  1. hmmm i can't see the wiki admin section either.... i had a few pm's back and forth with sigi about some issues i was experiencing in regards to a few things, (images going awol once uploaded etc) because he was the only person i could see who was actively working on things. I've got a few folders here with text files and images lined up ready to rock and roll, but I couldn't see the point in continuing to upload them while the bugs were eating stuff.
  2. The thread i "thought" i posted in was this one: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=142133 I think it was on the 7th, Eug's was the only reply in there at the time, I think I moved the thread from the general discussion area and then posted in it, or posted in it and then moved it.... either way, I was still sure I posted in it... sure enough that when I came back and my reply wasn't there I got confused, i searched my previous posts for it, went through the bin looking for it, and couldn't find it, so i just decided that i mustn't have posted in there after all.
  3. Any good with a calculator? In doing calculations, weight is specified in tonnes (1000kg = 1 tonne); capacity is specified in litres (1000ml = 1 litre); power is specified in kilowatts (kw) and is measured at the engine flywheel. The weight of a vehicle is the unladen mass specified by the manufacturer for the stock standard vehicle For example, a V8 vehicle weighs 1382kg with a power rating of 185kw. Therefore, the power to weight ratio is: 185/1382 x 1000 = 130kw per tonne. hope that helps
  4. I was pretty sure I made a post the other day, and when I went back to find it, it wasn't in the thread I posted it in (or thought I posted it in) Then I went through the list of my previous posts, and it still wasn't there, so either I didn't actually post it, or the forum really is eating stuff. I just had a sift through the rubbish, and the only recent post i can find belonging to hanyou which has been removed appears to be a whore post which was removed from a for sale thread on the 19th of October. are you sure it's not related to this issue you posted about a few days ago? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=141552
  5. If you're talking about the 4 threads you started in the for sale section, all the parts have been stuck into one thread, as per posting guidelines in the for sale section.
  6. it may be an RTA road, but do the RTA own the property where the tree was planted? If the tree was planted on council property, it's the councils repsonsibility.

  8. Flash is the devil. Turn it off, and your photos will come out a lot brighter. (tip to remember for next year) these photos are utter crap, but they were the only 2 pics I had which shows the clear difference between flash on and flash off. it works opposite to how you expect it to... flash turned on flash turned off
  9. You said yourself that it was a "random check"...... how did you suddenly become a victim? The majority of imports on the road have illegal modifications. If you don't like being pulled over, go buy a car which was sold locally. If you want to continue driving an import, expect to be pulled over, and learn to deal with it. I have pink and purple hair and a dozen piercings..... When I walk into a store, security are on me straight away. Do I care? Not really..... no point complaining about it. If you set yourself out from the crowd, you have to expect that you're going to be treated differently.
  10. yeah... earphones are a great idea while driving. NOT!
  11. a turbo. There's plenty of threads on how to get power gains from NA engines in the Naturally Aspirated Performance section.
  12. repost http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=140997
  13. You probably won't be saying that if your vehicle gets stolen and Police have images at hand to be able to cross reference with any other cars they pull over. Unless your car has stolen parts on it, there's no reason for you to worry.
  14. Me and Dave went out today to take a look... Stopped in and said hi to Ash, who seemed to be the only one holding the fort for the SAu guys & gals, there was nobody else around! The layout is pretty different this year, there's hardly any merchandise stands. The entire left side is "geek fest" with a plethora of pc's and gaming areas set up, and the dyno has been shifted to the back right corner (probably so it doesn't disturb the gamers) I wasn't really well enough to be out and about, so it was a much quicker visit than usual, but I still managed to get some pics. Spewin I wasn't able to take the tripod, because I started getting the shakes and half my pics are blurry. As a result, I've got no decent "upskirt" pics for you this year guys.... sorry! Pano of the SAu stand The DVS2 What not to do to your 33 RC R34 drift car on trailer Non Skylines I think this was a Honda or something? The Datto Scrolling LED messages on the wang? I gotst ta get me some of these! Fuel filler in tail light ...and on the trip home, I had to take a pic of this because it made me laugh.
  15. R33 Fuse box translation Don't blame me if it's not correct, I just tried a search and that's what came back.
  16. I've got a JAP version of Initial D for PSX, pretty old, but it's a good game. Outrun 2006 also has drift challenges in it (if you like drifting ferraris)
  17. Nobody forgot them, they weren't mentioned beause they were never made in wagon form.
  18. damn...... you should have asked a couple of months ago.... I just threw out some of my old security uniforms, you could have had access all areas and looked silly at the same time!
  19. By looking at it, it appears to be made of something similar to the decals used on plastic kit models. When they stick, they stick for life! How about a steamer? You know those little hand held steamer thingies? Like this one Only other thing I could suggest is to fold up a cloth (face washer or similar) so that it's a little bit bigger than the sticker, soak the cloth in boiling water (or as hot as you dare) and hold the cloth on the sticker for a while, possibly pouring more hot water over it at the same time, to try and keep it hot and as wet as possible. Good luck, keep us informed
  20. Seems like a bit of a coincidence that this came along at the same time as "Battle of the Tashes"? - you really need sound for this site.
  21. go down to your local fruit and veg shop, they normally have heaps hanging around, they won't have anything the right size, but it's nothing a pair of scissors and a bunch of tape won't fix.
  22. oooooh pretty! I managed to pick up a couple of old copies of the magazine "AUTOMOBILE" from Wheels of Time bookshop. I'm not sure of the origin of these magazine, prices listed are in Hong Kong dollars. No idea how they ended up in Melbourne, but they're mine now One of them (issue 215- 1/10/97) has a comparison guide, reviewing/comparing the Cerfiro, Opel Omega, Peugeot 406 & Camry. Can't read a word of it, but the pictures are pretty
  23. Many mag manufacturers have total control over their products, which means that some multi piece rims can't be disassembled by anyone other than the manufacturer. If this is the case with the brand mags that you have, the only option is to send them back to the manufacturer for repair/restoration work. However, unless the finish on the plating has somehow been compromised, they wouldn't need to be re-plated. There are heaps of places that specialise in mag wheel polishing/restoration, but after having a quick look, I couldn't find any local to you.
  24. if it's chrome, spirits shouldn't dull the finish, if you're scared of scratches, make sure you get any surface grit off first. If you have the slightest concern about using spirits near the rubber, then try autosol first if you can't find autosol (or don't want to spend money on something that might not work) go and raid the kitchen. vinegar and bicarb is a very user friendly (and enviro friendly) combination for any cleaning task!
