  1. eny? bargen? couldent? marrone? byers? I hope the car has been maintained better than the owners education. I certainly wouldn't be spending $8k on a car that I've never seen/heard/driven in the flesh..... "no engine problems" could mean that it has a myriad of problems, not related to the engine.

  4. The speed limit advisory group will review the guidelines governing the introduction of 40km/h and 50km/h zones, due to concerns which have been raised over frequent changes in speed zones. If you've got any input you want to share, go to the Arrive Alive website and leave some feedback.
  5. Best place to start looking is probably with the manufacturer of the original wheel.

    Selling A Car

So.... you want to sell the car, but still retain ownership of it? Your theory of "they're breaking the law as well" won't hold up in court, as the owner, the onus is on YOU to do the right thing. The paperwork is in your name, and you are the one who will be held responsible for anything that may happen. It is quite legal for a buyer to take ownership of a car without RWC, but it's not legal for you to sell it with plates if you don't supply rwc. There isn't much point in asking for advice on the right way to do things, if you're just going to make it up as you go along.

    Selling A Car

haha.... still doesn't work, does it? The new owner would report the plates as being stolen. I'd like to see someone try and get a refund on a set of stolen plates!

    Selling A Car

That isn't the way it works. Once the car is sold, it's legally the property of the person who has purchased it. You can't just sell a car and then decide 2 weeks later "oh, I want my stereo back now, I think I'll just go take it..i have a reciept for it, so it's mine and i can take it if i want" If you sell the car with plates and without roadworthy certificate, you are breaking the law. This has been explained in depth several times, and although you SAY you understand, it's quite apparent that you just don't get it. So........ if after 14 days the buyer hasn't shown you a roadworthy certificate, exactly how do you plan on getting the plates back?

    Selling A Car

From VicRoads: A person who sells a registered vehicle is required to: * provide the buyer with a RWC issued not more than 30 days before the date of sale * complete a vehicle registration transfer form with the buyer and keep a copy for their own records So if you aren't going to supply a roadworthy, take the plates off and drop the price. You will get a small refund from VicRoads when you return the plates. http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrne/vrne5n...A256FD300241BFB
  10. I see........ So how does the turbo "spin" when it's not under boost? The idea of having the motor idle is to keep oil/water running through the turbo to cool it down. Unless you're planning on doing trackwork, timers are mostly used for wank factor. I mean, think about it, if there was a real need for one, manufacturers would have taken that into consideration. The temperatures achieved with normal or even "spirited" street driving aren't dangerous enough to cause any damage to the turbo. (Unless you have cooling issues) ....but this isn't the case here, so back on topic There is a thread covering this topic in NA performance which can be found here Also be made aware that turbo timers are not legal in all states. 11. Looks like you'll have to find another method for your time travel.
  12. It's not a Nissan thing..... it's a "car" thing. How fuel gauges work B)

  14. Your car should be registered to your home address. This should be the same address which is on your licence. For the sake of not getting hassled for driving a vehicle over the allowable limit for vic p platers, it's probably best if you register it in NSW. Insurance may be cheaper in vic, but if you spend as much time in vic as you say, you should know what police are like here. If you get pulled over in vic, and the vehicle is registered to you with a victorian address, and your licence shows you live in nsw, you'll be in for a few headaches.
  15. Cutting compounds can compromise the stability of the clear coat.... end result? The whole car will need a new paint job. Stick with the wash and wax if you want to do it yourself.
  16. ...or dressed down? could be an RB20e *fear the power* Image taken from www.meggala.com
  17. Don't confuse deliberate acts of vandalism with people who don't know how to park. I'm sure that you'll find that most "keyings" are grudge related, and performed by people who are known to the victim...... whether the victim likes to admit it or not. ...this is about "random acts of crap driving"
  18. Well...... wasn't it? According to what you just said, he's pulled out into traffic without looking, which has resulted in his car being hit. If it was the fault of the other driver, it wouldn't matter what sort of insurance he has, the onus would be on the other driver.
  19. well....... It seems the monkey certainly gets around! .....and last but not least, this one is kinda cute...... it's a Funky Monkey hug! OK, that's it, it's all out of my system now.
  20. This is too easy.... Oz 31
  21. uh..... I'll assume that was a typo. A few months back I came out of the shops to see someone reverse into my car.....after it had just been sprayed... The culprit re-parked their car, got out to look at their car, then walked over to mine.... had a quick squizz, then started walking back to their car. I take it the plan was to drive off (this person had to borrow my pen when we exchanged details, so i can assure you they didn't return to their vehicle to write a note to leave on my car.) I had to stand there and argue with this person, that it was in fact them who caused the damage to my car. Even when I pointed out the lovely new addition of blue and white stripes along the side of their car, they still wanted to argue the point. Since then I have had 4 more people hit my car while it has been parked (one was possibly a trolley) I always park as far away from everyone else as I can (when possible), but this method DOES NOT WORK! If people see your car parked all by itself, they must be worried that it is going to get lonely, and even with 300 empty parking spaces around, you can put money on it that the people who have NFI will always park right next to you. Murphys law. Bottom line is, if you want to drive your car, it's going to get damaged. Even if you never stop to park, you'll still end up with stone chips on your bonnet, damaged rims from falling in pot holes, and bird shit on your windscreen. ...but yeah..... it certainly wouldn't hurt for people to start taking responsibility for their actions.
  22. I don't see an LMCT/LMVT number or ABN anywhere on that site... that in itself sets a few alarm bells ringing.
  23. The one's you're after are there, you just have to look in the right spot.
  24. From their website... I doubt they'd make an installation manual for it (unless you know someone who works for the company)
