  1. Engines with an AFM will usually be more driveable and have better fuel economy. Depends how far you want to go... If your not going to change the turbo and what to keep it fairly driveable, go the PowerFC. The older Microtechs give poor fuel economy but make good power. I don't know if the newer models are any better.
  2. craz0: I thought that AT computer from Buddy Club was for modifying the automatic transmission management. EG: Faster shifts, holding gears for longer... Similar to the power button but with more flexibility... OR, is it similar to the Buddy Club engine management but with extra features for the Auto? Has anyone tried a Power FC just out of interest? Maybe it works? If not, the symptoms may help with diagnosing a solution....
  3. Thanks mate... Was a bit confused... So the business name is "Keith for Wheels" then.
  4. Keith? Care to elaborate a little? I'm looking too!
  5. Nup, no skidpan action as yet... Just had a few hairy moments with lift off oversteer when running mega camber on the front with 14" retreads and 13" steelies with 165's on the back! Binned that setup real quick. If you don't catch it or have too much speed it just does a 180 and you end up facing backwards... Not something you want to try in traffic Have to update the kill list too. Lent it to me mate the other day. Came back bragging about the older WRX he kept up with and the Boxster he toasted??? I asked him what he was revving it to? He said oh bout 6500.... Told him it keeps pulling to 7500! Now he want to buy it!
  6. Good info Jimx... Should be helpful in the future...
  7. FWD Drift... Sooo much fun... Spun mine around a few times... Haven't hit anything yet! /touches wood
  8. Yep looks similar to GTR sump.... Why don't you just convert to a R33 Skyline GTS25T Sump if it's going to be RWD?
  9. You guys got bigger rims and tyres? Could be fouling on the plastic inner guards...
  10. Programmable management will see you past 200rwkws IMO.... If you've got the fuel to support it that is... Fuel pump is a good next step.
  11. In my younger days we used to stop and ask hitchhikers and drunken stragglers if they want a lift.. They go "Oh yes please" and start walking over. We go, "Thought so" and take off... As mean as this is I also manage to piss myself laughing for bout 2-3 minutes at the violence that is shown from these types...
  12. Sounds good... $20 is a great price! Do we just show up on the day or should we ring and make appointments?
  13. Cool sounds sweet! Mine is an AE82 CS Seca with 4AGE 100kw engine conversion from an AE92 Gti... Engine, Gearbox, Struts, Brakes, ECU, the lot...... All done in a carport, by myself, ghetto style... 15" Alloys, CD Stacker, Lowered springs, and two of the biggest damn horns you ever seen.... Off a Leyland bus or sumthin? Solid Engine Mounts, K&N Pod, Straight thru exhaust... Ridiculously fast for a Corolla, not sure how fast it is down the 1/4 tho... Can't bring myself to take it, keep on taking the Skyline Eats a BA XR6 (non turbo) Ute tho... EDIT: Come to think of it, it's flogged a stock UZZ31 Soarer with the 1UZFE V8, a VN SS Commodore with Exhaust...
  14. 33 Auto Skylines have a Auto ECU in the drivers kickpanel... Unsure about the number of wires coming from the Engine ECU tho...

  16. Post a pic of the wiring and we might be able to help...
  17. Thats ok I guess.. Was expecting it to be more to be honest.. That is Aussie dollars tho innit... Not Euro or Pounds? The latest Motor mag has an Alpine full page add about it but I guess that don't mean its here does it...
  18. Fhrx: Ballpark figure for the new Alpine IVA-D900R if ya know... Who am I kidding? I can't afford anything ATM...
  19. The ECU should have a tacho signal but sometimes finding the ECU is a bitch let alone stabbing at it with a multimeter to find the tacho wire... Your call..
  20. Checked the compression? Radiator fluid for oil... Sounds head gaskety IMO...
  21. Ooops thats a long story innit...
  22. I stopped on Friday arvo to help out some misfortunates. I always try to stop as noone seems to anymore? Floored it left onto wardoo st heading west on nerang-southport rd. Next intersection at corporate express I see a yellow bike lying on the road with fuel pissing out everywhere and a new pulsar in the middle of the road... Noone to be seen? Hang a U-Turn and pull up thinking this is gunna be messy... Run over. Yellow bike is a Ducati! Chick in her late 20's is trying to lift it. "Who's Duke is it" "Mine" she says. "You own a Duke" I say. She goes "Yeah!" I point at Pulsar and say "and she hit it" She goes "YEAH!" I shake my head and ask if she is ok. She is... Chick was full of adrenaline and couldn't switch the fuel tap off or remember how to get it into neutral. So I did that and pushed it over to the footpath.. We stared at the bike for a bit lamenting about the scratches, checking if it could still be riden, etc before I remember the Pulsar in the middle of the road... Ooops... Wait here I say. Run over and point the Pulsar driver in the direction of the footpath... She rolls it over. I tap on the passenger window and the driver opens the door... Older lady in her late 30's is bawling her eyes out and shaking like a leaf... Tell her everything is OK... Noone is hurt and thats what is important... Spot a youngun in the back.. Ask him if he is OK. Says "I got a Ninga Turtle today!" Cool... Then the Pulsars horn goes off. Doesn't stop. Give me the keys I say... Lady can't find em.. Still bawling and shaking and telling me this is her first accident. Grab the keys and press the button a few times. Horn still going off. Pop the bonnet I say.. Lady cant find the bonnet release. Can't open her door cause she can't work out how to unlock it! Slides over to the passenger side! I run around, open the door and pop the bonnet and flick the wire off the horn.. Quiet at last... Now we can think... Bike rider walks over and the two girls hug and thank their lucky stars... Pulsar driver asks if the car can be driven.. I start her up and all seems ok. No panel damage, just some scratches... Turns out it wasn't a big impact but the bike rider had to bail once she got hit! Ask Pulsar lady if I can call someone for her. She calls her hubby on my mobile... Grabs a piece of paper, writes her name and address down (still crying).. Asks what else she needs to write down. Tell her to write her phone number, rego, and drivers licence no... Ask them if there is any thing else I can do... Ladys both seem OK now so hand em both a business card and tell em to call if there is anything else I can do... Got the "I don't know what I would have done without you!" from the older lady. Tell her to stop at the pub on the way home and get a bottle of red wine... Remind them that the important thing is that noone was hurt, especially the young fella in the back, run over to my car, jump in, pull another Uey and floor it back up the road... So thats my good deed for the month... I guess the moral of the story is that it's important that the Ducati wasn't seriously damaged
  23. I could be wro... wro.. not right... But I thought the ecu backed the timing off based on the inputs from the knock sensor... ie: over time, if it senses detonation, it will record a timing setting in the ECU and all the maps will run slightly less timing. I don't understand how a physical knock sensor could be reset. It's like one wire isn't it?? Please explain
  24. 1:03 from Mick is a great effort... Shows what the car is capable of... I'm not looking forward to getting old/er
