  1. In the powerFC boost control all you can change is boost pressure and duty cycle so to bring boost on asap would I increase the duty cycle or lower it? and will this change the final boost pressure?
  2. is boost control 'gain' the same as 'duty cycle' on the powerFC boost control settings???
  3. you really should know what mods are done to it before you buy it... if your unsure of what blowing smoke could mean then you pretty much need some help and eventually I reckon this thread will say 'take it to a decent workshop'...
  4. R33 GTST series 2 HKS GT2835 ProS - HPC coated 3" dump, 3" blitz front pipe, 3.5" HKS super dragger 550cc sard ARC intake 98 ULP unopened RB25 std cams 289.3rwkw @ 19psi check out signature for full specs...
  5. on my rips front facing plenum I used a throttle cable out of a SSS bluebird, about 12cm longer and exactly same fittings, $35 from a wrecker... done.
  6. or alternatively something like this... http://www.eastwood.com/vinyl-eraser-and-arbor.html
  7. put the car out in the sun use a razor to left and edge and work it slowly, If the vinyl is breaking frequently, try using the heat it again to soften the vinyl. and use a citric based adhesive remover to help it along (made from oranges get it at hardware store), WD40 also removes adhesives and goos
  8. hey thanks... if anything it will be richer though, so thats not too bad I guess, would a multimeter of the voltage to the pump help first???
  9. bummer I can turn spanners but I dont play with wires well.... I'll see what I can do though thanks for the advice... will that change the tune at all..?
  10. new bosch 040 pump, & sard 550cc injectors...
  11. well I dont get it then... Ive already seen my DC at 95% and tuner says I need larger?
  12. are you running a fuel reg with a bump in pressure to achieve that?
  13. yep ok E85 just purely so I can run less boost and generate less heat would be great of course... I simply dont have E85 in my area and my tuner said my 550cc injectors arnt big enough....
  14. Oh and btw everyone, I took it out for a drive on the weekend, and yeah I love it... any gear at 6500rpm is just absolute madness, I dont think I need anymore power, unless I was running slicks anymore power would just not work well as far as traction goes... finally my 33 is scaring me again... went straight up a huge hill in 3rd and practically was going to launch off the top... luv it, next I need semis...
  15. Ive also got: 3" mild steel front pipe, from stock turbo to cat - $80 6 std injectors from a R33 series 2, removed for upgrade - $150 r34 turbo and SMIC sold pending payment
  16. I think we later confirmed its not the standard exhaust flange but it is a more readily availble one compared to the ProS version which is pretty much unique which makes it quite annoying if you dont have the matching HKS dump
  17. nope not its my spare used 2835 on ebay... it is listed in the SAU for sale section though... no damage its ready to be used, just that I found a brand new one amazingly cheap and couldnt resist.
  18. well the hks dump replaces the std dump, to fit the front pipe... thats all pretty cool though, it looks like the slotted front inlet could replaced with the std ProS one and vice versa, I wonder what the slots would do in comparison to the ProS one...
  19. oh wow, how good would that be, a direct bolt on turbo then eh, able to make 290rwkw with awesome response... thats cool... now do the std oil and water bolt up as well...
  20. that is the Pro S exhaust housing off a 2835 GT Pro S I have for sale currently
  21. it has a different exhaust housing, port shapes and different exhaust flange, as well as the slotted comp inlet... does the kit come with a HKS dump and is it a split dump design?
  22. well I must admit Im yet to drive it in the dry, so I couldnt actually get past 4500rpm today... (maybe that is saying something) but as soon as its dry I'll take on a favourite road and see what happens... I guess it'll become a traction game eventually... I want instant power basically, so I can control the car with my foot, not just foot down waiting for power to hit...
  23. I was able to find the turbo brand new with gaskets and studs for sale heaps cheap (like cheaper than a 3071 would be) in the for sale section... Hopefully I can get it to achieve full boost by 3500rpm and bring the whole curve on earlier... maybe play with the VVT as well..
  24. thanks for the comments Dale, I'll play with some small changes and if they dont get me the on boost response Im wanting I'll look at another actuator... Its all about response for me, top end power is good, but response is better...
