  1. Well it was running real rough id been testing and diagnosing it for few months and then decided it was timing and took it dvs jez, its all good now, didnt drive it with bad timing just trailered it up there. Well i would like a nismo 1.5 gtpro, lets see how much i save for a car budget...
  2. So a full weekend of car toying. Found the timing belt had jumped three teeth on the crank, damn lucky to only jumped three anymore would of mashed the valves. So thats fixed. New belts, new front crank seal too. Installed new clutch, billet flywheel, crank seal, thrust and spigot bush. New npc 5puk carbotic clutch, and put in a rebuilt gearbox... New clutch bites hard but pedal feel is lighter than the average exedy that was in there which was totally shot. Now just to change oil and filter, bleed brakes, and for the semi slicks in prep for track day at smsp 22nd sept... Took it for drive today felt good and im getting used to the clutch, should all be sweet for track. Now to look at new diff, start saving...
  3. Put in a supposedly rebuilt box along with new clutch, thrust, spigot, crank seal and lightweight flywheel. With clutch out in neutral it makes a continuous noise and occasional chatter, we diagnosed it as input shaft bearing. Clutch in noise goes away. Does that sound like what it could be and can i change it myself, seen writeups on sr20 boxes hoping rb25 boxes are similar.
  4. DVS found the issue to definitely timing, belt skipped three teeth, damn lucky to not have caused major damage, so it shoild all be sorted for track day currently getting timed and some stuff replaced... First time to a mech in 6yrs, and im glad i did
  5. Hi octane will do them for you, saw they posted up on fb a set they did, looked brand new
  6. What are you using the car for? Daily, track, bit of both?
  7. And i cant see 17x9 +12 fitting really well on a 33, they would be outside the guards
  8. I doubt they would fit without some modification and on the front you have to be joking
  9. Are you asking for advice or just wanting us to say yes to what you have heard... If you want quality and decent suspension then dont go to pedders and instead get decent gear like bilstein or mca. Then go and get a proper suspension setup done by like street to track or similar. If your looking at ebay gear then you dont know what is good, your going by price or by what other cocks have done... You get what you pay for.
  10. ^^^ yep agreed, seen this before.
  11. The rbf600 will be good, i use the same so do others. Put the dry ice in a plastic bag and tape the bag to the vertical parts...
  12. Ok i think ive narrowed it down after checking everything twice, i think the timing is out. Ive the cam belt cover off a few times over the years and never a prob, could it be the cas is just decided to die. Or the wiring loom has finally broken? I put a timing light on it and nothing lines up, used the white wire going to no1 spark plug. Pfc is now saying 24deg and then bounces to 16 and everything in between when warm.
  13. Damn, i just bought the clutch only for more than this... Would love the flywheel too...
  14. They still put pressure on the suspension parts and bearings etc... Thats what im trying to avoid having now suffered from long bumpy travel and strap setups
  15. Did a bit of searching on here and google but couldnt find what i was hoping for. Im going to change my strap setup on my car trailer, seen it on another car trailer at a meet. Going to use square u bolts one before and after each wheel and run a strap on each side from front to back going under the ubolt over the tyre and back under the second ubolt for each tyre. Going to weld in some square metal tube under floor of trailer for each ubolt to go through since floor is just mild steel 2or 3mm sheet, double nuts on each thread. Does this sound ok? Any suggestions on improvements or things to consider? I think they are m10 or 12 ubolts just mild steel. I was using 1 x 1.5t strap per wheel but when towing over to adelaide for sau nats last year the rear toe arm was stripped on one side, possibly over tightened or just from forces from 130kph travelling on shit roads, plus the straps rubbed on my rims and marked one of them.
  16. The oil cooler would scare me mounted like that, id be worried about about the possibility of some thing hitting those connections that hang low. I mounted mine up the other way so the connections were safe and mounted it high
  17. Craft square stickers are $18 ea but you have to buy two, they wont sell one... Annoying huh
  18. If its the proS outlet do you have the dump pipe for it, as its a specific dump flange isnt it, im after one
  19. Thats easily a good price, awesome quality on these, i love mine
  20. Why get the rears machined, i havnt needed to machine a rotor in years and it gets tracked, my daily doesnt need rotors machined either...
  21. Read up on diffs, dont just use what people recommend, understand what an upgrade diff does and choose what you need, flywheel the same
