Hankook K107 Vs Kumho Ku31
75coupe replied to HomeDawwg's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Are those prices for one or two tyres, sounds like a pair price...? I've used the hankooks before, I didn't go back for another pair, they didn't do it for me in the wet, I preferred the nangkangs NS2s even though most consider those a rather low end performance tyre. -
Sydney Kid Plz Read Asap
75coupe replied to Adz2332's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If you do a search for king springs on SAU I'm pretty sure you'll find king springs are a linear spring and whitelines are progressive and I'm sure Sydney Kid will have a preference for whiteline springs due to the progressive quality of the spring... I'm sure I've read him saying that before in other threads when people have asked about king springs. Please double check me though. I run king lows with bilsteins and am looking to change to whitelines due to the roughness of the ride I feel would benefit from having a progressive spring to take out that initial harsh feel but keep the mid corner or under pressure firmness, rather than just feeling every little bump in a straight road. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. -
R33 Interior.. Need Some Opinions..
75coupe replied to J3TR33's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Axis rims rims aint from Japan, they are USA made... and as far rims go personally I would not rate them highly at all... I find them a tad tacky like red and black or white fake leather interiors bought off ebay... remember, you wanted opinions... -

Battery Being Drained In 6days - Alarm Possibly?
75coupe replied to 75coupe's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I thought the alarm battery sounded on the money when I thought about it, But I will check the boot light as well, thats one I would not of thought of... Any other suggestions guys, otherwise this electrician is gonna pull my dwell module so the light comes on with doors open, which is ok, but if its unnecessary I'd prefer not... I have been pointing him in a few directions, (actually the first electrician that I found I had to give ideas too... especially since I'm crap with electronics) -
So I took the car to a sparky, he seemed nice enough and had knowledge of skylines. I expected him to find an obvious electrical issue as I'm not an electrically minded person (but learning). He has been scratching his head a little and we've been trouble shooting it together a little. Brand new century battery, alternator output is solid. and its an intermittent low amperage drain He has tracked it down to the "interior light dwell module" which I guess could be it, he's saying it seems stable when its been unplugged for the last couple of days (hes had it a week), I've never noticed the interior light being on and I see the car every night in pitch black so I definitely know the interior light is not on all the time at least. I had the though it could be related to the alarm's internal battery being kaput & attempting to charge now and again, also the once the battery is very low on charge the alarm goes off but the siren is so quiet and barely croaking you can't hear it, I thought the alarms internal battery was so if the main car battery is cut off it uses its own internal battery to sound the alarm, so shouldn't the alarm be able to power itself after the power is drained from the main battery? Anyone have any ideas?

Personally I wouldn't goto a tyre or wheel shop I would go directly to the source, "A Wheel Repairer", the tyre shop will only send it to someone else and charge you more for it. I had a whole set of rims fixed for $200 all gutter rash and any chips welded up... and again another rim that was cracked I took to him and after he had a go at repairing it, he showed me where someone previous had a go at alloy welding it and heated it too much which in turn made the metal brittle and unrepairable (due to shrinking and expanding metal), since he couldn't fix it, he didn't charge me, what a nice guy, now I'll take all my wheel repairs to him, not that I expect to see more.

I love black rims, almost all of my cars have had black rims.... and they look great... a good early morning or late afternoon photography session will really bring them up lookin good... try a shot from down low, really makes the rims the focus of the shot... with the sun behind you... I'm not a fan of the blue or red nuts though, all black I'd even be tempted to paint the centre cap... then some black racing graphics......... yeah I know...

R33 Interior.. Need Some Opinions..
75coupe replied to J3TR33's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
This again is one of those thing you really should just decide on your own cause others will only give you their opinion and everyone has one of those.... But, if you do just want another opinion that you may just disagree with, I'd stay right away from red & black it just looks tacky and cheap, I'm not a beige interior person, whenever I see beige or white interiors the next thing they get is 20"chromies, not a fan at all... I'd go all black or black and dark grey, that way it suits the rest of the interior. I'm also not a fan of painted dashboards, everyone I've seen looks tacky and you know in a years time its gonna look worse from wear, reupholstered dashboards with a complete reupholstered interior would be ok but again I would go low key, black or dark grey, the outside of the car is for flamboyance, the inside is the machines interface for a driver... But its just another persons opinion you have to like it yourself, screw what others think. -
Trany Whine Please Help
75coupe replied to ReganGTS25T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'm interested to know what track you used to do a top speed run on... I would be interested in doing the same but, I don't know of a track that is long enough or banked enough...? Gearbox whine, have you change the fluid recently? What fluid did you use? What weight? How many Ks on the box? -
Eastern Creek Raceway To Go World Class
75coupe replied to No Crust Racing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Apart from the track changes I feel the biggest difference we will notice is price increases across both track days (porsche & ferrari clubs won't mind of course, they're made of money) and to go and watch racing live... Yes, it will invite a higher grade of motorsport but they will expect to get the money back, and as mentioned before there will be no competition from other tracks... wakefield isn't exactly close to major population. -
You had a special event on Friday night did you...? I can always provide you with computer files that you can supply to someone who can produce and install in melbourne for you.

Rocket Bunny Style Widebody Kit For R33?
75coupe replied to Travis Bickle's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
The side skirts kinda look similar to do-luck... that does look cool... would you be going for the revited on look on moulded in? -
I'm not in Melb so I can't recommend anyone down there, but your looking for signage shop that does large format printing. But with the white background issue you will need someon that can print and cut on the one machine, they will refer to it as digital decal print & cut to shape. Another but, your car is black, adhesive backed vinyl comes in clear & white (other colours but I won't confuse you at this time). Clear on a black car, won't work, image printed on clear won't work as digital printing cannot print white so it would be a translucent finish and on a black car you simply won't see it. Printed on white it will have a hard edge after being cut to shape obviously, but also its still on white so the very edge will have a fine white line, if its just for a photoshoot or one day then it may be alright but I would not use it on a black car and expect it to look amazing as it will have a fine white line around the decal since the media printed on is white. I'm also not a fan of printed vinyl on vehicles because of the colours, they are very prone to fading and don't have very good depth to the colours. If it was for advertising it wouldn't matter too much but for a street car or showcar I would go for vinyl cut graphics because the vinyl is pigment dyed, meaning the red vinyl is red not red printed on white, the colour is far brighter & deeper, it has a very good gloss (so it looks more shiny, printed vinyl is very dull almost matt) and the colour won't fade nearly as quick (5 years outdoor guarantee) printed will fade very quickly depending on the colour, I have done tests and of course the blacks in printed vinyl suck, it simply is not black more dark grey. If you want send me your image that your thinking of getting done and I can evaluate it for you and possible give you some suggestion on how to accomplish the same design but make it turn out great, true showcar finish. I have a passion for printing both digital and traditional, I am in no way trying to score work for myself, but I do want people to see car graphics in their best light and for your car to end up looking the best it can without wasting your time and money and some signage shop or other unprofessional twat just selling you what they have.

Seat Rails For Aftermarket Seats
75coupe replied to Travis Bickle's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I don't know about the s14 ones fitting, I would of the thought the floor of a 33 would be different, but I haven't seen an s14 floor... I used a bride seat rail, n104 from memory, Im guessing I'm not at home at the moment, then used a custom alumiunium bracket that hangs off the side of the bucket. you can get bride ones I just had some brackets that I could customise a little to make them work. the rail needs to be the flat low variety you can then bolt practically any bucket seat brackets to it... Bride rails are terrific work like factory units, great build and not that expensive at $150 each. got mine from nengun with other bits and pieces, btw they will fill the rail box up with other parts so shipping works out good if you get a few things at the same time... be sure to use the right bolts for the right holes as they are specific lenths and types for a reason, fitting perfect.. -
