  1. lots of people run nos on the street even though it is illegal, most say as long as its not hooked up your fine unless you attract their attention... I've stayed away from it because of the defect factor... you should be able to get away with it, it would just worry me that one day if you get a defect it means you would have to pull it all out to get rid of the defect notice.... otherwise eveyone would do it...
  2. can you run nos on the street though or is this only intended for strip and show
  3. woah wait a second are you guys actually saying you drive agressively and speed on public roads... geez I thought this sort of conversation was illegal on SAU... Hell I drive depending on how fast I want to go... most of the time I drive like I'm on a race track with warm up and cool down laps... and then come in the pits for fuel fairly regularly
  4. photoschlop it...
  5. oh could be copies... more info and photos please....
  6. yep great rim really light, I cannot find a lighter rim locally...
  7. yeah they are wantanbe. thats why I jumped in with an offer... Perfect for an R31 drifter... Wait a second they are slightly damaged in the pic, there is bend in the lip... pics of the other 3 please offsets, what tyres are on them, pics of the fresh paint as well. Are they powder coated or just a cheap spray can job?
  8. I'll give ya $50, say yes and ship em to me straight away... you should really post a price....
  9. http://www.aerocatch.com/ is the website which will tell you everything you need to know... I ordered them from http://vsport.com.au/vsport_aerocatch.htm they are the australia distributors and will have the best price, ordered them over the phone and received them like 2 days later by express post... about $110 delivered or something painting sounds like a job for the panelshop
  10. the bonnet locks are black just not gloss... I wouldn't of thought it would be that durable painting the plastic...
  11. Some people might be interested to see a carmate fibreglass bonnet fitted. Take note of the perfect gap between guard and bonnet, very happy with it. I got it second hand but it had never been painted or fitted. very cheap very happy... The only thing I didn't like on the bonnet was the mesh they supplied, I will replace it with black stainless steel security mesh. It also has flush mounted bonnet locks... it does have stainless steel screws holding them on but am getting the panel shop to use the black allen key bolts that came with it, will have that done later this week... oh just noticed I should take some shots of the rear facing vents in the centre for you to see them...
  12. need more info... like sizes?
  13. um maybe cause the dash temp sensor isn't accurate & doesn't give an actual temp... you should see the difference between the speedo on the dash and what the PFC says...
  14. thats a pretty rough statement considering many people in this thread have been happy with their product... maybe we should start a poll to see what sort of ratio of good and bad expereicnes there have actuallt been... I'll start 1 vote for good fibrglass bonnets from carmate, even though the company name sounds gay......
  15. so would I be... as I said before I'm yet to see one done right without the manufacturer being involved... but I am a picky bastard
  16. I wouldn't trust a fibreglass bonnet at 200km/hr so yes bonnet pins would definitely reassure me... the flush mount ones are cool....
  17. If I was you I would believe people with first hand experience not people who heard from a friend or read somewhere.. I too had doubts about them from what I heard but you speak to people with their product and all is good... Keep in mind it will need paint as well, a couple of hundred more and you can maybe have a CF one...
  18. no one wants 16" rims not even for drift....
  19. Dropping the bonnet to stop the paint cracking, really? I would really have to drop it to get it to close, they are really light so there is no weight to get the latch to react... I would of though dropping would give stress cracks as well....
  20. I'm yet to hear of a decent aftermarket sunroof install... they all leak as far as I've heard... but please prove me wrong, it will come down to the installer and the hardware, curviture of the roof and size of the actual sunroof...
  21. I heard they were bad as well until I picked one up for cheap in its brand new raw condition. Got it painted and fitted with flush mounted bonnet locks, it was really good quality the sprayer loved it as it didn't really require any work except a quick sand a prime and a spray... Looks great on and lines up perfectly.... I should post some photos up... Got i painted gloss black. AB style for a ecr33 The only thing I didn't like was the vent mesh they used it was a but flimsy for me so I'll get some black security mesh folded to fit to match my FMIC mesh... I was really quite surprised but the fibreglass finish was great...
  22. Item: 1996 R33 Series 2 Bonnet Price: $240 To Fit: R33 Series 2 Location: Central Coast NSW I can deliver to sydney area for a price... pickup preferred. The bonnet looks great, It even comes with the water sprayers. I got a fibreglass bonnet with vents so I don't need this one.
