  1. if you over tighten I would be more worried about actually just splitting the whole nut, been there done that... then you need to drill out the stud to get it off... Ive had no troubles at all since I got a decent torque wrench to use on them...
  2. Id advise deleting the spreadsheet of car associated costs... it will become painful one day... lol
  3. oh please dont mention those words 'adding up cost' thats just too scary to think about... Bring on the new headlights...
  4. I know nothing about auto electrics but sounds like it would be the go for sure.... ok so who wants to either test that out or wire mine up for me with some new lights in the footwells...??? lol...
  5. ok thats some nice lighting...^^^^ ddoes anyone know how to make interior lights fade on and off, my Navara D40 does it and its kinda nice... Id like my footwells in the 33 to do that, just some subtle lighting not coloured or anything just on door open
  6. isnt it missing a mounting point? you can see the glue mark were the mount should be.
  7. Well Im in cause PSI parts have my stockers for moulds... the lights look ugly as with no covers
  8. Im going to have a go at this too as soon as I get another set of lenses. If I have any luck I will let you know... I think it will just be about finding the right man for the job of cutting/shaping/manipulating that damn lense.
  9. Thanks for the explanation so normal globe for highbeams.... and a HID kit for lowbeams either bosch or another
  10. umm I know nothing about projectors and HIDs so I have to ask... there would be a projector lense for low beam and that uses a globe of some sort Im guessin? what sort of globe is that? and this is all part of the conversion isnt it? then the HID kit would be for the high beam? is that correct? and it sounds like any HID kit can be used, so does that mean people would usually buy two HID kits so they can do both low and high beam? so is the bosch a really good HID kit or would one bought through NYTSKY (Dave) be a good alternative over the bosch that can be part of the headlight conversion... Please correct me if Im confused...
  11. What about using a metal extension piece so the clip into part sits higher and is more accessible, I have a similar problem using sparco full buckets...
  12. Good to hear its progressing... What exactly is the difference with or without the Bosch HID kit? I know pretty much nil about HIDs etc, so simple answer is very acceptable...
  13. try a tube socket, thinner walled...
  14. or do nothing and not risk having a bodgy job done and save even more money for nice jap rims...
  15. unfortunately there's not much you can do other than make friends with all your neighbours and they will end up looking out for you.... Im not into damaging their car, Id be tempted to wreck them though, it wont get you anywhere, it'll just cause more retaliation... video surveillance catching them in the act would be priceless...
  16. get them fixed up gutter rash removed, sandblast and powdercoat in silver... but are they worth it... keep in mind you have to pay for removal of tyres from rims, take em to a wheel repairer, then onto a powdercoater then back to the tyre place to get the old tyres put back on... Im guessing $500
  17. Oh, thats not good, what bad timing...
  18. let me know where to send them....
  19. I would be willing to lend him mine, but obviously I would need a guarantee of getting it back in good condition... and possibly postage costs off final product...
  20. Im keen too... pending price of course...
  21. where abouts in syd? when were you wanting to do it? its pretty easy as long as you have some basic tools
  22. well I though all headlight lenses were tempered or hardened for a safety issue, so it shatters and doesnt smash in shards...
  23. Im pretty sure it would be toughened or temptered glass and this wont grind well I would of thought, its made to shatter into many pieces on impact..
