  1. I'll 2nd that!
  2. Here's a thread that covers pretty much everything http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=15048
  3. oops... sorry about that, i started to edit my post and got sidetracked.... 20 minutes later i sorted it out. Silly distractions! OK, now that I know it's a 31, I'd also like to point you in the direction of the fuel pump. My car did a lot of strange things similar to what you're describing, it turned out to be the fuel pump. The problem was intermittent, and went on for over a year before it died properly. Have you noticed if the fuel pump noise has changed at all recently? 1/ check timing 2/ check fuel pump 3/ check cas 4/ check afm I'll also throw in a recommendation for you to check the distributor cap and rotor button.
  4. Is the car a 31 or a 32? "89 Skyline" could be either? If you're running the stock computer, then there isn't a whole lot that can be done as far as tuning goes. Check the timing. If you have anyone in your area who is willing to come over and swap parts from their car to see if it makes a difference, then that's a good place to begin.
  5. Laws vary from state to state. Seeing as you have no location listed in your profile, and most of us aren't psychic, we can't make a call on this. Try doing a search, or start a thread in your local state section.
  6. Check the timing.
  7. I had the same problem and it turned out to be the fuel pump (of all things) Have you run a diagnostic on the ecu?
  8. All replies have been removed. There was a specific (yet reasonable) request for people not to whore this thread..... you all know where the whore threads are.
  9. why is this in the 'classic skyline' section? PS, phat looking car.
  10. Link doesn't work for me?
  11. Some of the workshops in this thread may be able to help you. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=13305
  12. OK.. I just went and moved another 9 threads (i think it was 9) It took me almost 20 minutes to move them to their correct sections and notify the posters. People just don't know where to post.
  13. This is why I'm pleading for it to be changed. I can make it so the 'moved' things are't there, but that involves sending pm's to each poster, telling them where their thread has been moved to. That may not sound like such a task when there are only one or two threads that need moving, but when it's 15 or so at a time, it's a bit overwhelming.
  14. Or you could buy a set of trader plates
  15. I just moved about another 15 threads from GA.... ......so i came back to see if there was any response to my post from yesterday. :headspin:
  16. General automotive is an abortion. Plain and simple. It's just being bombarded with posts from people who don't know where to post things. I just went in there and filed everything on the first page into its own little section, and now it's an entire page of "moved" threads. (again) I'd like to make another suggestion... lose 'general automotive' altogether. If people want to post something that doesn't fit into one of the dozen or more existing forums, then it belongs in the wasteland.
  17. Stock seats from all R31's will bolt in no drama. The Aus spec GTS seats will fit. (If you can find any) I know of at least one aus R31 that has GTR seats in it, but there was a lot of modification made to the seat rails to get them to fit, and the passenger seat sits fairly high.
  18. Not after reading your review

    Earthquake!

Wow freaky! I've only ever felt mild tremors.... which have subsided before you even realise what happened. A quake would be scary!
  20. inark "open practice" is different to the other sessions and requires a driving suit. It's done on Wednesdays during the day 9am-4pm however, $165 is out of my price range.... if I had that sort of money to burn, i'd be burning it on an advanced driving course.
