  1. Hey guys,

I am having a "I really want a Toyota Celsior" moment, but also wouldn't mind sliding back into a Cressy either.

I have a 1989 Nissan R31 Ti Skyline with an RB25DET and 25DET manual box, build threads are somewhere hanging around.

    Features on the dirty 1:

RB25DET, high-mount china turbo rebuilt by CGC to GT35 specs (have receipts)

    Turbosmart 44mm external gate

One month old full 3in exhaust system, over diff, new muffler, quiet as. Screamer pipe with a section that can be plumbed in/taken out.

Intercooler mounted up high with the radiator - cannot see this from the front. Full stealth mode.

    Apexi Power FC

GReddy electronic boost controller; 15psi hi, 12psi lo, 10psi off

Have dyno-read outs. 270rwkW on 15psi. The latest one (a week before I had bought it) was in the afternoon at a dyno-day with the workshop admitting their dyno reads low and made 253rwkW on 15psi.

Will be getting it tuned again very soon by Uni Group Engineering.

    Emotion coilovers all round - 12kg F/10kg R

HR31 (import) brakes and hubs up front

Minispool with 4.11:1 final drive ratio

Ti Skyline stockies with new Kumho tyres all round

Standard interior with full electrics, minus an aftermarket steering wheel. CD player and two subs in boot.

Heaps of other things. Car is fantastic to drive. Exterior has a couple faults - I had a drift incident a while ago, so the bonnet is slightly dented and the grill cracked. I have a new grill. I am waiting for my guitar to sell, and am getting the entire car resprayed. This can be done before a trade, or without. Either way.

I run the car on 12psi all day every day. I have done two drift events in it, and was fantastic all day every day. Except when a cooler pipe blew, but oh well. That was fixed, obviously.

I have a lot of pics, so PM me if you are interested. Is a tidy car overall, and will suit someone who wants to go sideways at a million Ks an hour. I drive the car every day.

Registered until September this year. Is NOT engineered in NSW, but it is in QLD. I am keen to drive up for the right car.

    FOR OUTRIGHT SALE: Chasing 6500ono!

Please note that a deal for the SSRs to come with the car will have to be made as they are not mine. They are for sale seperately for $700, but for 6.8 you can have them and I'll pass the 700 to the rightful owner.

Wheels that will come with the car are the Ti stockies with near new Kumho tyres, plus 16x10 +25 and 16x8 +/-0 wedge-style steelies.

Contact me on either [email protected] or 0401 198 992.

    Cheers!

  2. Hey guys,

Am deciding a different route for my car, so engine and ECU are up for the cash money babies (do not offer me a child, please).S1 RB25DET, GT-R injectors, all manifolds and loom.

Turbo is a Chinese spec snail that was rebuilt by CGC Turbochargers in Sydney to GT35 spec on a custom manifold (have receipts for work). Turbosmart 44mm ext wastegate and dump could also be incl. Dyno-proven 250rwkW on 15psi and also a dyno-proven 270rwkW on 15psi on a chilly morning. Have printouts.

Engine has been in my current R31 for near five years, I am the third owner of it since the 25 conversion. Everything is all sweet, can come view and hear it running/comp test etc.$1800ono but can knock off price less turbo setup.

Apexi Power FC with hand controller. Basically can only run a 25. We all know what these do. $1400ono.

Can do a package deal, $2,700ono.

This would be the cheapest way to get a reliable 250 kilawasps, drop it in and then do heaps of hellis.Text or call me on 0401 198 992 for pics or more info!

    Shit photo but oh well.

  3. Hey guys,

Got my Nissan R31 Skyline up for sale.

Its a 1987 (series 1) Ti (Luxury model, full electrics etc) that has been a series 3 front and rear end. Gun metal grey in colour. I've owned this car since April and have had no drama's what so ever. This is my 4th R31 and I think I'm growing up a bit and over modifying cars (it hurts my hippocket too much).

This is it in a nutshell:

    Exterior:

Series 3 front and rear end.

16 inch Simmons V4/5 Wheels, 16x7 fronts and 16x9 rears.

Federal SS595s 205/50/16s at the front, 99% tread (brand new 3 weeks ago).

Intensa 225/50/16s at the rear, about 75% tread (older than the fronts).

Removed boot spoiler (still have it can include)

    Modified front bar.

    Interior

NOS Racing seats up front (hard but very comfortable, drove Brisbane to Cairns didn't even get a sore back)

    Autotechnica steering wheel

    JVC Mp3/CD player

6 inch splits at the front with tweeters

6x9 JVC's in rear parcel shelf

    Full electric windows (all work)

    Electric mirrors

    Electric antenna

    Turbo timer

    Boost guage (on A pillar)

    Extra DC output in glovebox.

    Blue door card lights throughout.

    Suspension/braking

    Front:

HR31 floating hub type struts with HR31 rotors and calipers.

    Koni orange adjustable front suspension

    Adjustable camber tops

Low king springs in it now, have custom K-Mac springs with 8kg/mm spring rate too go in.

    Whiteline Heavy duty 27mm swaybar

    Rear:

Monroe gas struts on Pedders sports ryders.

Have Bilstien rear struts from GTS2 to go in, with K-mac springs 6kg/mm spring rate.

    Whiteline heavy duty 22mm Swaybar

All bushes have been replaced front to back in the last 12 months. Car handles very well and will handle even better with Bilstiens and new springs in it.

I will include springs and Bilstiens with sale, and will put them in if buyer wants them. Am leaving out for now as it may be too hard for some people.

    Drivetrain

    R32 1992 RB20DET with roughly 150 thou k's on it. Installed 2006.

    5 speed R32 gearbox

    Exeedy ceramic brass button clutch

3 inch mandrel bent exhaust from Turbo back.

    FMIC intercooler 700x360x70

2.5 inch Intercooler piping made by Rob Bliss in Brisbane.

    Standard ecu/injectors/fuel pump etc.

    Minispool diff with 3.89:1 gears.

Engine is running at 11psi. Run on BP Ultimate 70% of the time and Shell V-Power the other 30%.

I think I have covered mostly everything.

Car is not thrashed at all, it is my daily driver. It has seen two motorkhanas were it placed very well. Oil changes were done before and after each motorkhana.

Car has had major service on 11/11/09.

No leaks what so ever, no knocks, no rattles. Most excellent car, it is my 4th skyline and by far the best. My previous one wasone with an rb25 in it, and this car is alot nicer to drive and quicker too.

    Bad points

Paint on the roof is faded. That is the only bad point on the car... it doesn't fuss me too much so I never got it painted. However a paintshop here quoted $700 to respray the roof and boot.

  4. Name: Todd

    Where: Trinity Beach, Cairns.

Ride: R31 Skyline with RB20DET... for now.

    About:

Drive something that resembles a cereal box but doesn't go too bad. Am part of the events committee and am keen on meeting new people and learning anything new whether it be about cars or wahtevz. If you wanna buy an RB20... PM me

  5. Hey mate,

Turbo suits RB20 and 25 manifolds, I didn't think they were a T3 only because the VL T3 turbs wouldn't fit on my 20.

Am willing to post to Adelaide, PM me a postcode and I can get a rough price too you. For $1000 I will include postage, Aust wide.

Check out this link for more info: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/hpiab2/category12_1.htm

It is the one that RRP for $1825.

I have spoken to the previous owner of this turbo who is a member of SAU and SAUQLD and he bought the turbo from the Garret turbo wholesaler (forget name) in Brisvegas.

Anymoer info, please just ask :(

    Cheers, Todd.

  6. Hey guys,

Thinking of parting out with my engine.

    It tisssss

originally from a 1992 R32, was put into an R31 Ti in 2006.

Engine currently has aroudn 140 000k's on it, i've put near 20 thou on it since owning it in April.

Serviced religiously every 5000k's by myself and the previous owner was also extremely tight arsed about it as well.

Engine is not heavily modded, only running 3inch zorst from turbo back and FMIC at 11psi.

Will be getting a dyno readout next weekend at the Cairns Auto Spectacular.

    This package will include:

    RB20DET Complete Engine

    Loom

    Standard ECU

    R32 RB20 5speed manual gearbox

    Exceedy brass button ceramic clutch

    All oil and water lines.

At the moment it is an expression of interest as I weigh up my options.

This engine surprised the shit out of me when I first got it and even now, I didn't think it would pull as hard as what it does.

The engine is not thrashed and has seen a drift day and will be seeing its second motorkhana this sunday (come out for a look/ride). I change the oil before and after these events. Has not missed a beat since owning it.

If you would like pictures or more information, just PM me. PM me for a price too, looking at offers around $2000 but PM me what you got/willing to pay.

Also have a Garret GT28/71 turbo that can go with it or be sold seperately maybe. I have not put it on the engine, and I bought it off a mate in Brisbane who had it on his rb25 and only ran ~2500k's with it on.

Is modified to suit 20/25 manifolds.

RRP is 1895 from Garret.com, looking at around $1000. As again, PM me with what you got.

    Cheers, Todd.

  7. ok, well i have the mag. and yes they do have the figures as-

    astra 0-100= 5.29 seconds and 0-400m= 13.42 @ 176.8kmh

    xr5t 0-100=5.41 seconds and 0-400m= 13.52 @ 174.9kmh....

however if you read through the article it says the astra does 0-100 in6.7 and the xr5t in 7.5 and across the 1/4 mile are 14.75 for the astra and 15.38 for the xr5t. this got me thinking that someone had cocked up. so i flicked through for another 6 or 7 pages and come across a comparison of the bmw z4 m roadster and the mercedes-benz slk55, and do you know what? guess what the performance times for they are. thats right, bmw z4 0-100= 5.29 seconds and 0-400m= 13.42 @ 176.8kmh and mercedes-benz 0-100=5.41 seconds and 0-400m= 13.52 @ 174.9kmh

so there we have it. they cocked up after all.

I have read the same thing and noticed the same thing.

Anyway, a while back MOTOR took 2 cars (I forget which), and they trialed their own 1/4timing shit (sort of like g tech, they mentioned that somewhere), and took those 2 same carss on the same day to a drag strip to be recorded by that time.

Anyway, to cut out lots of mathematical shit and stuff, MOTOR's way was always probably 2/10's faster than what it was at the drags, i cannot remember why but yeah tahts all it said :).
