    UHF Radio

If it's 50 channels, then its not a 'standard' UHF cb. Standard uhf cb has only 40 channels (48 if you include repeaters) The ones you guys are talking about (which retail so cheaply) are available at that price because they dont cover the standard citizens band. (476.425 - 477.400 meg) In english, this means that if you buy a 'cheap' cb, you will only be able to talk to the other tight asses that wouldnt pay the extra few bucks for a 'real' radio, because you will be in a whole seperate band. [EDIT] further to that, the one that funky posted the image of (from jaycar) is a standard UHF radio. Take into account that UHF is very directional, and 3-5k's is based on line of sight transmissions. If you can get 10 people interested in buying one, then the price drops from $79.95 each to $63.95 each, so its worth looking into.

    BOV's

well.... coming from someone who cant even spell "performance", you seem to be missing the point here. Nobody said they increase performance, that would just be silly. What R31Nismoid said was "running no BOV hinders performance". Meaning that if the air is being forced back through the turbo, then it is slowing the turbine down..... hence, hindering performance.

    BOV's

I think he's more concerned about the noise his car makes rather than the performance of the thing. Dead serious...... what are you laughing at? :slap:

  9. Those flyers look awesome.... but theres a punctuation issue, skyline's should be skylines not skyline's The word is used as a plural noun, so there shouldn't be an apostrophe. Maybe get rid of the 2004 bit as well, that way if there are any left over, they can be used again next year.
  10. throw some heavy duty tape in the boot as well, any electrical cords will need to be solidly taped down for safety reasons. [edit] I see the R31 guys failed to mention to you that my other half works at a sticker place..... i still have a sticker from last year here, and had you mentioned something earlier, we could have helped out. :slap:

  14. You can pick up a half decent digital camera for under $200 (probably less than what it would cost to hire one) Also, if you hire a camera, you would have to take it somewhere to get the images downloaded and put onto disk.... sounds like a lot of hassle. Fuji $198 Kodak $192.50 Olympus $198 JB hi-fi is a good place to go for cameras, if you pay cash you can always bargain them down a fair bit. Ted's cameras in Prahran hires digital cameras, but the prices are through the roof. The cheapest one is $150 deposit, with a weekend rate of $30, plus GST. If you want to check them out, click here

    MAS Info....

after we'd waited about half an hour in line, an attendant came up to us and said that we could purchase tickets from the vending machines. I guess if you don't know the machines are there, then you'd just wait in line. Only bonus to waiting in line, was that you got a free magazine [sarcasm]*hoorah*[/sarcasm] and a useless autosalon card. this year i'll be using the vending machine to bypass the ticket line.

You can catch plane, bus, train to Melbourne. From there, you need to get to the melbourne exhibition and convention centre. (not far from Spencer St station) Go here for maps You can buy tickets on the day you attend, at the ticket box, or you can bypass the ticket box and buy tickets at machines along the walls of the centre.
