When i was in melbourne a few months ago i was speaking to my friend about Calder Park. He said that Bob is planning a major overhaul of both Calder and AIR. He only knew a small amount about the AIR renovations, It will be getting digital signboards (ex calder displays), resurfacing of the whole track and some facility upgrades aswell. He has put a huge amount of money aside for both tracks, however i feel Calder will get the majority of the money knowing the plans they have for the Melbourne facilities. and the feeling i got from my friend (who is close to Bob) is that BJ wants to get the 2 tracks up and running to their full potential as both open track days and state level motorsports. At the moment Calder is open at least 1 day a week for free practice and bob wants to bring this sort of public access to AIR. I will dig for some more info and let you know what i hear.

Just a warning to anyone who needs to go into a Department of Energy, Transport and Infrastructure branch this and the next few weeks. There will be Long cues as the new system to bring us up wit the rest of the country are put in place. And naturally the government has done it the cheapest way (including lack of training for the staff) and there are MAJOR issues with the system. Today it took over 55minutes just to process the 2 transactions from work ( being trade i have my own counter that will process my work with out lining up) The entire time i was there only 6 - 7 people were served at the counters. There are also issues with registering any interstate vehicles at the moment and the transactions are not being done. If you need to renew your rego i suggest doing it online, over the phone, any Australian Post and Most Newsagents are now able to process them. Nothing to important just may save some people a lot of time in lining up and getting work done

There are 12+ EVO's crushed at the Mitsubishi factory here each year. if they crush them they are able to claim the full RRP of the car back on tax. Having some contacts here in Ralli-art i tried to score some seats or something off(ebay ) them but they have officials that check that everything is there as they go in the crusher

I total agree and said that to him. He has been going off second hand information as he has been overseas for the last few weeks. He also mentioned this due to their car not being judged correctly or something.

I spoke to a mate i work with today (he's been on holiday) who won 2 trophies for his Mirage at AutoSalon. One of his Trophies was taken after the presentations on the sunday. Unfortunately he has been told by someone that it was someone form the "SKYLINE CLUB" that took it. I defended everyone involved with the SAU displying knowing most of the people involved i no one here would do anything like that. He didn't specify SAU he just referred to it as the Skyline Club. AutoSalon are sending him a replacement trophy. I don't think it helped when i told him we won enough we didn't need anymore
