i've driven both the caprice and ss and can tell you they are a lot better in person. ss has optional 20's that look tough as. the handling is a giant leap above what they have at the moment. i gave the ss some sh*t and it's got balls. heaps of low down torque with top end revs. the interior is awesome. i'll never buy one but i'm impressed with the product they're putting out. it's a world class car for a world market. don't expect many people to order the fusion interior though. makes you wanna puke. that's my 2cents worth

Review: Fitted Strut Brace Today
igota33 replied to MANWHOR3's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
cool review. i've been very seriously thinking of purchasing a strut brace this week. i'm running stiffer springs with standard shocks and wanted to reduce body roll. out of interest, which brace did you go for? Price? i will be fitting coilovers in the next month or so. any recommendations? was think of the new trust ones when they're released. also looking at tein & D2. anyone have any suggestions on a strut brace and coilovers? cheers craig -
sorry for the late reply. thanks for the help guys. those levels seem to be correct^^^ car runs sweet as now. if anyone isn't running redline lightweight shockproof oil in their gearbox, go out and buy some. it's expensive but only gets changed once in the gearboxes lifetime and you'll definately notice the difference. i am amazed.

cheers. any idea on diff. got 2L. hope it's enough.
-
tried a search but it took too long. i saw it about 2 weeks ago.
-
as title states, need the volumes of oil for engine , gearbox and diff. went out and got all my oil, thought it might make it easier if i new factory amounts(in L please). r33 series 1. cheers in advance, craig

ken, you are the man. you just saved me between $120 and $160 for a 2nd hand one. that was the problem exactly. the hardest part was pulling it apart. took me about 5 mins all up to fix, and that included warming up the soldering iron. very easy to do. should've taken photos and turned it in to a tutorial. sounds like a common problem. thanks heaps for the help mate Craig

no worries mate. i'll give it a try

as the title states, i'm after a power window regulator for an r33. it's the black box under the door trim that has wires going to it from the power window buttons. give me a price people. i'm in adelaide. will pay freight
-
i now have the window up. i hooked up an old car battery to the motor and got it up so my problem lies with the black plastic electrical regulator that's under the door trim. anyone got one for sale?
-
driving to work yesterday and went to put the drivers window up and it just didn't want to go. this has happened a bit lately and normally i just hit the door trim and it goes up. this time, though, it didn't. i've removed the trim and tried to help it up. put a bit of wd40 on the tracks but still no. when i push the button for it to go up, the regulator ticks but nothing happens. is it common for r33 s1 regulators to go or even the motor? got quoted $120 for the regulator and $295 for the motor assembly. was expecting about $50 for the regulator. anyone got one for sale? what do you think i should do?

Signs Of A Faulty Tps? (throttle Position Sensor)
igota33 replied to lows_13's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
what is your problem? why do you think you have a problem with your tps? -
just an update. wasn't an oil problem. it was the engine light coming on cos of knock sensor. cat is disintergrating and pieces are flying around inside making loud noise. nothing major thank god.

Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results
igota33 replied to Nacho Vidal's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
good thread. some interesting results. thought i'd post. R33 gts-t s1 rebuilt motor(approx 20000km ago) fully balanced bottom end arc forged pistons(safe power) tomei 1.5mm metal head gasket stock turbo @ 1bar(upgrading very soon) 3" turbo back exhaust with cat k&n podfilter blitz fmic sequential bov turbosmart e-boost2@ 9,12 & 14.4psi(excellent boost controller. highly recommend) power fc(just installed) tuned by morpowa in sa(enclosed dyno with air con & exhaust extraction. very experienced) 213.7rwkw@1bar need new fuel pump, injectors(running 97% duty at the moment) and of course turbo aiming for 280-300rwkw. should be no problem p.s. post graph soon -
took the car to morpowa monday. couldn't have been more helpful. most probably cat converter giving out and sounds similar to pinging as pieces are flying around inside. knock sensor picked up noise as it travelled through ehhaust. no major problem. idle problem sorted. thanks for everyones help. p.s. there is no connection on tps on the side of it. it's for an auto. you were correct. cheers
-
definately pinging. clearly audible. knock sensor picking up reading of 90 until i realised and haven't driven it hard since.
-
i've heard a lot of good things about morpowa. i think i'll ring em tomorrow and find out what's going on. i just wanna boost hard. that's why i bought it. i hate having problems with cars. why would those wires be missing? i can't figure it out. could idling issues be related to tps not being connected properly. timing is all over the place at the moment. goes from 20deg to max 45 deg. i think the signal from tps is not being received by computer as there are no connecting wires. thanks for your input. any idea of a good turbo upgrade. looking at a trust t51

car tuned at morpowa in adelaide. the car is a 5 sp. manual. others on sa forum believe it should be connected. don't know what to do???
-
i've only just bought the car and got the pfc and boost controller fitted straight away. got fmic, forgies, metal head gasket, 3" turbo back, e-boost 2 9,12 & 14.5psi, air filter etc. the problem occurs ater boosting and i take my foot off of the accelerator and continue to roll. i also get fluctuating idle rpm sometimes, high idle when stopping then it gradually comes down to about 700rpm. had no problem b4 pfc fitting? i have no idea where wires are. can't speak to morpowa until monday. only got car back. apparently they had problems fitting my pfc and had it a few extra days. i think they killed the wires somehow and are now waiting for replacement wiring. sounds fishy too me. anyone had problems with morpowa?
-
tuned at morpowa. did pay around 500-600 mark for tuning. if you look at the picture of the tps, should that plug on the right side of it be connected to something? i believe it should be giving a signal to the computer of which position the throttle is at. if its not doing this, could that cause my problem. thanks for replying.

here is a picture of my tps. the plug on the side is blank ie. not connected to anything. i don't think this is normal and is causing my problem. my tuner has given my fuel pump constant power because he's 'waiting on a part from japan' and said there was a problem but is ok to drive. he's pretty reputable in adelaide but i think they've either killed the wiring somehow and need to replace it or i have no idea. no connection to my computer from the side plug would not give a throttle position reading? am i correct? i'm a relatively newbie to skylines and think my tuner is taking me for a ride.
