  1. Here is mine, and RB26 powered too. My JZX81 Mark2, with Chaser front end. And of course, an RB26...
  2. As per title really. We got a RB26 to go in a R33GTR here, and its been bench dyno'd running Pectel T6 2000 managment and its now in the car, but not running as yet due to a few mods being done. But what (if any) effects will not running the standard ECU and engine loom have on the 4wd system? I thought it was a totally seperate entity with the ATTESSA ECU doing it all, so no effects when binning the standard ECU, but some say otherwise. So whats the truth? And if there are changes, what mods needs to be done to make it work ok? Cheers. Stav
  3. Wink- yes, all the LED rear lights, even the genuine Wise Sports ones like on the above 33 and my 32, come in that ghey crome finish, but they are made so thats all totally covered up when you refit the rear light covers, so its not an issue anyhow. Thank god, as chrome, plastic or real, is just, well, shit
  4. Hi. Chances are most of you will have never of heard of the mag as its UK based, but I work for Redline Magazine and between our staff we have a whole load of fast cars, inc 3 (sometimes 4 actually) Skyline GTRs, as well as a Pulsar GTIR, S13 180SX drift car, Cosworth Turbo Powered E36 BMW, a 600bhp+ Cosworth, and lots more. Our R33GTR has just had another bigtime makeover and as the issue of Redline with it in is out today in the UK I thought id post a few pics... No enginebay pic as yet as its not that pretty yet and is away at mo being made super shiney... More pics of another Redline Skyline, my mental RB30 R32GTR, soon too... Cheers. Stav.
  5. SteveL- No, as they doing it all for free There was a reason, but it was when they thought the shim was above the buckets, soon as realised the cam dont operate directly onto the shim it didnt matter. Dont think it was drag, cant remember the exact reason, but either way its irrelivant when the shim is below the buckets. Cheers for the measurments, just happened i got them off another source this morining actually anyhow, but thanks all the same
  6. That supercharger on GTR pic is totally fake, no way a setup like that will work. You dont need any kind of switchover point etc either, the transition point would be horrendous and a bit pointless TBH. Easiest and best way is for the turbo to blow through a rootes style charger at all times. Theres a lot more to it than that, but thats the basics of a good working system.
  7. As per title really. Im not a fan of them, and fair enough they big old truck turbos but they mega strong it seems. Ive never heard of one breaking, has anyone killed one? Mustve surely? And what went? Snapped shafts and destroyed/melted turbine wheels id be particularly interested in. And why it happened. Also, has anyone seen how thick the shafts are on these compared to similar sized Garrett turbos etc? GT series turbos seem to have skinny shafts, but what about T series etc. Cheers
  8. Basicly a cam manufacturer (im in the UK) are planning to re-grind my cams to a different spec, and rather than just use bigger shims as they thought would cause too much mechanical drag (or something!) they wanted to add something to the bottom of the buckets as well. Must admit im not 100% what he meant as i was trying to hear him in a busy office. If this dont make sence to anyone i may need to ring him back and get a more detailed explanation!
  9. Hi. As per title really, does anyone know the diameter of the valve shims and valve stems? Also does anyone know how far the valve stem protrudes above the collars? Any help appreciated as ive no idea. Cheers Stav.
