Howdy... I got this email from Film Australia, it sounds pretty lame, but TV is currently totally obsessed with reality shows, and there is no shortage of people who want to make themselves look like dills in front of the entire country, so if you fit the bill, then this could be right up your alley. PLEASE don't contact me about this, I have no involvement with it, and I have no information other than that which is provided below, I'm just the messenger here. All relevant contact information is provided at the bottom of the post. ~K ______________________________________________________________________________ To Whom It May Concern, We are currently producing a documentary series for SBS TV all about Growing Up Male in Australia. It explores the major life stages, rites of passage, turning points and transitions in boys and men's lives. We are very interested in finding a 'car mad' family to feature in our first episode. Ideally the family has a teenage son who is about to get his drivers licence or has just got his licence and owns his own car or uses Dad's car. Perhaps dad is a bit nervous about his son getting a licence and perhaps dad is giving his son driving lessons....the story will explore what the car sub-culture means to the boys and men and explores a kind of rite of passage, when the teenager gets his licence. We are hoping to film at the end of January or beginning of February. We would like to find families who are in Sydney or NSW - if possible. If there is a fantastic family who live interstate, we could consider travelling. We would like to film the family restoring or tending to their car, racing it or driving it. Going to car shows, rallies etc. Do you think you are able to put us in touch with some families to talk to initially, with the possibility of filming with them? Thank you for your time and consideration. Kind regards, Nicky Nicky Ruscoe Iris Pictures Film Australia 101 Eton Road Lindfield NSW 2070 ph: 02 9413 8700 fax: 02 9413 8780 mobile: 0418 626 981 [email protected] www.irispictures.com.au

Attribution Of Quotes Bug?

Kinda like that? ^ Maybe the person who made the post accidentally got the quotes mixed up while they were posting? -
Rebates are available, but if it doesn't rain, people/businesses would have to pay to have water carted (possibly from interstate) in order to fill the tanks. Melbourne Water are telling us SAVE WATER! SAVE WATER!.... but due to their lack of maintenance on ancient pipes, masses of water seeps into the ground every day due to "minor" cracks in water mains. (Eg: Boundary Rd last Friday) Some of these "minor" cracks flow so much water, that every few months random roads get split open and everything within 3 metres (including cars) gets dumped into the hole. We were stuck with no mains water last night due to some occurrence which residents will probably never be told about... While standing outside, large amounts of water could be heard gushing, but we couldn't flush the toilet or fill a glass with water.

If you read the ad, it says "R32 GT skyline (not hr33 GTS, sorry not avaliable on list)" That just means that they don't know how to use a drop down menu, not that they don't know what the car is.

The only parts you can wash with a bucket during stage 3 restrictions are windows and mirrors. Otherwise you'll need to use a commercial car wash. Source

I think it's fairly safe to say that the vehicle is an import.

Good work skypy... Thanks for finding that, it saved me a trip to the shed, and it's going to be about 48° out there under that tin roof at the moment. They will fit on OK, they will appear to be bleeding fine, but unless the bleeder is at the top, you'll never get any pedal pressure.

It sounds like you've spent more time in court than me Ash While you're out looking for Decemberween gifts, might I suggest that you consider buying him a hat of some sort? Underpants as headwear is SO last year. (and it doesn't really impress the ladies)

Major defect is when they get you for 3 or more things. If you want to find out what's defectable, go check out the legal info links in the sticky thread up the top of this section. if that's the case, why would there be such a term as "off duty"? Wouldn't that mean that they are "on duty" 24/7? How would they be able to "book you"? In order to do that, they would have to have access to the proper paperwork. I understand that they may be considered a more viable witness in certain situations, but when it comes to an off duty Police officer, don't you and I have exactly the same amount of power that they do?

Yeah.... I'd be a bit annoyed if I got a Brashs voucher. ....but it's meant to be the thought that counts isn't it? You could always try JB or Sanity. Autobarn and Bunnings are good vouchers to give/get too.

Well... motorbike Police might be able to, but regular Police are improperly dressed without their hats I just thought it might transfer across

Dave got a fine with his last (major) defect... i tried digging up the paperwork to see if the fine was as a result of the defect, or if it was in relation to a particular illegal modification, but I can't find it anywhere. I told him to fight it because he was booked by an officer on a motorbike, who removed his helmet while he gave the car a going over.... i was under the impression that once they removed their helmet, they were considered to be "out of uniform", but he decided it was easier to just shut up and pay up.

Patches. You all need lots and lots of patches.

"Use an unsafe vehicle which has been modified or does not comply with the regulations or standards for registration.... $177" seems to cover both?

Description: Vintage style NISSAN logo (red and blue, not that nasty silver thing) on a cloth patch Patch measures approx 6.5 x 5 cm Can be sewn on, or ironed on with hemming tape. They look like this: (my crappy close up photo skills don't do it much justice.. it looks all wobby) Cost: $5 each or 2 for $8 Price includes shipping to anywhere in Aus (I tried to get a price on these elsewhere, but couldn't find any, nearest thing I could find was a text only Nissan patch, at a cost of $5USD + shipping) Payment: Bank transfer seems to be the easiest for most people, can organise something else if this doesn't suit you.

What's Happening With The Wiki?
SKY031 replied to sigsputnik's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Nobody seems to be able to edit at the moment. There are also outstanding issues/questions in regards to image uploads etc Dunno about the tags, monkey removed them a while ago when the new colour coded tags came in, i think they just said "wiki admin" or similar, they were just like the tags, but in recognition of wiki admins ...but there's no point in people having recognition as wiki admins if nobody is able to edit. -
Are the calipers on the correct side? If you've got left and right mixed up, you can bleed them until the cows come home, and you'll never get any pedal pressure.
-
I suppose you could buy the leather one and rip the leather bit off and put the key loop directly onto the metal GTR tag The key loop would sit a little of centre, but you wouldn't have to carry around a large chunk of leather. ...also.... found this one while poking around on ebay (usa) by MTX-DESIGN

I've got this amongst the collection, but it sounds like the same one that Nissan has.
