  1. goto the sensor check on the hand controller and see if the water temp sensor is working before you start the car when cold... Ive had the sensor fail before but it work fine once warm...
  2. that is one ugly intake pipe....
  3. well gay or not, the mx5 will make your 33 look sad through the twisties... lol... If I was choosing a p plater car mx5 for sure, or sprinter/AE if on a budget, mx5 would pull the chicks and make the other guys jealous...
  4. ^^^^ thats why you should just do it all yourself, and just pay for a check over and tune....
  5. the black holden engine was also the high comp VK I6 as well....
  6. usually ford motors get painted blue and holden motors get painted red... Ive also seen ones painted yellow & orange...
  7. like this one... http://www.psiparts.com.au/detail.htm?ProductID=R33S-DWNG-CF
  8. and also where you can find a bride passenger seat rail for $100-$150... unless your talking about one in well used crappy condition...
  9. and those seats are utterly fugly, not that I would trust them as far as safety goes either... if you want adr approved get some 34gtr seats or be prepared to pay for quality, the eghey seats you linked are not quality...
  10. PSI Parts have the do-luck kit for gtst in fact their demo car is wearing it.... there is a build thread on here somewhere for it too...
  11. crap tyres... oh and someone told you that you were wrong..
  12. sounds like someones jealous... room42 you have crap tyres and a practically std r33, get over it....!!!
  13. ^^^ definitely, you could go the $600 tune and find they are only expecting to tune it and be done, if problems arise well thats outside of the quote. the $1200 tune is probably taking into consideration needing to check over the newly installed parts, double check things and then do a tune, nothing unexpected should arise in this instance, unless its something major, but then that 'something major' would happen in either case.. report back how it goes...
  14. hell I just use a clear hose thats the right size to fit the nipple snug & long enough to go from the nipple over the top arm into a glass bottle, no one way valves or special tools needed.. simple, works and is cheap, think it cost me $2.50 never spilt a drop of fluid and always do bleeding by myself, actually I do all the work on my cars by myself, my friends arnt that into cars...
  15. hmmm an R33 skyline with a 20B Turbo... interesting...
  16. atleast your getting some pressure now. What ECU have you got? Take it to your tuner, see what he thinks of the actuator, its possible you may need a better one... your EBC works off the boost pressure and not what the actuators doing. but if your actuator is not allowing the wastegate flap to open or your wastegate flap is stiff or is having trouble moving then your going to have issues anyways. take it get tuned and see what happens, its a bit hard to diagnose over the net...
  17. I just did mine consistantly taking note of how I took the OEM plugs off...
  18. if the wastegate was too soft though wouldnt it just blow open, hence no or low boost..??
  19. you can actually pull the plugs apart and remove the metal connector thats inside the plug and then install that terminal in the new plugs, saves having to cut wires and recrimp the terminals on.... then you also have the original plugs that you can reuse later if you want and also new connectors if you ever need them.... it just takes some figuring out with a small screwdriver on how to disassemble the plugs they come apart in a few pieces...
  20. yep thats preload, do you know what pressure you actuator operated at when you blew air into the actuator line?
  21. have you adjusted preload? how did you set preload?
  22. you shouldnt have to cut the loom, I just bought some new plugs for my sards and replaced the plugs, no cutting of the loom required...
  23. whats a WS-0448??? where did you get it? was it new or used?
  24. easy answer, get a flatbed to come and collect it and take it to your tuner
  25. what turbo is it? Where did you get it? Was it brand new or used? Did you use new gaskets on the exhaust side? Are you sure the wastegate is sealing, has it got enough preload on the wastegate?
