These are currently fitted to the doors in my EB, and as they’re behind the door trims, they will not be supplied with speaker grills. As long as you’re putting them behind standard grills in the doors, that shouldn’t matter. Model number TSA-1681S Currently still in car, so test and listen more than welcome! Sound good, excellent working condition. $80 No pictures available, as they’re installed behind the standard grills in my car. For more info please follow the link below to the Pioneer website: http://www.pioneer.com.au/products/car_ent...681S/index.html I also have another Alpine CD player head unit available. It’s about 4-5 years old, and looks very similar to the other Alpine one pictured above, except it has buttons for the volume instead of the knob. The buttons seem to be sticky for the volume buttons, and don’t work most of the time. Backlight is blown too. Not sure if these things are easy enough to fix or not, but after $30. Can get pics if requested. I also have a factory 95 Corolla factory head unit. Single din, great for plugging a hole! - $10 Pickup welcome from either Cheltenham or Reservoir, alternatively I’m happy to post at they buyer’s expense. Please post or PM for any queries. Thanks, Justin.
  3. Thanks all. Have now got a complete setup. Thanks, Justin.
  4. Good honest seller! Hooked me up with a GTR BOV setup, complete with pipes etc for less than others were asking for a single BOV - plus they are immaculate to boot!

    Thanks mate.

  5. Hi All, Just after a pair of standard GTR twin BOV's please, preferably on the standard pipe as well. Would prefer to pick up in VIC, but if you're elsewhere let me know if you've got them, and how much. Thanks, Justin.
  6. Hi All, Just after a pair of standard GTR twin BOV's please. Would prefer to pick up in VIC, but if you're elsewhere let me know if you've got them, and how much. Thanks, Justin.
  7. Hi All, Have the following items for sale left over from previous vehicles. I would prefer pick up, however we can talk about postage. Momo steering wheel, all black 300mm. Nice and small, sits nicely in your hand and looks awesome! Has Momo horn button, no boss. As I have the Momo horn button already it means you can buy a cheaper Autotechnica boss kit and use the Momo horn button I supply, rather than having to spend twice the amount on the Momo boss kit, just to get the Momo button. Near new condition, has only had about a months use. Both my cars are airbag equipped so no longer need this. $250 ono Kenwood 220w 6x9's. Model number KFC6908. VGC work perfectly and sound great, also come with those black plastic spacer boxes so you don't have to cut holes. Grilles have a bit of blu tack on them, but this will wash off! $100 ono Kicker Impulse IX404 4 Channel Amp. $250 ono. Works perfectly and in great condition except some scratches on the front. Only selling due to upgrade. Key Features: Amplifier Type Multi Channels Bridgable Bridgable RMS Power at 4 Ohms 40 W x 4 RMS Power at 2 Ohms 60 W x 4 Performance Frequency Response 20 Hz - 20000 Hz Signal to Noise Ratio 95 dB THD at Rated RMS Power .09 % Crossover / Equalizer Bass Boost With Bass Boost Bass Boost Frequency 40 Hz Low - Pass Frequency 70 Hz - 110 Hz High - Pass Frequency 70 Hz - 110 Hz Other Features Input Voltage 12.5 volt MOSFET Circuitry Yes 3 Way Ready Yes Dimensions Width 9.5 in. Depth 11.4 in. Height 2.5 in. Miscellaneous More Information It offers two circuits each for bass and treble adjustments to get your front and rear speakers sounding the way you want. Two active crossovers let you direct frequencies for maximum effect. Select from 2-, 3-, 4-channel, or Tri-Way output, depending on your wiring needs. Buffered RCA outputs let you link multiple amps without using splitters. And last of all, a muffler! No, not a performance design, just a standard run of the mill muffler. It is brand new, well sort of. I got defected for car being too loud so had this put on to pass EPA test. Drove home and removed it. Barrell shaped and would suit the rear of the vehicle. 2 inch tip. I can get pics if required. I am after $80 ono for this. Pics below! Sorry about all the crappy pics, best I can do unfortunately. Happy for you to inspect though. Any questions just let me know on here, or call 0418 597 239.
  8. Well, you guys have just saved me some heart ache! Was VERY seriously considering going through Prestige shortly - well that's now out! Thanks all!
  9. Thanks flyying. As you say, I will be looking for the most standard example possible. Having said that though, it's almost impossible to find a standard one, they all seem to have an exhaust, pod filters, etc as a minimum. If I do go the import route, I think I will be getting the cheapest one out there, expect the worse and at least what I've saved can go towards a rebuild. In doing that though, no matter what is fixed the car will never be as nice as an example that's been properly looked after...
  10. Hey all, thank you so much for all the advice so far, it is very much appreciated! I'm going to keep reading up and have a look at a few local examples and then chat with a few importers before I make a decision. I've just picked up a new daily driver today, and am in absolutely no rush to get a GTR until I'm positive about what I'm getting in to! I don't think my kids will appreciate being told they can't eat today coz daddy just bought a dodgy one that becomes a money pit and has to rebuild an engine, gearbox etc!!!! Really, they're just being selfish though!
  11. Thanks all! Ben M, you're right, it's either going to be a very clean 93 or 94 or nothing. I'm currently looking into importing, but I'm just not convinced at this stage whether the risk is worth the saving. From what I've been reading around here, fuel consumption isn't too bad considering the performance on offer, insurance is quite reasonable (I've already had quotes), and general maintenance shouldn't be too bad. The only thing that's really scaring me is the money pit side of things that N1GTR has experienced!
  12. Hi All, I've been thinking very seriously lately of getting myself a late model R32 GTR (93-94 only). Now, so I don't rush into any decisions I've gone and bought myself a cheap car to get around in till I import what I really want! This is my dream car and I will be driving it every chance I get, including to work. The initial outlay is not really my concern, it's more some of the horror stories I keep hearing about $6000 engine blow ups etc. While I will be looking for the cleanest example possible, I'm just worried about things that could go wrong, and something like an engine rebuild that's gonna be 6k is not something I can really afford! I expect any car of this age to have problems, but are stories such as these exaggerations or the harsh reality? I think I've already basically answered my own question unfortunately, but I'd really apreciate any advice that you past or present GTR owners can provide!! Thanks, Justin.
  13. Isn't i t illegal to install an older model motor to a car?
  14. Hi All, Have a 1989 R31 Series 3 Executive sedan for sale. Auto Powersteering Airconditioning (needs regassing) New tyres New suspension (standard) 187000 kilometres Rego until this Wednesday 7/6/06! White exterior with blue interior. Body and paint are in ok condition, does have some dents and scrapes. Passenger door lock is also damaged due to an attempted break in. Interior is in good condition and would come up well with a steam clean. Car is very reliable only mechanical problem is that 2nd gear slips in the auto if you're giving full throttle, however under normal driving it does not slip. The gearbox has been doing this for over a year now, and still shows no sign of giving up! Price is $500 as is If you want it with 1 full year of reg, add $600 to the price ($1100 in total) The car was only roadworthied about a year and a half ago, so I don't think it would need much/anything for RWC. Located in Cheltenham VIC. Please post or phone 0418 597 239 if you are interested and have any queries. Thanks, Justin.
  15. Is it an R32 or R33 spec GTR motor? GTR Brake upgrade, is that front and rear, or just front? Does it have ABS? Any interior pics?
  16. Thanks blacky, interesting about the aftermarket 5spd! I would prefer a factory manual, so that's something to think about!
