  1. wow thats unexpected, good to know though...
  2. or what about using a small model aeroplane motor fuelled on alcohol mounted in the turbo snout... I love to see a super responsive 300rwkw turbo system...eliminate the lag
  3. Why not extend the turbo intake out into a 4" or 5" funnel and have a 4or5" fan instead of the small one Stao tested, that way it will drive more air and once condensed into the smaller compressor opening it would have more pressure/density wouldnt it...
  4. use the stock bumpstops they are fine as long as they are still in ok condition.. If your useing lowered springs cut the bumpstop down a tad, this is what I did, there is no problem... make sure you use boots though, they are the rubber sleeve that covers the strut, the shiny rod of the shock absorber, you dont want dirt getting in there it will shorten the life of the shock by chewing the seal out.. I used generic CV boots from repco, $12ea easy to get... or I also though I could use a bicycle tube cut down, I used some wire straps to make sure the boots stay in place protecting the strut... It really is an easy job replace suspension, do it yourself save a heap, feel good afterwards... get an aligement afterwards to be sure its all sweet... it your lowering def get an alignment and give thought to camber adjustment parts, there's a whole heap more info on that subject to be learnt... search
  5. I dont trust him already... Bumpstops not adjustable, just saying that is bizarre.... So your going to replace two apparantly ok rear suspension struts because he said its best..? crazy and will cost you $1200 just for parts, btw you could do the install yourself its easy as, like easy, like changing a tyre easy... two bilsteins struts, $400 if look around brand new... and done...
  6. Ummm i wouldnt think so, try searching
  7. A shock absorber doesnt hold the car up, the spring does... replace springs, but while your at it you may as well replace front two shocks with some more bilsteins to match the rear, replace springs, boots and bumpstops. That as cheap and reliable as you can get out of this one... then wait for something else to break.
  8. coilpacks are different, series 2 doesnt use an igniter as its built into the coilapcks... thats about it I think...
  9. Im not sure on those stickers eh... Ive been watching your thread for a while and everything looks clean and simple and then you go and put those stickers on just makes it look cheap... Dont be offended though, just seems tacky compared to other stuff your done to it (besides the front bar mesh that Im not personally a fan of stainless steel ftw)...
  10. ^^^^^ yep the last ones for sure.... love the Qest lights...
  11. late night drives always find old pac clear and with the window down all you hear is sound of RB echoing thru the valley...
  12. Everytime you post room42 it just seems your trying to bignote yourself... Do you stand on a soapbox to take a piss too...
  13. Just a tip, 3/6 is a Sunday, old pac at that time of day will be inundated with motorbikes of all sorts and tourists... Though if Im around I'll turn up... I like checking out other skylines and cool cars...
  14. I dont feel any dif from taking them (been on them for 9months daily) but yeah the piss is fluro... so its doing something. I also take BioC daily, Im a daily commuter to the city and Im trying to avoid a cold/flu so far its worked....
  15. black for sure... once you go black....
  16. if anyone can get part number for that window guide that would be great... dont adjust them up too much if they are worn either, they'll scratch the window
  17. quick answer, without spending thousands.... bond cages
  18. I used this as a guide on how to mount... it sits just as low as the std one... I honetly dont see the prob with using an 040 over a nismo pump for $200-300 more... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/253097-how-to-bosch-040-fuel-pump-in-r33-skyline-si-sii/page__hl__040__fromsearch__1
  19. maybe I didnt use the sock on that one, Ive done a few fuel pumps in the last year or two on dif cars, not all skylines.
  20. Hmmm, I wish I had of taken photos then... be one for over 1.5yrs with no probs, made sure the pickup was as low as the std one...
  21. I used the intank Bosch I thought that was the 040 and the 044 was the larger one that was for mounting outside the tank...
  22. I dont understand how much more of a drop in the bosch 040 could be... used std sock, used hose clamp to attach pump to arm done, wires onto pump done...
  23. I run 040, installed myself have had low fuel levels but also no problems... maybe I did the install better than others???
  24. Bosch 040 will be fine and cheaper for your needs
