  1. Just heard ringwood raceway has been DA approved, i hope they are successful in making this track a reality.
  2. These stainless steel bolts really make a difference to the engine bay. Did you end up icluding the cam cover bolts in your bolt kits, i reckon owners would love the kits for that alone...
  3. Yep im road trippin from gosford, that plan sounds ok to me... Would be nice to drive along with some others whilst im trailering my 33... Im looking foraccommodation to share if anyone is interested both in sa and along the way
  4. the lock can be removed and just have it open with the internal release beside drivers seat... but I dont think the r34 wing will suit the r33 as the 33 bootlid is not flush as the 34 is... have you sat the 34 wing on there to see how it looks? post some pics
  5. I can weld ok, I just wasnt sure what is normally used for this type of thing... Ive had my wedling pressure tested and examined for inclusions etc, Im not self taught. I may be able to get a meridian made harness bar secondhand (hardly used), so may not need to make it myself afterall...
  6. Does anyone want to reccomend metal specs to fab this up with? Would really like to know...
  7. Can you just disconnect the cas and then turn on to pump fuel out or is that not good?
  8. Needs pics... Is it possible just to make a bracket up out of metal? Zip tie??
  9. Oh I have more info coming too Terry.... some good stuff, and some annoying stuff
  10. not in australia, from japan maybe... Ive been thinking of wide body on my r33 and I reckon it would be better to make your own tbh... fitting a wide body kit manufactured by a company is alot of work for just a 30mm each side I reckon make your own out of sheet metal, then it can be welded to the car, no fibreglass cracking or bonding issues the front guards could be made by modifying the std front guards... and doing this you can choose exactly how much more width you want, the money to buy a manufactured kit along with fitting and painting seems alot to pay for just a mere 30mm... I want like 50mm+
  11. luddenham after reading up on it, is only 1.25k long only has a straight of 250m, and 6x 180 degree turns, bigat its widest its 8m its thinnest only 6m... sounds like a kart track or driver training, maybe drift. no pit garages planned as far as I can tell.... The development at CASAR has a 12m wide track all round, lots of pit garages etc... these guys are planning a proper race track, with also skid pan and kart track... they also develop further down the line a community involved recreation park feel, wall climb, watersports, picnic areas, their secondary aim is to have social involvement for the youth and disadvantaged in the area, the track is seen as a good way to fund a community based exercise, its not for profit, so any funds made from having car enthusiasts use the facility go back to developing the secondary aim and/or community based good stuff. they have some good people on the committee too, very community minded people with experience in helping and teaching disadvantaged youth and the community as a whole... plus they like their racing... I know Brad goes to phillip island with his bike for track fun.
  12. exactly...? this is what Im trying to get across to the execs, they think people dont want to donate, I feel people dont want to donate because: A. the exec committe are not reputable B. there is no reason why this effort will succeed C. they (the enthusiasts) have seen track ideas come and go previously The exec committee have a good community based thought to the idea, but they really need to include the motor enthusiast in their plans, I would love to show them that enthusiasts are ready and willing to support but they (the enthusiasts) need some reassurance that the development isnt half hearted and that the funds will go towards what is intended, building a track! What if I got some very reputable motoring legends to endorse the this development, would that help?? This development has a donation page if you want to donate. http://gogetfunding.com/project/casar-park-community-motor-sport-facility I would like to see every car club and forum have a dedicated CASAR park representative spouting the efforts of the committee and also answering questions that need be answered, like what would a track day cost at the proposed venue, what types of motorsport would they allow, would their be timing available, how many pit garages would be available?... I have these answers, and Im working with them to have these answers meet the expectation of the proposed users of the venue, YOU the enthusiast.
  13. Where are you located? Ive had rims repaired worse than this, $50 ea to weld and spin up, then i powdercoated the set... They looked perfect when finished
  14. they need more funding, basically they are looking for car enthusiasts to donate funds to get it going... Ive been speaking to Brad, who is part of the exec committee for CASAR Park and whilst they are working hard to make it happen, fundraising is a large part of it.. I personally am wanting to make it common knowledge to all motoring enthusiasts that the track is there to be built if, and I stress if, the enthusiasts are willing to basically do something to make it happen... funding...!! If every enthusiast donated $10 ea, this track would be getting built RIGHT NOW!!!! lets make dreams become reality, lets not let this development become one of the ones that didnt go anywhere!!!
  15. Correction iron x , it removes iron deposits and i you can use it as a wheel cleaner and its spray on leave hose off, heaps of youtube vids on it
  16. IronX, google it...
  17. Guess im not the only one who finds the comments annoying
  18. Cause as per your usual responses the one you made was crap Was there any suggestion the bolt may be stretched? Im pretty sure if a tap measures a thread it should be that right, oh wait unless its stretched...
  19. ok measured all case bolts turns out the one I was measuring has been stretched at some point in its life.... that explains it
  20. ill keep asking as long as the tap thread and the bolt thread dont match, thats why its on an angle cock, cause it dont match... Pretty simple, no it aint threaded There is
  21. You bought car parts on ebay, enuf said
  22. Ok sorry to keep on this but ive confirmed my m6x1 tap does not fit thread wise to the rb25 cas bolt. Its a std bolt, i know this... Either im definitely a martian or i dont know how to measure a bolt thread but my frost set of dies, specifically m6x1 does not fit the cas bolt thread... Someone please tell what im doing wrong??
  23. Dampers arrived all good. Was a bit worried when i saw 'not to be used with carbon bonnets etc...' As i have a fibreglass bonnet, but once install i think they will be fine, doesnt take alot of pressure to close and holds it up nice and high. Ill probably put pressure toward the back of bonnet to start the closing process but im happy with them, no more ugly bonnet stand, so glad to finally rip that out!!! Thanks for organising the group buy nytsky....
