  1. OK.. the car is booked in for next month... when they have finished "fixing" it, take someone along with you when you go to pick up the car, make sure you both give the car a really good going over before you drive the car out of there. (generally other people have a knack of spotting things that you may over look ) good luck with it.
  2. ....and again... a bunch of posts have been removed, this is a legit thread, please stop whoring it.
  3. Technically, if you leave your door unlocked, anyone can walk in without permission.... and if you assault them or hurt them in anyway, then YOU are the one at fault. If someone wanders into your house, you can ask them to leave, but until you have asked them to leave, theres absolutely nothing within the law that says they cant be there. The law is a very strange thing.
  4. I just got off the phone with acsplit, Ryan took his 31 Ti to Calder and I just got confirmation that he ran a 11.94 on street tyres! FWOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headspin: Congrats to Ryan and crew, and we'll be seeing you on FullBoost!
  5. A petrol station isn't "private property" due to the fact that there is public access. And as far as I know, Police can defect a vehicle anywhere, including in your driveway.
  6. originally posted by me here 25-05-2004 seems like we're still waiting
  7. shhhhhh! its a secret!
  8. July 31 is recognised internationally as 7th Skyline day. This year we'd like to make it a big event right across Australia. We at "R31 central" would like to send out an invitation to all owners of 31's to participate. (YES, even you Pintara owners!!) We've got a photoshoot at Nissan being organised in Victoria, and would like to encourage all the other states to follow suit with similar events. Even if you can't attend an event on this day, take your car somewhere pretty, and take a photo, send us your pictures, and we will add them to our "7th Skyline Day gallery", which will then be submitted to the gurus at R31 House in Japan. Please keep an eye on the upcoming events section in your state for more details if you would like to be involved, or feel free to contact us for more information. Victoria Queensland South Australia Western Australia A.C.T. Tasmania And if you're in N.T. and would like to get involved, we're more than happy for you to participate!
  9. haha who keeps dragging up these really old threads!
  10. OK just did a bit more research. (The things you can learn after midnight!) BP did do a short trial with ethanol in QLD in 2002. This little snippet has all the answers: As no BP fuel contains ethanol they do not need to state anything on the pump. Mobil and shell are the same. Shell has by choice decided to label their pumps anyway regardless of the fact their fuel contains no ethanol and they do not legally have to do it. [EDIT] All that aside, I wouldn't even think of touching OPTIMAX, my car is NA, and if i use optimax it pings... i cant imagine the sort of damage it could cause to a turbo car.
  11. From ESSO: Couldnt find anything on BP's website, but they have been known to use it in the past.
  12. ....don't forget these ones....
  13. They showed drags at the start of the segment.
  14. err........ you don't need a licence to drive at a drag strip.
  15. These pictures might answer the first part of your question. Nissan Japan manufactured the Skyline with this front...(as you put it without the series 3 healights/guards) the only differene is they didn't use the extra driving light like the local 31's have.
  16. Not to forget the australian series 1 & 2 skylines which had the striped tail lights.
  17. They always advertise these things in the hope that people will tune in to see them. I'll put money on it, that it wont be aired until Thursday or Friday night, as the last story. All of a sudden they will find other things that are actually "news worthy", and we'll get given the good old line of "due to our other stories, we don't have time to air this one tonight, but stay tuned in tomorrow and you'll see it then" Then they put it off for another 3 days **snore**
  18. .......and i should add to that, that it won't make the floor of your car fall out either.
  19. Real life isn't the same as "The Fast and The Furious"
  20. This thread is in regards to Japanese cars. The Bluebird with the L20 was built in Australia, not Japan.
  21. Ronin 09 if these parts are so hard to come by, i wont make my source public. You have a pm
  22. I love that Hello Kitty sub box! Do they make Kerropi ones?
  23. Stay away from the loan if possible..... if you have the 31, then keep it, drive it around until you have saved enough money to buy the car that you want (I don't understand the fascination with 33's, personally they don't appeal to me at all unless it's a GTR) If you get a loan for a car, then you have to find money to pay back the loan, and fix anything that goes wrong with the car in the meantime (as well as continuing to fork out for all the other usual car stuff) Once you start to add things up, it will get expensive. Keep the 31. Embrace the 31 Learn to love the 31
