  1. Yeah I noticed my car's been conveniently skipped too. Not enough rice prehaps Personally I don't give a toss, ricing isn't my style, but I can appreciate the work done to a number of the cars in autosalon too (our group inclusive). When it makes a car totally useless, then I can't understand.
  2. Send me a PM too please Cara. Was asked about the NS cruise but I'll probably do this 1 instead since we aren't advertising our location.
  3. Could I please change my name to J_Red33?
  4. I've now got these on the fronts (also 235/40/18) after having Yokahama S306 tyres & they have totally transformed my cars handling. They turn in & grip a lot better dry & wet, give more feel & also less bump steer & ride smoother. They're even more forgiving on the limit (yes I have found it more than once) as they will just start to slide & not just let go like some high peformance tyres. I was totally amazed at how much of a change they made. Unsure if I will put them on the back yet too. Scared of the price that 255's or 265 are for them since 235's were $350. Will have to find out. Interested in the RS2's though, I want more grip than the K104's which I may comment haven't really lasted very well either. So that could mean I may as well have the Yokies which I've previously had good experience with wear on.
  5. Thanks very much to all of you guys & for accepting me in so late in the piece, I had a great weekend. I was happy just to have my car entered let alone win anything as a group. Congrats to Cara too for winning the award for best Vynils. A big thanks also to PK & Flick for doing the majority of the designing, organising & running around beforehand. Your efforts are what got us there. Cheers, Jared
  6. This is actually probably all I need. Not sure now if I'm going to get time to get it fixed before the autosalon now. Had a couple of set backs preparing the car so this may be the only way I can get it soughted in time. Will give this guy a call, sounds like he can get the job done for a deacent price. Thankyou all for you help, greatly appreciated.
  7. Bugger I've been looking at buying one of these, surprised they don't have instructions in english for it yet. Not sure what information you are after, but the EZ II appears to have the same boost module so it may point you in the right direction if you don't have it soughted already.
  8. Haha you must have seen me coming Sean, that didn't take you long
  9. Hi there guys & girls, With Autosalon not far away I'm in the middle of fixing a few fine details before my car goes into the show, one of which is some minor sun damage on the top of my drivers side door trim. Not having had any interior repairs before I'm unsure who to go to. I have had one friend recommend Spencer P W Motor trimmers, but I would like some other opinions too. If any of you could recommend some one that you or a friend have had experience with it would be appreiciated. Cheers, Jared
  10. Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they got bugger all for it, no wonder some people take the law into their own hands these days........
  11. Changing the O2 sensor has to be one of the easiest things to do on your car. Can't really see it being any harder on the Stagea either. Just to be safe make sure give the seal a squirt with something like RP7 or WD40 before attemping to remove it, & whatever you do don't drop the new 1!
  12. Bugger my car's in for repairs at the moment. Don't think I'll be able to make it
  13. Yeah I have been there the last couple of weeks to get fuel, on a Tuesday though not Sunday. I do vaugely remember seeing an SP23 there. The rims I've got are pretty rare & yeah I have a full stainless exhaust done by ET with twin tips so it was almost definantly me. Glad you liked it
  14. If you count my car as riced it's served in small amounts & raw, not even my exhaust stands out as being modified. I guess it doesn't qualify then when it comes to their requirements.
  15. Was going to finish touching up a few things on my 33 to make it almost show room condition. Guess there's no point in rushing out to get it done if all spots are spoken for though.
  16. Well changed my thermostat a week ago & ironically, the rubber seal on the thermostat that helps the car normally get up to temperature faster was rooted. My engine has had a weak lot of coolant in it at some stage though & this may have contributed. Warms up in about 5 - 10 minutes now & no longer have problems with rich & retard on a cold night once it's warmed up properly . So unless u have aftermarket engine management & a highly tuned engine, I wouldn't bother with the lower temp thermostat. Just pouring money down the drain IMO.
  17. From threads I've read there's only one clutch that I'll be going for & that's a Jim Berry clutch. I really hope Bob the Knob is forced to sell AIR & that he gets 3/4 of stuff all for it (about all it's worth at the moment). Maybe by the time it's running I'll have a front mount intercooler, just wanna see what it does down the strip.
  18. Incident with a truck last week, my fault unfortunantely. Was in a slip lane with heavy traffic, thought he'd backed off to let me in, turned out he couldn't see me until it was too late. Costly mistake. Caved in the rear quater but it's fixable without cutting metal so could easily be a lot worse. Will get it soughted in a few weeks. May even stick it in the Auto Salon
  19. Hey Sean Just put it on there & see what you think I reckon. Wouldn't be hard to get it painted later if you change your mind
  20. I did some work experience down there many years ago. Funny how they came to mind before I got to the confirmation
  21. If I was in the market for one I'd consider it, but I don't even have an EBC yet or a front mount . Give me 6 months & I'll get back to you on that 1.
  22. Man nasty crash mate, good to hear your ok. My car got minor damage last week but at least it's drivable. I'd offer you stock rimms until you get soughted but looks like Andrew's got that 1 covered . Hope you're on the road again soon mate
  23. Hey Cubes, yeah it's been a while, was away in Europe for 5 weeks. Ran into your missus just before I went. Well I this thread activity has suddenly exploded. I ended up going to Unley Nissan today & got a genuine thermostat for $53 & FYI Cubes, the part number is 21200-42L06 It makes more sense for the thermostat to vary gradually with warm up instead of acting like a switch, I'd say that this kind of action in itself would mean that it regulates temperature better than the aftermarket ones. Going by what RB30-POWER also elaborates with the no thermostat situation, perhaps the aftermarket thermostats open up too much to keep sufficient pressure in the block for the pump. Biggest thing that made me decide to go with the stock temperature thermostat was that my car fails to get to full operating temperature even when I'm driving it hard in this cool weather. Couple that with the fact I don't even have a front mount to cool the intake charge more, & I see little need for a low temp unless I was about to rebuild my engine for a serious power upgrade. Very useful thread guys I wish more threads on here were just as informative, cheers
  24. Just thought I'd give this thread a bump as it is quite usefull, & add a few comments. I was looking at getting an ARC 68 degree thermostat but was really unsure on the need for a lower temp one. I may just get a genuine one from nissan if they are not too expensive. I went down to Autobarn to get a price on a Tridon 76 degree thermostat & they wanted virtually the same price (will have to get a couple more quotes), but if they have trouble with temp regulation I'm not so sure. I have used a Tridon thermostat before without any issues on an old 87 Telstar, but I was told one trick by a friend highly experienced in the trade & that was to pull off the little bleeder valve to the side of the main thermo valve so that there is always a bit of coolant flow. This may be all that's required to get deacent temperature regulation. However I don't know at this stage if the RB25 thermostat has this bleeder. Have to look into it though as my thermo is rooted & the car never gets to full operating temp in the cold weather unless you absolutely thrash it for quite a while. At least I know it won't overheat
  25. They have no idea how to even sell their product. They must have had a learner in there the day I walked in, as I asked about them selling whiteline stuff (which they had on display) & the guy just says 'oh I don't really no'!!! Scared me off instantly.
