Hi, the car has been smoking for a while under high boost, would have a large blackish cloud visible in the rear view mirror. recently the car has started smoking on idle and low boost with a slightly blueish colour and a loss in performance (Barely builds any boost at all) though I haven't reved it past 4krpm since I noticed the heavier smoke. I'm suspecting the turbo seals are almost gone. I have had a look at the turbo inlet and there is oil residue and it's quite a lot by my limited understanding there was also slight amount of oil in the inter cooler piping maybe half a teaspoon full at the bottom of one of the elbows. I have also removed the turbo oil feed and idled the car to see if it will still smoke... there was less smoke but it's hard to tell this way as from what i understand the seal is not getting pushed out at idle due to the lack of pressure and it would take some time to burn the remaining oil in the turbo. PS I did not rev the engine past idle speed without oil in the bearing. The turbo is a Blitz K5 660ps there is zero shaft play (by hand). I have spotted slight oil under the exhaust housing but have not removed the turbo for a better look yet. The boost controller is a bleed valve and not electronically controlled. What I would like to know is what my next best move would be, I'm thinking of simply removing the turbo and sending it off for a rebuild (seals changed) http://img23.imageshack.us/i/p1010625resized.jpg/ <--- photo of the intake Appreciate any input on this problem thanks

Its time to let her go I purchased it in February 2006 from James (Whisla) of this board. It had 158,000km on it and i have only added 17,000km to that. Dyno showed 300rwkw. Was told it could use a EBC as it's just running a T piece. Can organize a dyno run as i didn't keep the graph when doing the tune-up -Still has same tyres but will need to be changed for RWC Selling with RWC This is an awesome car I have always received nothing but complements. I have had trouble removing the rear seats, the clip is jammed on the part you sit on...is there a special way of undoing it? Thought i might ask before getting out the crowbar.

One of my spitfire coils fried, Im guessing i can use a standard S2 coil to replace it, would prefer to buy a single spitfire but if no one wants to sell a single i might have better luck with a standard one?? Thank You
