  1. Id cut a gasket yourself, I cut gaskets when I can get away with it for sure......
  2. Ive never looked at the price of Willwood before but thought for sure they would be up there in price, definitely not that cheap, like thats easily affordable as a brake upgrade... I was almost expecting AP caliper prices... thanks for posting that one....
  3. thats looking great, can't wait to see final photos.... so much work gone into it...
  4. Yep pics of setup using the PCV as a return would be great..
  5. hey, Im sure charles does quite a good job at what he does, its the product I have my issue with...
  6. those parts you supplied to charles do sound a bit dodgey... its not miracle film its fake carbon look with adhesive on the back
  7. Yep I think its crap... because Ive seen what this type of stuff turns out like... and what happens to it down the track... I've played with different vinyl products for years and I know what works and what happens after its been used a while, how do I know? because Ive worked for companies who have done extensive weather, UV and solvent testing on an array of vinyl products. To tell people its fantastic and that it is the best stuff is simply an opinion, my opinion is that its crap. Im simply not happy with things that are second or third rate being called awesome... This is a cosmetics section for car enthusiasts, if you want to make money of them then go for it, but people should really be told what the down sides of this type of product are.
  8. and it looks like you've covered your parts in a pin stripe suit material... which will wrinkle with age and will look cheap and tacky.. Doesnt look like any carbon fibre Ive ever seen, CF usually has a clear coating doesnt it...?
  9. and there doesnt look to be any rub marks, it would be noticeable if its rubbing there...

    Emergency!

call the police so they can secure it at least, Id hate it to be mine as well... they can do a rego search and let the owner know... god I hate thieves... hate hate hate kill kill kill
  11. ummm thats because you sell it...
  12. if you get decent quality stuff that has no texture it will be fine, clear coating wont be needed and wont stop if from fading, if its good quality they should supply an direct sun outdoor lifespan. if vinyl is decent quality it should not peel off... I personally would never use carbon film, as I dont believe the carbon look will last, its just printed on, where as solid colour vinyl will keep its colour for years as its the actual colour of the material not a colour printed on white vinyl or anything like that. Go real carbon, they its guaranteed to look good and wont be an issue in the future.
  13. Are you talking about like vinyl decal type material? www.spandex.com.au
  14. Am I reading that dyno printout right in that its saying you'll get 1800Nm????
  15. dump the pins & go aerocatch latches...
  16. I dont have experience with ceramic used in turbos, but I can add that the mining industry use ceramic in place of steel and other hard metals as wear plates, because it lasts longer in abrasive envrionments and is better at handling adhesion to metal with heavy impacts. I worked with a guy who study ceramic composition for years and he was making all sorts of things out of a ceramic to replace titanium and steel because of heat, wear & shock resistance to a degree... so I can imagine there would be many uses for ceramic in place of steel and other metals...
  17. thanks for the reply. isnt the GTR BOV a plumb back which goes into the pipe after the AFM before the turbo... if thats the case where do you run the plumbing to get back to the hot side. I hope Im understadning this right.
  18. any info is good, even if you want to point me to threads that I couldnt find...
  19. So I have a R.I.P.S front facing plenum to install and of course a host of other parts including a brand new turbo (oh I cant wait), and I will need to relocate the position of the BOV, I can either use the stock BOV over on the turbo side and run a vacuum line back to the plenum (annoying) or I can run a HKS atmo BOV I have and install it on the intake side just out of sight on the IC piping and run a short vacuum line to the plenum (cleaner)... So which should I do? and I have read some of the threads on this but where do most people run the vacuum line back the plenum where it is neat and tidy? and either way where do I find a flange to weld in? The stock flange I could cut out of the cross over pipe and use I guess but its alloy and the IC piping is stainless, is that a problem? new flange would be preferable.
  20. there are heaps of way to recover data off HDDs... HHHEEEAAAPPPSSS!!!! as for the original thread problem, could it be the MBR (Master Boot Record) on the drive is corrupted somehow... take it back to as simple as you can get, primary drive on a simple setup and see if can be CHKDSK'd start simple work your way up...
  21. R.I.P.S in NZ have built an r34 drag car with the turbo half sticking out of the bonnet and have a duct that goes directly to the turbo inlet, you can see the turbo, its like right there spinning away... These guys have built a fair few cars and mostly drag, so they might know what they are doing...
