********** UPDATED WITH RESERVES LIST 06/07/10 ************ Okay, obviously there are a few people who missed out on getting a spot in the initial 48 Thus as mentioned previously, I have posted up a reserves list (1st post in this thread) For any unfortunate drivers whom for whatever reason can not make it to the day, can sell their position to a person listed on the reserves list. The price is at the sellers discretion and not moderated by SAU:NSW. Please let me know of any changes so i can update our list accordingly. If you have any difficulty contacting a member on the reserves list, just let us know and even post here your desire to sell your spot. Any issues, queries, drop me a line PS. I will have the groupings/new thread up hopefully tonight!!! Excited! You better be, only 10 sleeps to go ladies n gents -

That would be me organising groups...... I am grouping entrants by experience and previous times. I am looking at having 4 or 5 groups of 9 to maybe 12 cars in each. Each group has anywhere from 12-15 minute runs (including out lap, hot laps and in lap) so that way you are getting 1 run an hour. You are going to end up getting about 6-8 HOT LAPS in per session, so plenty of time to 'learn the trade' As mentioned above, i will be looking into this, sorting it all out over the next few days and will post final groupings shortly. -

Dave / Everyone. Garages are first come first serve! But there are heaps of them!! As for leaving tools about, I have NEVER had any issues with leaving any of my stuff out and about during any track day, be it SAU, Circuit Club, Autosports as it is all a very friendly environment..... I would hate to think that there will be people at our day who would consider 'taking' stuff. -

Best option by far is what Dan just said..... Just bring along a couple bits of small timber with you and lay they down in your car spot, 1 at the back to roll up against and 1 at the front to roll over and keep you in position. This way you can leave the car in neutral, no brakes at all and let it cool down/leave running for 5 minutes after a session. Also a big tip, on the cool down lap (in lap), don't go slow!!! 1 reason is it slows up the next session getting out BUT most importantly you need to maintain a safe speed to feed cool air into the engine bay, brakes ect etc to cool it down. So don't back right off! Helps reduce heat soak Old sports socks over all reservoirs is also a bonza trick!! Just make sure it is secured by a cable tie or very tightly wrapped around it!! -

*********** UPDATE V2.0 *********** Okay ladies and gents we are approaching the day itself, so we will be potentially closing off entry on this Sunday 5th July 2010!!!!!!! So.......... if you want to take the remaining final few spots (approx 5-6) then get your payments in ASAP!!! If we happen to receive more payments than spots available, as previously mentioned we can put you on a reserves list, then ultimatley a refund if required. Second thing to note! We will be accepting $20 cash on the day for passengers to enter :) Our kind accountant has been convinced that this will be a easy exercise!! *fingers crossed* So what we will do is have a desk or someone setup to receive payments and issue out passenger wrist bands!! If in doubt just ask an official and we will point you in the right direction! So no more stress about payments for passengers before the day. Just rock up and pay your $20!!! Thank you to those who have already paid up for their passenger entry, we will have yours ready to be issued in the morning! Now is the time for all drivers to start going through the checklist of pre-track day preperation for your cars! Concentrate on fluids, brakes and tyres, all queries should be already answered in this thread anyway, if not just ask Sometime next week i will start to organise groups and commuincate some finer details of the day, so stay tuned kiddies!!! For all those who have stated they are happy to volunteer and help out, THANK YOU! We will certainly appreciate this on the day, so please make yourselves know in the morning and we can assign you a job! Time to get excited!! -

100% correct Bobby! No hand held cameras by passengers whilst in car. Only correctly mounted cameras will be allowed (plenty of methods out there so do a forum search). If any passengers are seen holding a camera or video camera whilst on the track, they will lose their passenger pass for the rest of the day! Don't risk it guys n gals. There are plenty of great places around the track to snap that perfect photo!! It's common sense and a simple saftey rule for everyones wellbeing! A tiny camera can do a lot of damage flying through a car at 100+km/h -

Just for you snookums it is all updated as of payments yesterday. *********************************************** UPDATE 22/06/10 - NOT MANY SPOTS LEFT!!!!!!!! *********************************************** Ok ladies n gents, we are down to only a few spots left, depending on pending payments (posts in thread) i would guestimate there to be a maximum of 8 spots left. So if you have been thinking about entering then now is the time!!!! Spots will be allocated in chronological order of PAYMENT recieved, not posts! So get your money in ASAP to secure a fun day. If we recieve your payment after the event is full, we can refund you the money and offer to enter you into a 'reserves list'. If anyone pulls out or wants to sell up, then the seller can approach the people listed in that list via PM and offer to sell their spot. Just let us know if there is an exchange of entrants! Less than a month to go, so start thinking about all the things that should be checked on your prides n joys before getting onto the track!! EXCITED!?!?!?! -
