We just put the Whiteline bars on my 32. We just took the rear back off and put the standard one back on. Reason being my lap times were no better in some case's worse. The bars we got have 2 setting's (I dont know if they are soft/med or med/hard) we tried them on the far end setting, no good, moved them both to the inside setting, was a little better but still heaps of exit oversteer. The front feels good but the rear doesnt. We only have basic setup, no coilovers, tyres that are getting old. I read that its better to have a stiffer front and a softer rear so we will try that and see how it goes. Problem is we just dont have the money to go testing so it will be race day before I know if its good or bad. Which is NOT good. Visit My Website

Dont know if this is the same thread I posted in before, but Ive been running my RB20 since May with GTR injectors with the Apexi ECU and no resistor pack. Works fine. Others have run the same for years and no problems. My car was tuned at Pro Auto here in Hobart and they have done loads of cars. None of us that race them here in Tassie run resistors, one bloke had them and took them off. 3rd Place Targa B 2008

For those that werent there (I think there was as many there as were at Bahrain for the V8's!!) you missed a Skyline 1-2 in Targa class (B). Ross Marsden and yours truly finished 1st and 2nd in 3 of the 5 races (him first me second ) to claim 1st and 2nd for the round. Most of the time we were glued together with Ross's car having the edge in a straight line. He did a best of 61.8 and mine was a 62.3. Both of us had improved cars. My best at Symmons before was a 64.4 Ive posted a couple of videos on my site and will put some more on youtube later. JBR

Good R32 Gtst Short Shifters
johnGTS-t replied to jakez88's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I put one in mine (i think the same as one as this) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...ter-t21079.html. i liked it but the oil runs out going up hills. we didnt put a cover over the hole, then we tried to fit a small one but it just popped out when i changed gear. cant see how to fit the cover from the standard stick when the mount has only a small edge and it wouldnt stay on it. its fine on the flat but going up steep hills isnt. iv put the original stick back in for now till we modify the mount. -
HUGE field of cars entred as of last friday. 30 HQ, 28 Targa (7 Skylines), 13 Historic, 11 Vee, 6 IP

Actually, its not a round, its the 20th anniverary of HQ racing which started one meeting before I did!! Hope its not wet either.

If your not into footy, there is motorsport a plenty on Sept 27/28th at Baskerville. Huge 2 day event. Check the local papers later in the week for details. I myself hope to back on the pace in Targa B, although I said that last time!!! I lost 10kws (190) last time there and couldnt crack 62 secs, where with 200kws that I now have again I can do low 61 secs, which is where I need to be in order to fight for wins (here's hoping) Its been a tough and expensive year chasing power and fixing problems and I hope that this weekend brings joy instead of sorrow. But thats motor racing as they say in the classics. Hope to see some of you there.
-
Well i didnt have the meeting I was hoping to have. Still not enough grunt for Symmons. couldnt crack the 63's. Doesnt help when you knock the boost control onto the lowest setting either which I did in Race 1. Then in Race 3 a small vacum hose cracked and came off. And to top it off in Race 4 the power steering belt broke. I drove the last race without it just to finish and get points. So now its back to Baskerville on Sept 27/28th for the HQ nationals and also the 20th year of HQ's. We should go better there.

Half way mark of the season already. Im currently 4th in Targa B, with a 3rd and 2 5th placings. Had some troubles but hopefully they are over and I will be back at the front of the field somewhere. My car will be sporting a new look, lets just say the green is gone. Pity actually, since i made myself a t-shirt!! Ill be wearing it anyway until i make another. All the usual classes will be racing HQ IP/SS Historic Targa Vee's Regularity (maybe) Racing usually starts at 11am, practice from 9am. Entry??? $10 i think Hopefully the weather will be fine. I dont have room to bring all my wheels and tyres this time. C Ya there!!!Visit My Website

anyone here know the idiot a the lime green skyline? if you do tell him to stop being a dick and look where he is going instead of showing off. changed lanes into the suicide lane on the brooker, didnt look, nearly cleaned me up.
-
ok, but isnt there setting in the PFC to choose what injectors you are running? so in essance your telling the PFC what you have so it will do the rest?
-
I have just installed 444cc injectors in my rb20, running an rb20 apexi pfc. do i need a resistor pack or not? ive been told i do and dont and this thread seems to say do. so????

Here's my old girl. couple of incar vids hereJBR power 202kws at 16.5psi mods oil cooler, fmic, inlarged rb20 turbo, 040 fuel pump, jjr coil packs, 3'' ex, chipped ecu, rear adj camber, lowered springs, shorter front upper conrtrol arms and that about it i think. Ive had three 3rd placings (for the rounds) and my last race meeting was the most successfull in terms of placings, Q 2nd, Heat 1 4th, H2 2nd, H3 1st and the Final 4th and unfortanly ended up with one brand new turbo ruined. Im still getting used to saying 1st!!!!! i like it. -
