75coupe replied to Ishman's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling

Sparco pro2000 seats, two 4 point takata harnesses, I dont mind removing the rear seat of course as its useless now... but I dont want a full or half cage until I want to go full weld in, but I do need harness mount points for track days and other events. I know Meridian do harness bars that go between the rear seatbelt upper mounting points, but they are in Vic, Im in NSW makes sense to buy local, plus they probably want my car to fit it properly, I havnt asked. Question is, can I just make my own? I can weld, I can measure is there anything more to it for just a harness bar? or is there others in my area that can make one up that is reasonable price, afterall its not for competition/professional use & its not for registration or legal purposes afaik... USA seems to have these on the market for r33, they mount between the front upper seatbelt mounts and have more mounts going to the lower seatbelt mounts, so the harness will be mounted at around shoulder height just behind the seat. anyone have an opinion on these... http://www.cipheraut...-GM-Harness-Bar

if your considering 'flex fuel' setup the above statement of finding an ECU for the 'right price' wont be an issue, the whole setup is exxy and cant be found at the 'right price'.... there is a whole thread on the flex fuel setup... Link G4 Haltech are the ECUs I know can take ethanol feedback for fuel trim... there are more Im sure...

wait a sec, I was serious in my comments... but it seems you actually just want to delete stuff, like AC... just confirm for me 'you want an easy no rewiring way of making the engine bay look uncluttered without having to rewire...?' no, there is no simple way... rewire it all and relocate the fuse box... or rip out the engine and replace it with a carburettor engine with no headlights, electric fans... engine bay 'deloomed'

High Mount T04 Turbo To Much Lag! :( Wanna Change
75coupe replied to Samgrainger32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you bought a car that has been modified but dont know what parts have been used...? why? You really need to know exactly what you have before you do anything... -
forward facing plenum, relocated fuse box, rewire so all wiring is under the guards and is grouped and rerouted under things on in conduits... but isnt that all obvious...?

To Rebuild... Or Not To Rebuild?
75coupe replied to OzzySkyline07's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yep secong hand motor is quicker, but he wants the upgrade of a built one to be safe... I can understand his thinking, just a shame he didnt have more time to consider all options fully... and yeah budgetting and cars dont work, add 20-30% onto the estimate... its the little things that add up... -
To Rebuild... Or Not To Rebuild?
75coupe replied to OzzySkyline07's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
sounds like he didnt have time to think about it much... its a daily for him, he needs it back asap obviously... -
if you def want internally gated and all the other requirements are rock solid, (sleeper, low mount, cheap ) then you have no options, you have to get a HG turbo... Kinugawa, if you had of read the thread, has most people saying externally gated is the way to go... Im sure a few others will come in with their own opinions as well and you'll be left confused by the replies and at the end of it you'll make your own decision anyways... the forums has heaps of info about turbo choice, you just need to read.

To Rebuild... Or Not To Rebuild?
75coupe replied to OzzySkyline07's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What do you want from your car? Is it a daily or a Sunday car? Do you go to the track or is it a streeter? How much power do you want/need? Could always get a secondhand rb20 and sell and then get an r33 gtr but they arnt young anymore and will probably break something more expensive on that too... -
