  1. Hi. If you havent had the job done there maybe a simple fix. If the outlet is on the ground floor get some plastic pipe push it over the outlet and direct it away from the wall. should fix your problem. If the outlet is leaking constantly you will probably need a new valve on the heater unit.
  2. Hi. The nufinish add where they put a car through a carwash 52 times you have probably seen. When they apply the product they don't rub it off to a shine merely put the car through the carwash and after 52 washes the excess product is washed off and it still beads(wow).

  5. Hi. Yes america would be looking for another conflict to get involved in as the armament and associated industries there need to be supplying the forces with weapons and back up logistics. People do not realise how much clout these companies have with regards to policy and how the economy there is very dependant on them producing 24/7. Without conflict america would be in a an even poorer economic position than they are now, Stupid world isn't it.
  6. Hi. If the car has previously been registered and regardless of no plates it should still have the vin number stamped into the firewall. If so the registration people have a record of the car.You should be able to sort out registration if this is the case.

  10. Hi. If it was me i would replace the pads with a set of standard 400c pads should fix the problem. Sounds as if your pads are too hard or the pad mix is incorrect. A little tip if you use your car only on the street a harder pad takes longer to heat up therefore is not as efficient as a standard pad.

  14. Hi. If you want to make your own lay the gasket paper over the cover and rub around the inside edge with abrasive paper to remove the paper not needed in the centre of the housing and a wad punch for holes. We make all our paper gaskets this way.
  15. Hi. If you are using a foam pad pod filter this may significantly increase your airflow. The usual scenario is the mesh is hard up against the foam. If you trim the edge of the foam making it smaller so that there is air space between the mesh and foam when fitted you have a larger volume of air into the engine by allowing the air to go around the mesh. A simple demonstration- while you are reading this put a finger across your palm. You palm is the filter your finger is the mesh now imagine air trying to penetrate the foam through your finger- it cant. Try it and you may be surprised at the results as there is a large area the mesh covers.
  16. Hi. Why dont you first get a set of springs at whatever rate has been suggested and try them on your current shockabsorbers as the japanese usually run spring rates much higher than what we use here. May save you a bundle.

  19. Hi. My sons mate was asking about fitting rubber suspension bushes and using a press to fit them and how much people wanted to fit them. Told him i could fit them without a press. Usual things were said " impossible without a press". Anyway all fitted no problems so i thought i would share the way you can fit rubber bushes only. First you need two pieces of 1/8 plate steel hole drilled in the middle and a bolt and nut to suit the diameter and length. The next item you need is a bottle of methylated spirits. This is the important item. Simply soak the bushes(must be rubber) for thirty minutes in the metho(completely covered) as this causes them to shrink slightly. Pop them in tighten nut in tool and bingo in they go- when dry the rubber goes back to its original size. Of course will not work with steel outer bushes, Hope this has been of some value
