  1. I did give the tuner a manual turbotech boost control bleed valve, and he tried that and it made boost control worse... I'll play with wastegate preload and boost control gain on the PFC and see what happens....

  3. yep its on a dyno dynamics, Im keen to get home now and try the gain change
  4. ok Im convinced time to move onto other things (of course checking the boost control gain first), like installing all of the CF Ive got coming, and rip through the masses of tyres Ive accumulated for destruction...
  5. Yeah I want mine to come on boost like that... I'll try changing the gain and see, although its going to hard to tell the difference without hitting the dyno again, $300 for a tune touch-up yesterday doesnt exactly make me want to keep seeing improvements on the dyno printouts.
  6. I agree, any ideas on what could help the response and get a flatter boost line? I expected it to ramp up smoothly and a tad steeper. and whats with the dip at 4800-5400rpm???
  7. yep its the .6 housing for sure... here are the dyno charts, if anyone has any critic please comment... Havnt had a good drive of it yet, but it feels good and thats the main thing. and this time I got rmp, power & afr, easier to read.

Well all the reading and research lead me to believe this was the best choice turbo for response vs power, the tuner believes the turbo is too small, but maybe he thinks Im chasing power beyond the 2835s range, I would of been happy with 275-285rwkw tbh, which I thought the turbo was well able to do, much less and it would be in gtrs rhelms really wouldnt it... I cant wait to post dyno sheets and see what people think... Im eager to see afr's myself
  10. Finally got the car back in for another tune with adjustment made to the wastegate... now making 290rwkw, I'll post the dyno sheet once I pick them up... this time the dyno print should have rpm, boost & afr for a better overview...

A few things for sale that have been sitting in the garage since upgrades. all part are located on the central coast NSW and can be picked up or listed prices are plus delivery HKS2835 ProS turbo, done approx 15,000Ks, performed with no issues when installed, this was a spare. comes with exhaust flange for making a dump and a range of new studs, no fin damage at all, has the std HKS actuator. $1500 VH45 throttle body, larger than standard $80 r34 standard Turbo, came off car with 67000Ks, in good condition comes with std oil water lines and elbow - $350 rb25 camcovers - $70 Braided oil & water lines, the return water line has a fitting to fit onto a barb or pipe end for easy install never used, come with a few adapters to fit different turbos. - $90 Pink labelled r33 Series 2 AFM, replaced due to upgrade - $90 r33 Series 2 Fuel pump, replaced due to upgrade - $70 r33 Series 2 boost solenoid - $40 2x -12 threaded weld on fittings - 2 sets one steel one alloy - $20 per set unused 2x -12 braided line fittings to fit rb25 cam covers - bought from Tuffrx3 on these forums - $40 unused 2x 1m lengths of rubber hose 3-4mm, unused - $7 each r33 series 2 std turbo, blown front bearing, good for hiflow comes with oil and water lines and elbow - $60 2 silicon and 1 rubber hose joiners, used one from std throttle body the other two std intercooler pipe size $4 each rb25 series 2 std intake manifold and top and bottom, removed for upgrade - $130 r33 series 2 std SMIC includes all piping - $50 r33 short shifter kit, bought from ebay never attempted install - $25 possible swap parts in good condition r33 series 2 drivers door console panel no switches r33 series 2 horns r33 series 2 boot plastic that goes over latch area

  16. I design and produce vinyl graphics for street, track & race cars, and not crappy off the shelf type stuff, this is full custom designed to suit the style of the car and owner... www.metal-ink.net generally though if your after cheap, it will look cheap... do it once do it right...

  18. well all that being said, go the HKS 2835 GT ProS... with full front facing plenum, FMIC, 3.5: all through exhaust no cat, 800cc + injectors on e85 tune... then just pay for tyres...
  19. no fuel reg needed if upgrading injectors... 3071r will do more, do a search for it on here heaps of people have them.... and yeah stock manifold..
  20. stock highflow would be cheaper to reach 240rwkw, hypergear do some good highflow stuff and can steer you with which one... 3071r will do it too... need an ecu, I dont recommend piggybacks... PoweFC is my recommendation but others will suggest nistune cause its cheaper and I hear does the job... injectors possibly, 740cc will be overkill, SR20 JDM injectors or 500cc, you could possibly get away with the stockers with a fuel pressure bump... I'll recommend new injectors though, get a new fuel pump as well of course... and then onto boost control... its starting to rack up huh.... do the installs yourself to save a heap though... then when your finished you get the mod bug and want more power... so plan ahead maybe...

  23. isnt there also a temperature factor to take into account as hotter air moves faster so if you were to wrap the exhaust somewhat you get faster exit of exhaust gases or does that get cancellled out due to air density changes???
  24. was the exhaust leak at teh manifold, turbo, dump or lower???? I wouldnt have thought an exhaust leak would do this..???
