out on track". which is sad for the "premier GT race of the year" Washington did his best impression of a BBQ at turn 4 on lap 2! from what i heard afterward it was quite bad. He's missing eyebrows and eyelashes ect, so he was lucky to get away with minor injuries. Defiantly not good as they are trying to sell it It was really disappointing when Daves lower control arm broke on lap 7 as it put them well out of contention Did you see Riciadello's 1.08.83lap??? it was awesome some 3 seconds faster than the Supertaxis
  15. a seat would only be available in the enduros at BJR with Andrew and Cam McConville taking the 2 season seats
  16. Just a few pics sorry about the quality i have no photographic skills and a shitty camera (couldn't think of any more excuses)
  17. I'm sorry i missed it, got held up at the track and didn't get to leave until after 6 . Maybe next time
  18. Having spent a fair amount of my weekend in with Campbell Little and half the 888 crew at sandown i totally agree with you Troy, There are some absolute top blokes in there. And they showed they can engineer anything with Alan Simonsen and Tim Leahey winning the 3.5Hr race by 3 laps!! Some big upsets in the V8's for next year with sponsors changing teams at the last minute, Drivers contracted to the sponsorship changing team (and manufacturers in some circumstances) PCR will be starting the year with Lowndes car from this year, at this stage it will be another rookie for the team. I can't figure out why, but Paul pays the bills so he can put in who he likes. Troy you will be happy to know it looks like MRs Tander will be leaving Australian Motorsport to compete in the Asian F3 series next year. She had a successful test last week in Sepang. Ford has also stopped supplying BF chassis as they are starting the engineering of the Orion chassis and are hoping to have them out by the middle of next year. Heard a few more thing that i can't say other wise i'll be in deeeeep shit
  19. In the Sandown paddock on the weekend 2 Audi R8 1 Gallardo Superleggera 1 997 turbo 1 997 GT3 3 996 Turbo 1 993 GT2 1 599GTB some of these could have given half the field a run for their money around the track
  20. back from Melbourne (did ya miss me????) After watching the cars out on track and in the car park i have decided i want a Ferrari or Porsche or Aston Martin, I'm not to picky . I suppose it didn't help its 2 main rivals were out by lap 7. FYI Gallardo's make Great BBQ's. One of the biggest stories out of the weekend was the Aston Martin Team. It blew its ECU before going out on track. The team didn't have a spare one so they flew the Financial Manager of Prodrive out from the UK (first Class!!!) with an ECU in his suit case. He arrived in Melbourne at 10.30 Sunday morning. There was a Helicopter waiting on the Tarmac for him (didn't even go in the terminal) which flew him to the track so the part could be fitted by 12.30. Car was put back together in time to start from pit lane, unfortunately it still only had 10 cylinders The weekend ended up costing the owner over 75K!!!!! for 8th place Andrew you would have been EXTREMELY disappointed the only grid girls were only on the GRID!!!! how rude
  21. I don't know if i will make it there in time, i will see though. Would be nice to meet some VIC counterparts
  22. at work we remove the fuel pump, starter motor fuses from the FPV products after one was stolen....... of course it had nothing to do with the salesman leaving the keys in the car with the doors unlocked did it!!!! its quick and easy
  23. thought the same thing reading through the lists
  24. nah in a falcon ute
