I don't like the crappy mesh I usually find the last mesh I got to protect my FMIC was stainless steel from security supplies place...

I have sparco rims that had the same finish on them from factory, and they were a lacquer. I blasted them and powder coat. I reckon the powder coat suggested by craved would be sweet but not worth the money possibly... and the anodizing would not be as hard wearing and would also cost alot... anodized alloy scratches easily

are they actually anodized from factory, I think you may find it is a lacquered blue finish.

Yes I've used them, good communication and supprt, they gave me a refund on delivery charges as their delivery quotes are probably a tad on the safe side so they give you back the difference, fairly good searchable site with Yahoo Jap auctions... Good packaging job.. I actually don't have anything bad to say... although you want good stuff from japan just be prepared to pay for the delivery, but you can find stuff going for real cheap sometimes.

you can get little globe covers from auto shops in green, blue & red, I've seen them at autobarn as an example... I might do this as well... but it depends on the globe size and how accessible it is?

Interest is good, the more the better in fact, since I feel it may cost a bit if numbers are low. But you know what we really need, is a sample headlight or someone in their area for them to get a look at a headlight off a series 2... somebody, anybody...

Out of curiosity I started making some inquiries about geting new lenses fabricated for r33s2 headlights. Since r32s have their clear lenses it got me thinking. One company has asked to see the lense to give a quote, of course for this to work it would end up being a group buy and it would need to have alot of buyers, cause at a guess it wont exactly be cheap, but I'm keen to find out. It would end up being a completely clear plastic lense. probably be a vaccum formed plastic. Does anyone in Sydney have a series 2 headlight lense or headlight spare that we can show them for quoting purposes? If your out Yennora way and have some interest you could even maybe just take them your series2 33 and show them on-car possibly. This could be a waste of time but I'm keen to find out. I'm on the central coast so getting there during business hours is a rare opportunity. Here's a monitor housing they have done.

10K for the body work, you reckon, hell just the fibreglass or aftermarket pieces would cost a bundle...

start by lifting an edge, remove the stripe by pulling it back on itself, go slow be careful or you may get chips of paint coming off with the stripe, you can try heating it a little whilst removing to help release the glue, after its removed give it a polish where the decal was. I've done it a few times usually very good success, a hairdryer for heating works well...

I've even seen photos on ebay auctions of the seat sitting in front of a mountain of bride branded boxes even with certificate of authentification sitting on the seat and when ask if they really were true "Bride"seats they said no... Just be careful... if its too good to be true it probably isn't...

so it looks like the lense has been removed form the housing at some stage and wasn't put back together right and is missing the metal clamp. solution either get another headlight or take it apart and reseal it again trying to find a replacement metal clamp...
