Man I wish I had broadband, ahh well. The memories are good

Ok, just a couple more comments on the systems I have seen: The Tisonics one has a digital tilt sensor option for preventing wheel theft. It calibrates itself each time the car is armed to prevent false triggering. I very much like the idea of this feature to prevent anyone floggin my rims. Any other systems that have this feature would be of great interest. George at Adelaide Prosound's greatest claim when I saw him the second time was that he's 'never had a car stolen or towed away'. Can anyone vouch for this? It's a big claim, but if he can set them up that good however well there has to be something going for him on the installation side of things.

Hi everyone. Thankyou to you all for coming along to what will hopefully be the the first of many regular SAU social events. I'm sorry to hear there was another accident on this cruise, hope all is well. I wasn't actually there myself as I actually drove down Gorge road (I think there may have to be some rules as far as designated leaders is concerned), every one else went down the Adelaide - Manuum Road.

Thanks for the info so far guys. Did like what I saw with george & his systems, biggest thing for me is as soon as you want to option up the autowatch system the dollars start stacking up big time. Will look into the others too, but still keep him in mind.

Hi guys, I'm shopping for an upgrade to my alarm/immobiliser system from the one that was installed on my car when I bought it & would appreciate a few opinions of different places & systems people have had put in their car. As far as places are concerned: Strathfield is OUT, crap alarms & installation Tonkins I'm doubtfull is much better & same goes for AutoBahn. Complete Audio is only mediocre (Had my stereo system fitted there, not impressed) I have also looked at: Adelaide Pro Sound (Seems like a good installer) autowatch systems Tisonics (Not quite as sure about the install, but the product does look good) Own brand Ming (Don't seem too concerned about the customer) steal stopper Opinions for other places as well as these would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Well now you & I both know why I suggested that you post this idea up . As for info it should have been in the PM that I sent everyone, if you didn't get it then ask me. All other info is in my first post. DO NOT PUT DETAILS UP HERE!! Sorry Madaz hadn't seen your last post before I wrote this, sent you a PM

Nup carpark's full , will give you a PM

Yes unfortunantely I wasn't aware of it at the time I set up this, so I guess people will just have to choose what they prefer to attend.

Don't worry mate, even I've only met a few of the guys, & it seems a lot that are going are in the same boat. But that's what this is all about, getting to meet new people with a common interest. It's shaping up to be a really big day for all to enjoy.
-
Thanks to everyone who's let me know what they're doing so far. There are still a lot of people to get back to me though. Could those people please let me know asap, as I may have to reduce my estimate of numbers if many of you are not turning up. Cheers everyone

Hybrid Red Skyline Intercooler Kit $599 [flyn], Only 3 Left.
J_Red33 replied to [FLYN]'s topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
Hey I'm seriously interested in one of these kits. I won't be able to arrange transfer before monday afternoon, but I do have the money (was gonna buy a bush kit, but now I see this....) Do you have to cut a hole in the drivers side of the engine bay for the pipe to come through? & do you have to cut out any of the stock bumper? It's to fit a R33 S2. Only things I'm wary about on the DIY side of fitting it. -
Yeah $1200 is why Nissans normally went to petro-ject to get faulty ones rebuilt rather than get new (customer goes bunta). Hope it's all soughted anyway.

Just something to note guys, I wouldn't want to spend too much on a second hand ignitor, because there is a good chance that it will fail again in a fairly short timeframe, I've seen this kind of thing happen countless times. If you don't want to risk having another failure, head down to petro-ject to get your's rebuilt (or if you're lucky you can swap it for one that already is). They put their own design circuit board with very robust ignition components in it & you get a 2 year warranty. It won't be cheap I'm sure (at least $300 like nisswreck), but if it does fail they will look after you. My 2 cents

R33 Gtst S2 Garage Cleanout
J_Red33 replied to ax53b70p25's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I'm interested in one of the door trims, you don't have the housing for the door handle/power console with it do you? -
Yeah I did know that, as that's what's in my instrument cluster, my ash tray & key barrel, looks good

Are you sure you couldn't find these at somewhere like supercheap? Are they the same type of globe that's used for the ashtray light?

Yeah I'm keen, have got an exhaust & slight increase in boost on mine, so I'd be curious just to see where it stands at the moment. I'll give you the deposit at the social -
Oh 1 thing I forgot to point out people about the ale house. If we go there we'll be in a courtyard area as the bar will not be big enough obviously & if we have enough numbers we'll get the area to ourselves.
-
Yeah I'll leave it up to the voters to decide rather than overrule it now. The only reason I may change the venue is if we can not get in to the most popular one at close of votes. If a majority appears beforehand I will make the booking, at the moment though it's pretty even.
-
Really if people want to come they will request a PM. I'd rather people that are actually going to come to vote, rather than letting everyone vote only for half of them not to turn up, & then the people that do turn up to complain they wanted the other joint. I also don't want 20 unaccounted for people rocking up & then we find out we don't have enough room or something stupid. So the idea is to keep everything as in control as possible . It'll save a lot of heartache for me later.
-
Haha it's ok, you don't have to do it . Not a bad suggestion though. If anyone else know's they will be coming & can easily get ahold of a deacent labelling machine or label printer it would be handy though. Will keep this in mind if I get time.
-
This is not such a bad idea, as there will be a tonne of people there I don't know & just to confuse everyone I've changed my username (it was Electro). Have you nominated yourself for the job Deluxe???

Ok just a quick update for those who are wondering. I've contacted all three places and am awaiting their response. I will be PM'ing everyone with details of each place & what they are voting for within the next couple of days, so keep an eye on ur mail. After the location of the meal is soughted out. Then it will be time to start planning the cruise. This may require a bit of input as far as roads are concerned & how far people want to travel, but first we will require a general direction people want to go (Specific suggestions of roads by PM only please). Anyhow more info will come to hand in the next few days. Please note that I will not be posting up on here any of the final details so if you have not put your name down & are interested please either post ur interest or preferably PM me. Cheers

Mmmm not sure if I've seen those 1's before. Do the globes actually pull out of the holder? If they do they're just the grain of rice globes you should be able to pick up nearly anywhere, can't quite tell from the pic. They don't look original since they are blue, don't know any nissans that use blue dash lighting.
