  1. Yep, so pretty much all around where I live I've had a couple of run-ins with him... never did he even accuse me of doing anything stupid, just wanted to slap the yellow sticker on... The first time was for tires getting bald... fair enough, I was already booked in for new ones, so yeah, I guess I deserved that one , the second time was for "not enough padding on steering wheel"... , and the third time because I'd forgotten to pay my rego... literally 2 days overdue Each time he had to completely chuck a U-turn and 'chase' me (i.e. exceed the speed limit) to catch me... obviously he sees the hotplate taillights and something just snaps! The first time, he handed me the defect and I saw the name and looked at him (he wasn't wearing a name tag?) ... he said "Recognise my name, hey?" when I just smiled, he said "So, am I as mean and nasty as everyone says I am?"... I chose to hold my tongue on that one

Haha no... I was behind you (in the Lancer) so didn't get a look at the front.

White 33 with SAU stickers (and no rear wing IIRC) turning from Cathies Lane onto High Street Road around 6:45PM last night.
  4. Hahahaha charles that's awesome Washed the 33 today (of course it started raining literally minutes after I finished ) so figured I'd take a couple of snaps while it's clean... (I know that the blue mesh isn't to everyone's taste, but I like it, so meh! ) (Carbon-fibre wrapping of mirrors, B-pillars and most of the interior by Charles )

Spotted WANZI about 5 minutes ago at Jumbo Kebabs in Mitcham. Was in the old Magna with L plates (giving the GF's brother some driving hours and educating him in the cullinary arts of kebbabage )

Spotted some shiny new SAU-Vic stickers on my car this afternoon Maybe now I'll finally get spotted after 4.5 years (though I've really gotta clean it and take some new pics... it looks nothing like my avatar or any of the photos I've put up in the past now...)

Oh but it is... all the stupid one-way streets... Though the 'cross-city-tunnel' is pretty awesome...
  8. When I was on my P's, I had to do the same... 5% on the rear... looks great, but reversing at night can be a little tricky
  9. 1. boost 2. boost 3. boost Oh look! I just *happen* to have a few spare boost gauges for sale
  10. Bumpity bump... come on guys, I really want the rest of these gone! Make me an offer!
  11. +1 Same goes for the 'closed lane' inbound on the Monash... there's signs telling drivers to merge left for 2KM... yet so many people insist on sticking in the lane until right where the lane ends (i.e. there's bollards and a sign in the middle of the lane!) and then trying to merge (usually with no indicator ). This disrupts the flow even more than usual, and probably only gets them a handful of cars ahead (As they've gotta try and merge into almost-stopped traffic, instead of just slotting into the flow).
  12. I've used National Windscreens a few times now and they've been pretty good...

I'm pretty sure that in the (almost) 5 years I've had my 33, I've never been spotted... but then again I've got standard plates, and it's a 33... so it just kinda blends in with the rest of 'em!
  16. Hahaha Charles... may I suggest you get some help for your obsession... Just kiddin', they look great! I've been planning to just re-paint my wiper arms for a while now... perhaps I'll get you to wrap them instead so that they match the dash
  17. Come on guys... good, cheap boost gauge... make me an offer!

Ouch! That would have been pretty pricey! What happened? Spotted you I think it was Friday morning around 7:30ish on Springvale Rd, just before Ferntree Gully Rd (I was turning to jump on the Monash).

Just spotted ECR33 (I think that's what it was - White 33) with the hazards going on Burwood Hwy near Mountain Hwy... hope it's nothing bad mate.
  20. Looking fantastic! VN/VP/VQ/VR Commo?
  21. I've been considering something like this for a while now... Go ghetto Swing past bunnings and grab a 12v electronic irrigation solenoid... put it in the plumb-back line, and you're done. When the valve is shut, you'll get flutter as it's blocked, when open you'll get the sneeze.
  22. Ah, that's not gonna be going ot the power steering... it'll be for your boost controller I'm guessing. If you don't connect it, chances are you'll get infinite boost. I'd be putting a nipple on the new piping ASAP.
  23. Nobody denies an accident at 150km/h is going to have a more devistating impact than one at 50km/k... but what 'really grinds my gears' is when 'high powered vehicle' or 'hoons' or 'speeding' or even 'P Platers' (no, I'm not one any more...) are hilighted in an accident where the driver was either blind drunk or whacked out on drugs... it doesn't matter what vehicle they were driving, they weren't actually IN CONTROL of the vehicle... that's the problem right there. Same goes where a 'Learner Driver' is cited as running off the road or whatever and then they say that there was no licensed driver with them... sorry, no. If there's no licensed driver instructing, you're not a LEARNER DRIVER, you're an UNLICENSED DRIVER.
  24. An even easier way: Grab a standard plastic bottle top... i.e. off a coke bottle or whatever. Take the plumback hose off the BOV, push the bottle top down the hose a little, and put it back on. It can't go any further down, as it'll hit the solid plumback line, but it will just block it off nicely. You can even drill a hole in the middle if you want to reduce the flutter a bit without killing it completely... I did this on my 33 a while back... got sick of the hektik flutterz after a while so I took it out... I found I got about another 1-2PSI extra as the bleed hole wasn't... well... bleeding
  25. Still got a few left... been using one in the 33 for over a year now and it's never missed a beat...
